The Dailey Method

I try and fit in as much working out as I can, but with my hectic work schedule it is tough. I made a reservation online back in March, and took my class with Amanda. I really enjoyed this class! Although it was hard, I knew I had to get in shape after having four kids! Yikes! So after trying out this class, I decided I would try and come as often as I could. I was able to make it around two days a week. After four months, I have started to gradually see results! I know I know, going two days a week obviously won’t give you the most drastic results, but I plan on going more and achieving the body I had before I had my kids. Love the idea of the barre method and recommend it to everyone! Even kids! They have kids classes. Love love love!

I have only taken one class so far at this location but have been to other barre type studios over the years (Pure Barre) and i have to say that i really enjoyed this class. I took the basics class to start with from Emily and she could not have been nicer or more welcoming. It really made me feel at ease when i was nervous getting back into the workout game after 2 babies close together.
The workout was challenging but Emily gave really great corrections when form was off, which i appreciated. The only thing that differed for me between my Pure Barre experience and this was that there was less ab workout and quieter/​calmer music throughout. In my Pure Barre classes they would blast fast pace music to really get everyone into the exercise.
Overall, I enjoyed it (and was sore the next day!) and will definitely be back!

It’s beautiful on the inside, and a very comfortable place to work out. Their reservations are made online. Classes can and do fill up, so you really should reserve a spot. They have a kids club Mondays through Saturdays in the morning.
They offer plenty of classes, and have two studios. Every instructor is great. I really liked my latest class with Amanda.
Everyone should try to do these classes on a regular basis. They’re great for your alignment and core strength.

This is an incredible studio and these classes will change your body!
I wanted to wait until I had taken 6 weeks of classes to review and now, after 6 weeks of taking classes 2 – 3 times a week I understand what the hype is about. I am a dedicated gym goer and runner and consider myself in excellent shape (or at least I used to be!!). I decided to try the Dailey Method after giving birth to my twins, and not bouncing back as quickly as I had with my older daughter, despite exercising and eating well. After my first week here, I started to think it was a waste of time since I wasn’t walking out of here dripping with sweat and I doubted that I burned even half the calories as I did running. After 6 weeks, I see changes in my body that I would never have imagined. My abs look pretty decent considering I gave birth to over 11 pounds of baby just under 7 months ago, my thighs are toned and strong, and my butt looks great. After I had my twins, I had a three finger gap in my abdominal muscles. My gap is now down to less than 1 finger and I give partial credit this studio (the other credit goes to my wonderful physical therapist!!)
The workouts are challenging-​those who find this class easy are not doing the exercises right. The hour flies by. The instructors are amazing. They are warm, motivating and give you a lot of individualized attention. I especially love Leanne and Natalia.
They also have childcare during some of the classes, and while I have not taken advantage of it yet, I might (its just that to leave three kids in there costs the same as getting a sitter, so I might as well leave them home). However I do intend to keep coming here as often as I can and look forward to getting stronger.

Such a gorgeous studio and a life-​changing method! I love this location. It is close to my work and I can take a mid-​day class to re-​charge in the middle of the day. Everyone at the studio is very positive and warm — you will get great instruction at Kenilworth. I’ve taken classes with Leanne and Natalie — two of my favorites although everyone is super fabulous.
I have been taking classes at the Dailey Method in Bucktown for about 18 months and I love, love, love the method. I love that this Kenilworth location opened up near my work so I can take classes at this gorgeous studio as well.
The Dailey Method is a combination of yoga, pilates, ballet barre work, and orthopedic exercises. A life-​long runner, I had several knee issues coming into my work at the Dailey Method. I had been in physical therapy, had done yoga for over a decade, and tried pilates for a few years. Nothing really helped my knee issues — my knee cap would slide around and I would inevitably be injured again. My PT had mentioned that my thigh and seat muscles needed to be strengthened to help support my knee but no form of exercise really strengthened these enough until I started taking TDM. Now my legs are completely different — strong, toned, and — most importantly — injury free. Seriously. A life-​changer.
The physical results are incredible and amazing. You will work hard and it will pay off!
In addition, the positive atmosphere here at Kenilworth will help increase your confidence and motivation. The philosophy of The Dailey Method is a two-​fold — we are not just bodies and we are not just minds — TDM really brings it all together.
The studio is lovely — the locker room is like a spa. Great facilities. And the little shop in front has great stuff — lululemon, Zobha, OmGirl.
The TDM socks are great. You’ll be going so often to TDM Kenilworth that you’ll need to replace them — and once you do, they also make great slippers for around the house.
Also, if they offer workshops — TAKE THEM! I have been doing this method for a long time and I still re-​take the workshops to get deeper into the method and see different results. These are master instructors and they are awesome!
