Meh, it’s not the best chain of hotels in the first place so I sort of knew what we were getting into when we stopped here. Sadly we had no choice because we got caught in a terrible rain storm at night.
The room is a little run down and out-dated. Old big backed TV with no working remote even though we went to the desk to get another one. Internet is free, pretty fast and the mattress is comfortable enough. I’m a little scared to sleep under these blankets but hey, I haven’t seen any bugs… yet. There’s an old dusty vent that makes me fear for my lungs but it’s only for a night and i’m dead tired. It’ll do.

Keep on drivin. Or truckin. Or whatever. Just keep on going. Do not get trapped here in the middle of the night like we did. All the hotels from Rocky Mount on down were full, and we had to stop.
I didn’t sleep a wink. It wasn’t the worst I’ve been in, but the mattresses were old and the sheets kept coming undone, exposing the mattress and the comforters were the gross scratchy polyester type.
Just find a Hampton Inn and make a reservation.
