Dark, cramped store with more outdated clothing than worth the effort. But like any charity store, the fun is digging through the stuff for hidden treasure.
Poor checkout clerk at the entrance kept having to ask incoming customers to shut the door.

Not a large selection of clothing but what they do have is of decent quality and it’s well organized. Clothing prices are the same as other thrift stores in the area.
Very large book and furniture selection. I was in a hurry so I didn’t get enough time to browse but I will definitely come back to spend some time looking at the books.
The bathroom is rather hideous.
Customer service is good and friendly.
They offer a discount for students or military.

A place to find some nice prices, once a month or so.
Since my last review I’ve started having better luck, Not because much has changed though, but because there are strategies for getting reasonable prices. I’ve also gleaned some information, and it sounds like they don’t put anything on eBay, which is the way things ought to be.
So, that special strategy I mentioned earlier? Turns out every once in a while they have a store-​wide half-​off sale. If you are fast, and lucky, you can find some pretty good deals. Almost everything is still priced at retail, normally, and half-​off that still doesn’t seem like a thrift store price, but it’s better, I suppose, which is why I’m giving them another star.
In my previous review I mentioned how they’re trying to sell PC games, so I guess I’ll talk about that again. Well, as their PC game collection expands, it’s begun taking over new drawers. I think right now, 3 of their 6 drawers of games are overflowing with PC games that aren’t selling, and they’re not going to sell. Used PC games don’t sell, which is why GameStop stopped carrying them. They might sell if they were put in a 50-​cent bin or something though. Until then though I’m afraid at this rate they’ll run out of room in the store…
Also, it’s worth mentioning that the staff here is pleasant, and are usually happy to be of service. They get backed up sometimes when it’s busy, but they do good work, and I think that’s worth another star. :)

Well well well, I consider myself an American Picker (of thrift stores). I misjudged this place, they DO have treasures to be found.
I have brought home some good deals here. I only go for the furniture, lamps, kitchenware, art, and barware. I can’t speak for the clothing. I have picked up awesome beer steins here.

AI love a good thrift store. A three is just about right for SVDP. Not horrible, not impressive.
I did find a couple items but the pickings were slim. There was no musty smell in the store and it was fairly clean but the set up and atmosphere was just dated and dingy.
Employees were friendly. I dunno, it’s okay. Prices are on the high side. Sorry, not paying $ 20 for used jeans at a thrift shop.

It’s a great place to treasure hunt, to find gems that you found not find anywhere else. The staff is super helpful and friendly apart from one buzz kill, you find a job that makes you happy, talking to people and being friendly is not the path for you. Last time I was here picked up army inform for my Soldier zombie costume and a shark steam cleaner and found forty bucks in the parking lot, score one for the good guys

Pricey. Selection is about average for a thrift store and the book/​video section is the best stocked. Quite a few knick-​knacks, mostly cheap junk. Dusty. Condition of some items is unacceptable at any price (i.e. broken). The staff is neither friendly nor unfriendly — seems they didn’t care if I ever came back.
I saw a very expensive item that I wanted (it was way overpriced for a thrift store, for eBay, for any retail outlet) and it turned out it was 50% off due to a one-​day sale. Not having the cash on me at the time (it was overpriced even at such a discount), I showed up the next morning when the doors opened and asked if the sale price could be honored. Like any good thrift store employee, she curtly refused. I understand sales must end, but someone asks to spend a considerable amount at your THRIFT store the moment the doors open after a sale and you won’t allow it?
I’ll probably drop in again during another of their sales but at no other time would I bother. Has it dawned on these people that if prices were perhaps dropped a bit, more customers would appear?

The people who work here seem nice although a bit slow. I mean that in both the literal way and euphemistic way. The woman who works the cash register seems to always forget the days special, even after I tell her while handing her the item. «This is half off, orange tag» and she charges me full price. Who knows, maybe she does not like my patronizing tone? Gary, who has worked there for years, is great.
Great furniture section. Great books. Clothes are better elsewhere. Pricing is incredibly high for a thrift shop carrying this level of merchandise though. Recently I saw a DVD player, Sony brand, nothing special marked at $ 49.00. An old backpack with a broken zipper was selling for $ 18.00. A pair of jeans which sell new at WalMart (I bought a pair) for $ 9 were selling for $ 10.00 here. And they were ratty.
I feel like they got a new pricing guide and it is way off. Plan on spending twice as much for the same item here as the Value Village down the street.

This store is bigger than I thought it would be. I wouldn’t really go here for clothing. They don’t have much selection for men’s clothing. However, the furniture section in the back is a decent size and they have a great selection of books. I like how they have actually taken the time to alphabetize their books. I always hate going through books in thrift stores that are all out of order. Nicely done here.
I didn’t actually purchase anything so I’m not sure how the staff are, but I might return someday to see if they’ve got new furniture in.

QUICK SUMMARY: If you wanna pop some tags, this isn’t the place for you. Poor clothes selection. Overpriced knick-​knacks. Unfriendly staff.
FULL REVIEW: I like thrift shops and looking around for vintage goods. Unless this store is having one of their regular 50% off sale, items are overpriced and good items are scarce.
Drive a bit up the road and check out Goodwill on 145^th and 15^th.

This is a pretty decent thrift store overall. The prices are relatively low and they do daily specials. like 50% off certain colors etc. They have a ton of kitchen stuff… not much in the sporting goods category, lots of womens clothes but not anything really great. Huge book and furniture selection too. It’s good enough to be on my thrift store circuit!

This is just like Goodwill store, though it is downgraded version of it.
The place is big and has a lot of stuff to browse through. Though the quality of how they keep merchandise is not what I expected. Many things have dust all over and just standing there.
Electrics do not look promising to work at all… I’m pretty sure some of them work still, but it is a bit risky.

Pros:
divided into categories so easy to find what you’re looking for. A lot of clothes. Furniture, records and cassettes, dvd, videos as well. Kids toys are also available.
Cons:
very dusty. some things just look like standing there forever. The place is not clean so if you have asthma or some sort, I wouldn’t recommend going in there.

I love to shop here! Not because I am (ahem) not rich, but because you can get so much stuff for CHEAP! I mean, what’s wrong with getting a used blender for $ 6.00 or a used but very clean hardback novel for two bucks, or a pair of jeans for $ 7.00! I come here mostly for the books and the vids, and believe it or not, I am still a fan of VHS. Tapes are only $ 0.99 each, and CD’s and DVD’s are only $ 1.99 each. You can furnish your whole house here if you’re on a budget. All the furniture and home appliances and knick knacks are in fine condition, and with $ 100 you could have a field day here.
Sometimes there is a satisfaction in not being rich, in not having to have the latest and greatest of everything. I’m not afraid to say that I love to shop at St. Vincent’s

I’ve stopped in several times in my vintage cloth hunt. The selection is close to zero my search. I’ve even perused everything else in the store (furniture, books, household goods) and see nothing of interest. I’ve given up.

It’s the closest thrift store to me, which is a plus, but it’s not always as cheap as the Goodwill. But it’s worth a glance.

This review is more about the donation process than the shopping experience.
I have attempted to donate and successfully donated several times. I brought by household items that were clean and in good shape and boxes of books. My husband and I have been turned away many times without even so much as a look at what we’re bringing in.
Just this weekend I brought in 8 large bags of quality clothing items, washed and folded, and didn’t even get any eye contact let alone a thank you. I’d rather not come back and donate again.

This St. Vincent’s is ok when you need a quick thrift pick-​me-​up, but it’s not one of the better locations.
The furniture and book sections are well organized, but the clothing tends to be a bit out of control. I tend to just glance over the collectibles and housewares section because the shelves always seem to be too crowded to really look at the items they have available.

I like this St. Vinny locale — I don’t know why — but I have always liked it, it’s old, but it’s got a lot of good, cheap junk. And if you don’t mind digging you can find some gems! Just last week I got an almost brand new set of pastel oils for 99 cents! The same day my friend found one of those cast iron dinosaur cake pans from Williams Sonoma here for $ 6 — c’mon now, you gotta admit that is a smokin’ deal!!! The same day we also found an old irish linen tablecloth for less than $ 20 — how can you go wrong???
And, I just have to mention this — we gave away these pins at my work for some cause — they had one in the ‘collectible’ case — entertainment like that is priceless!
Plenty of parking — after you can go over to Bastyr University and have a healthy lunch or the bowling alley (Kenmore Lanes) and have a not-​so-​healthy lunch.

That is the sound of me wrestling over whether I should share this gem of a thrift store with others or horde all of the goodies to myself.
Clearly the little angel on my shoulder won this battle.
Seriously, best thrift store around. It’s just far enough out of the city that things aren’t all picked over, but it’s not so far out of the city that you end up with a bunch of cheap crap. Sure, you’ve gotta dig, it’s a thrift store after all, but this one has a lot less digging than others.
Things I’ve found at this thrift store include:
A Barbers Chair!
A scale from the 40’s that looks like it was designed by Chrysler.
A glass plate with bamboo inlays.
Vintage fabric that will never be made into that project I’ve been mulling over but was quite the find nonetheless.
Old Time Life magazines.
Books.
Plus, all the proceeds go to charity. Isn’t that worth something little angel?
