As long as the snobby girls work there, stay away. The Port deserves better merchants. They didn’t even acknowledge my wife standing at the front counter, wallet open, trying to be a customer, buying food for six. She literally walked out after not even bring acknowledged. This town deserves so much better. My wife is unbelievably patient, so it was really bad for her to walk out angry.

Service was kind of slow with no real direction. We didnt know if we should wait to be seated, where to order, or even where/when to pay. Once we figured out a few of those details we had a tough time deciding what to order. All their crepes looked amazing as did their classic breakfasts and bagel sandwiches. All three of us ordered crepes and they turned out pretty good. They were very large and very filling. The music they played while we ate was soooo good! I couldnt help but dance/wiggle a little in my seat. For a warm breakfast with good music check this place out, but make sure you arent in a rush as they can be kind of slow.

Life is grand when you are walking around a new area and walk by a place you just KNOW is a local favorite but still chill enough for everyone to enjoy. Parked at the corner of town up from the tourists I found this café. I really liked the interior as I walked in. It’s got that awesome contemporary coffee house feel, yet retaining that homey nature with various art pictures on the wall. It’s also much more spacious than it seems from the outside. I’m not an expert, but they had some of the best balanced crepes I’ve ever had. I’m not sure if the menu stays the same all the time or if they mix it up, but when I was there they had this awesome crêpe special where the happy marriage of prosciutto, marsala-soaked figs, and goat cheese fill a buckwheat crêpe, topped with crème fraîche. Little bits of salty, savory, sweet, tangy, and creamy made me one happy camper. No one item overpowered the other. There was also a vegan, gluten-free batter here for savory and sweet crepes which I’m tempted to try for the next round. Friendly service, cozy atmosphere and a very reasonable lunch price tag for such amazing food quality. I’m definitely happy I found the spot and thought I would share the love.

My husband and I were enjoying a beautiful weekend at the Kennebunkport Inn. We thought it might be nice to sit on the porch and enjoy a cup of coffee, so we went into Café Couture. I asked the woman behind the counter for a cup of coffee, and she seemed annoyed. Then she told me she’d make me an Americano because it’s «the same thing». I said sure until my husband told me it’s not the same thing, it’s Espresso and water. So I told her no thanks, I’d go somewhere else because I wanted a regular coffee. She insisted, in an annoyed tone, that it was the same thing. We left without getting anything. A little effort on customer service and politeness would go a long way here. Also — I have a tip for them — serve coffee(you’re a café!). Drop the attitude.

I had a VERYUNPLEASANTEXPERIENCE wit the cook of Café Couture and for this reason DONOTRECOMMEND the restaurant. I was walking with my dog(on a leash) by the café and my dog accidentally sniffed at a plate on the restaurant’s patio that was essentially empty except for a piece of bread/taco on the side of the plate. The customer had left the table and was talking to a friend on the sidewalk when this happened. The cook was there, chatting with the customer and someone else and when he saw what my dog did –which he should not have done for sure – he started yelling at me and then KICKEDMYDOG. I told him not to do that, walked away, and then came back to ask the customer if he wanted me to pay for another plate, or if indeed he had finished, etc. The customer indicated this was unnecessary/he had finished but the argument with the cook began again. I was really taken aback by the cook’s aggressiveness(and I’m a psychologist). I am not defending what my dog did, but the offense was not great, and kicking an animal is not okay. I’m also quite certain that the meal had been finished. I personally do not want to do business with people who act in such a way, and believe it is as important as the food served.

Cool new café/creperie in the Port. Good espresso, outdoor seating, and friendly staff make this place.
