These donuts are so good. We love this place, good location and they always have something new. Not to mention the donuts are huge!

Horrible experience!!! Employees are smartasses & rude. Also they don’t honor their coupons they put out. I downloaded their app. It states 3 free donuts. But the employee said glazed only but they only had 2& what I thought she said I can pick out a shelf donut. So I did a plain blueberry. Then the employee charges me for that one. I said I thought they were free. She then said no only the glazed and she could take a shell doughnut and poke a hole in it. Like how am I supposed to know what the heck that is??? So I said that was fine & didn’t make a difference to me but she got snippy with me since she had to cancel her register transaction now. My point is the little reward did not state glazed with holes only. I would have liked to have tried a plain chocolate donut and a plain blueberry donut. Then I went to buy a king cake for $ 20 and I went to use my $ 10 certificate which said you had to spend $ 20 or more. Now the employee tells me I can’t use it on the king cake. No where in their store states thst you cannot use these on king cakes & the coupon itself doesn’t state that either. I bought it a few months ago. This place in my opinion is terrible.

I usually judge doughnut shops on their apple fritters. It’s extremely crispy while not being paper thin. It’s also the size of my head. I have a large head. Great flavor with lots of cinnamon. Perfect. Now that I’m writing this, I’m about to go to bed so I can wake up and they’ll be open so I can have donuts for breakfast. All of their donuts are huge(and great). I forgot the price exactly, I want to say a couple dollars each, but they’re gigantic. One is all you need, two if you’re starving.

Stopped here for coffee and donuts for dessert with my fiancé. The people were friendly, the coffee was strong and the donuts were delicious. We tried the apple fritter– it was awesome! Crispy in the edges and nice Apple throughout. We also tried the maple bacon. The bacon was nice and the donut was good; the maple glaze was good but really sweet. Overall, a yummy dessert!

Came in around 9pm for some dessert with my fiancé. We tried two of their more popular items: the apple fritter and the maple bacon. They probably weren’t super fresh as it was getting close to closing time, but that’s what you’d expect for a donut shop. Anyway, they were still pretty but, but not great. I enjoyed the smokey bacon taste in the maple bacon. They were also out of a lot of stuff, again can’t fault them for that. The service was quick and friendly.

Absolutely THEBEST sliders in town! They were made to order, which took about 10 minutes, but they were totally worth the wait. The donuts were great as well. The girls behind the counter were very friendly

As others said if zero stars were an option I would give zero. I took my family here at 9am on Saturday morning. You would think they would have everything ready to go. They had no iced doughnuts ready and they chocolate was not heated so it would be a while before they were ready. I tried to order a few different things and each was more of an issue than the last. I finally settled on glazed and placed my ordered and the girl behind the counter looked at me confused and asked the person behind me what she wanted to order. We never tasted a doughnut but the service spoke for itself. We will never return.

Well, I had to deduct a star from my first review. I wrote it before anyone bit into the filled donuts. After bringing home the donuts, several of my family members endulged in them. They loved the size and the plain glazed donuts were as expected.yummy. But they were slightly dissapointed in the amount of filling in most of the filled donuts. I would say it was maybe quarter sized. My brother added nutella after cutting it in half just to make up for the lack of filling.

I have heard great things about this donut shop from several friends, so I drove from Saint Charles parish to give it a try. I had the donut with bacon on top, which looked outstanding and my kids had the chocolate glazed donuts. It was about eight o clock when we went, so they didn’t have much to choose from. When we got home and ate our treats they were stale. Big disappointment. A week later I we ate at Zea’s and I took the family back to Cop a donut. Well it was only seven thirty and all they had in the display case was lucky charm covered donuts and that was it. I asked the cashier if they were going to drop another batch and she said nope. I hope this place makes it, but if they don’t get their act together it will be another empty space. I’m going to try one more time, but earlier this time when they have a fresh batch.

Yes, I’m a BLUE customer. This a new commercialized area with a strip mall starting out. Cop a Donut is clearly a humorous play on us all. Well, let me get to the donuts. I’m a «try one at time donut» person to see what each confection has to offer. I got the glazed cake. REALLY fresh, soft appealing airy dough, the perfect amount of glaze! Rich taste with notes of vanilla and butter. A bigger sized donut than most places and a great value. Next visit, it’s apple fritter time!!!

Great donut shop with a wonderful selection of donuts that range from your typical cake or glazed donuts to the new and unusual such as the PB&J. You can’t go wrong with this place.

This is really strange, but as I was reading the reviews on this place, one of the one star reviews seemed familiar. As I was reading it, I realized I was there when it happened. In the review the lady complained about a girl eating chicken fingers and not washing her hands to handle the donuts. While this did happen, she is not telling the whole truth. While the lady, who wrote the review, was waiting in line, the girl up front was having issues with the register and had to get somebody to help her. This seemed to agitate the review lady and she seemed all huffy and impatient. The girl eating her food(was she on break?) picked up on this and got up to help her. I did see her try to walk up to the sink to wash her hands, but someone doing maintenance on the soda fountain blocked the sink. While the girl did not wash her hands, I saw her use those paper wraps to grab the donuts. She did not touch any donuts with her hands at all. I watched her because I am a germaphobe myself. It pisses me off when people leave negative comments and only give some of the truth. I came on here to write my own review and just happened to stumble on that one review, so I first had to write my take on it. I came in from out of town and a friend of mine told me about this place. Since it was near the airport I decided to give it a try before heading downtown. When I first walked in this place had a fun retro feel to it. It seems they really went high quality with the décor. There were a lot of donuts to choose from. I was curious and tried the«maple bacon» and was not disappointed. As most of the reviews sated, these donuts are HUGE! The place overall was clean and I felt the staff was friendly. Was it over the top five star service? No, it wasn’t. A bit slow? Maybe. I went in the afternoon when it was slow, so if things flowed the way they did when I was there during a rush I could see why people would complain. This is a great mom and pop place! Next time when I come back to town I will surely come back again. Hopefully they will be brushed up on their customer service, while not bad, there is room for improvement. A+ for the food B+ for service.

I gave them another try. Things weren’t much better. I ordered four donuts, two had frosting on top. The lady put all four into a white bag and said she separated them with wax paper. Well, the wax paper stuck to the frosting and the donuts were plain on top. The lady who helped me had previously been eating chicken tenders behind the counter and I did not see her wash her hands nor did she wear gloves. She went back to the chicken tenders after packing my bag of donuts. I’m sorry, but I’m going to have to call it quits with this place.

One of my donuts was delicious and the other was stale. The coffee was atrocious even though I’ve had good New Orleans Roast dark roast elsewhere. The big problem was service. Calling it slow and confused is too kind. Unless you have an ocean of time and are willing to roll the dice on consistency, avoid this donut shop.

I don’t like donuts, plain and simple. This place is close to my house and to start a long car trip last weekend, my friend asked if we could stop to get donuts. Because of the convenient location, she decided we should stop and get the donuts from Cop A Donut. I waited in the car and as soon as she returned I noticed a heavenly smell wafting from her bag. She offered for me to try a piece of her donut and oh my my. it was a hot, fresh, HUGE glazed donut that literally melted in my mouth. I’ve never tasted donuts quite like that before. This weekend we decided to give it another try and they didn’t disappoint. Not only did they give a repeat performance of their glazed donuts, but we also ventured out and tried one of their glazed jelly donuts and a honey bun. They’d also just made a couple of batches of fresh brownies and the owner walked around offering samples. Seriously good stuff. We took one of those to go. While this business is new, the staff is courteous and friendly and the dining area is spacious, comfortable, and clean. I highly recommend a trip to Cop A Donut — it has made me a convert.

Light and fluffy! Order the maple bacon, chocolate covered, glazed, and apple crumble. Take the advice of another reviewer and request the maple bacon with Bavarian cream. The maple bacon is delicious without, but was certainly missing some cream. The chocolate and glaze were still warm and fresh. Might be my mistake, but I was expecting an apple filling in the apple crumble. Despite no filling the apple crumble was still amazing. The staff is polite and always smiling. Though there are still some room to grow primarily in training and attention to detail. The sizes of the donuts make up for the increased costs. The prices are a slightly higher than what I’m used to paying. This place can only get better. I’m sure within the course of 6 months they will be a well oiled machine.

I pass this place all the time at my job and could not wait for it to open. The day finally came and I was so excited to try these donuts. I have to say, these are the best donuts I have ever had! They are ginormous! I have never seen donuts this big before(which justifies the price $ 1 a donut). I am literally hooked, I keep stopping by this place when I pass by it while at work. My favorite donut is the Maple Bacon Long John. They also take requests because I asked if I could have a maple bacon donut filled with Bavarian cream and they happily complied. As some of the other reviews stated, the place is new so they need to iron out a few kinks. It just seemed as all the staff are new and are learning. However, none of this changed the fact their donuts are AMAZING! I am going to gain so much weight :(Good thing there is a gym next door!

I had been following them on facebook too so I decided to treat my coworkers to a dozen($ 12) last week. I arrived around 8am on a weekday and there were about 5 people in line already. The owner was giving out free samples of their cinnamon rolls which was very sticky and sweet. I decided to stay with my original plan and order the hot glazed donuts. The line moved very slow so I had plenty of time to observe. The cashiers(2) didnt have a clue as to what to do. They seemed frazzled and lost. The owners were sure oblivious of what was going on. He was sitting on the front counter while one girl had zero multi tasking skills and the other had zero sense of urgency. For example, When it was my turn, I placed my order with one girl and paid at the register with another girl. After paying I waited at the counter because the other girl had my order in her hand but a coworker asked her a question so she helped them all while still holding my order and then forgot why she was holding a box of donuts until I waved at her. The cashier was not concerned at all that I paid yet continued to stand there. At one point I started to say something about it and she was so confused she answered oh the glazed are in the oven. Lol This is just one example of what what going on that morning and the owner(his title was on his chef coat) was sitting in la la land on the counter and the other owner is scooping samples. At one point I heard one of the cooks saying he was tired and that he was ready to go home and the owner was breaking the news to him that they were in the middle of rush hour. I understand they just opened so I will give them another chance. I saw someone on fb post that their breakfast(grits, eggs, etc) were reasonably priced and good so I’ll try that out next time. Oh and the donuts were good but Tastee on Loyola is still my fav. and cheaper.

This place just opened up three days ago so I won’t be too harsh. I had been following them on Facebook and hope that someone gives the person who runs their social media some tips on how to run a fb page for a business. Anyways, everyone was very nice and seemed to be low stress(middle of the day Saturday) which is great. We ordered the maple bacon donut, which according to the menu is $ 2, but I was charged $ 3. I’m going to write that off as first week jitters. The donut itself was delicious and probably the best one on the menu! I do plan on buying a dozen for my coworkers in the future. Overall — very nice mom and pop store.
