I feel two stars is actually kind of generous for this buffet. It was a pretty disappointing experience for myself and my fiancé. The service was friendly and that was a plus. The chicken wings and black pepper chicken were also good. But that’s about it. The rest of the food was pretty terrible, some bordering on inedible. We eat at Chinese buffets every now and then so we weren’t expecting sit down restaurant quality food. But this was just a poor quality buffet, unfortunately. If you do go, I would be wary of the sushi, as it was very dry and we wondered how Lin it had actually been sitting.

Jumbo Buffet was a jumbo disappointment. My fiancé and I decided to give it a try after seeing it on a list of the top Chinese Buffets in the country. We were surprised, but thought we should give it a try. Well, I don’t think the publication that made that list ever tasted the food. Several of the beef and chicken dishes were either really bland or had meat that was mushy and gross. Almost all of the sushi uses a snow crab mix or crab stick. The best thing I ate was probably the plate I brought up to the hibachi cook. At least that is made to order and had some flavor. I much prefer East buffet in Metairie to this place.

This place is terrible. Price is expensive, $ 13.99 for dinner on weekdays. Food is old and there is not much to choose from. Staffs were very rude and unfriendly at the time we came. They gave us a bad attitude when my family stop by for dinner; not asking how the food was or even offered the water refill. One of the waitresses walked back and for and kept starring at us while we were eating. This is a good place for family gathering or even for yourself to eat.

No. Just no. The food here is average at best. I went for the crab legs and they literally only put out 5 legs at a time. They were gross anyways. Tasted like they only boiled them in plain water with no salt. The ice cream smelled rancid and I hope I don’t get sick from the few licks I ate. The only thing that tasted decent was the sushi.

I understand seafood can be salty but some of the seafood was overly salty. Some food items were either bland or overly salty. Might have just caught them on a not so good day. Will only come back if Im super hungry and the other buffet is closed.

Best buffet I’ve ever been to. That’s not exactly saying a whole lot, considering how buffets tend to go, but it’s something. TONS of seafood for a cheap price. And in all sincerity, everything was pretty good! Would definitely go back.

If I could give this place a lower rating I would. Let me begin by saying the food there is disgusting and unsafe. None of the food is hot, if barely warm. Multiple members of my party(some went to culinary school) agreed that some of the dishes were definitely rancid. We warned our waitress and they said it’s fine without even checking the food. This makes me worried for other people’s safety. On top of having horrible food(besides the ice cream), there service is terrible. The staff here is usually rude and snappy when you speak to them. They left one of my family members standing around after they said they would get something for them, then lied to them. The lady then ignored my family member when they were trying to get her attention. A lot of disrespect happened after that… They apparently have a manager but the workers don’t know when the manager comes in, or the managers contact information. The young guy there just smiled at us when we were obviously upset about some of the incidents that happened. Worst of all, after eating here I got sick. I’d rather eat at any other buffet in the area and I definitely will never go back.

I went today for the Sunday buffet. $ 15.21 w/tax No drink. Its more than the weekday of 9.99 because they have dinner items out, like crab legs. When I see reviews I like to see prices because that’s a factor to me. For $ 15– with crab legs its worth it. But some of the items were poor, some were average, some were good, overall nothing was really great .I would eat there again. Its hard to screw up snow crab legs. But my biggest problem with the place is the food temperature. The first crab rangoon I had was lukewarm at best. I bit into a mozzarella stick it was hard block of cheese, no creamy, guey hotness at all. The sushi was good. The chinese was very average. Horrible egg roll.1 of my favorites, if theyre good. Fried rice, i didnt even try, because of the looks. I don’t know if I would go there for the lunch at 9.99. Because the crab legs really is what made it for me .So dinner or weekends I think is better for me.

This place reminded me why I stopped going to Chinese buffets. The first thing was the yellow rice. Do not like places that use yellow rice to make shrimp fried rice. Well, in this case, just fried rice no shrimp. I went because they serve snow crabs on the buffet. It took forever for them to bring them out. Then when they finally brought more snow crabs, they only brought a few. They were horrible. Tasted like water. Absolutely no flavor at all.

This is one of the best buffets in the area. There sushi is great and there are many choices to choose from on each visit. The seafood is flavored with many varieties. Jumbo also has real Blue Bell ice cream which is another plus after a great meal.

Food was pretty good here for the most part. Only really bad thing was the temperature of the foods. Things that were supposed to be hot, were barely even warm. Things that were supposed to be cold were almost warm. Only complaint from me, really. I loved their sushi selection. Their hibachi was great as well. The thing I loved the most was their selection if ice cream. Great way to end a meal.

Let me start off by saying I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are a couple of items that are half decent, but for the most part it’s not great. There are a ton of choices here but most of them not worth eating. When we first arrived the lady took our drink order there were 5 in our party. Everyone got the drink they ordered except me. I didn’t even bother to ask for it because the waitress could have cared less. I was in good company so I enjoyed myself, but I won’t be going back.

This place is ridiculous, the owner denied me entrance because I have a service dog that detects strokes and low blood sugar. They are breaking the federal and state laws. The police have been called.

Wow… Seriously? I guess the other buffets in this area are poisoning people, because this place is only slightly above«edible» . Flavorless, bland everything… The general Tso had like zero flavor. I’m not sure how that can even be done, but they succeeded. They also clearly cooked the chicken hours before, because it was little fossilized nuggets in flavorless sauce. Sushi was flavorless and marginal, but they do get credit for a wider range than the normal buffet choices. Service was lousy really. No plate clearing until it was a stack. I guess if you’re all about stuffing quantity into your obese family and kids, then this should be your place. I won’t be back.

Best Buffet within the 10 mile radius of New Orleans. Everything is freshly made and has a delicious flavor. The assortment of foods can not be found anywhere else in this area. Excellent for lunch or dinner. Reasonably priced and an outstanding wait staff aiming to please you. The buffet has an on site Sushi chef, Habachi Chef and a head kitchen chef. If you purchase the same amount of food consumed at one meal at Jumbo, at a menu restaurant, you would pay well over $ 100. At Jumbo you pay one price of $ 12.95. per person. This dinning experience is as good as it gets. Go treat yourself to one of the best meals in our area. I’m getting hungry just writing about this and will be headed that way right now! See you there.

Impromptu lunch with 13 of my family members led us to Jumbo Buffet. It was a busy Sunday morning, but they seated us pretty fast. Only about half of us had been here before, but not me. This was maybe my second buffet place I have tried in the city so far. It was actually pretty darn good and I liked what they had to offer. It is basically Chinese food, some sushi, seafood, and a hibachi grill. I went straight for the hibachi, piled a bunch of meat and veggies on a plate and then man grilled it up. While I waited for it to cook I went through the rows and rows of food and put those on a new plate. They have so much stuff that you can really get your moneys worth. Lot of crab, crawfish, and oysters that can be eaten nonstop. I am usually wary about sushi, but theirs is pretty darn alright. The overall place is good quality and the service was also well. A nice try for when you are around Kenner.

The best kept secret. How do they sell all this amazing seafood for so cheap? What is special about this Buffett compared to some of the other ones is they put all the good seafood out even for lunch. Raw oysters, boiled crabs, mussels, jumbo easy to peel shrimp. Only thing they leave out of the lunch Buffett is snowcrab legs. The sushi tastes just as good as a non-Buffett. Always clean and fresh. They even have a hibachi grill. My favorite place to eat!

This is the best Chinese buffet that I have had in NOLA so far. 8 rows of food to choose from including a hibachi grill and the sushi was fresh which can be suspect at a buffet. Like most reviews say here, the staff was also very friendly. Definitely recommended if you are in the mood for some Chinese buffet.
