Good sushi, good service, nice ambiance. Went last week during happy hour. Had their house wine and two roles. Not the most beautiful or best taking, but good.

I fell in love with the Château roll 10 years ago. It pains me to give sake 3 stars. It’s based solely on the service I’ve recieved the last two times I’ve picked up. I’ve called in my order and was told«20 minutes» both times. When I got there(after the 20 minutes), I waited 45 minutes!!! None of the workers would look at me because they knew how ticked off I was. So rude and hence I had to write this review. But then I got home and tasted that Château roll and know I can’t stay away…

We decided to try out this sushi place since it was close to the house. The sushi is mediocre at best. Most of the specialty rolls sounded exactly the same. Flavorless, bad presentation and over priced. I was not over blown away by the service or the ambiance either. If you want high quality, fabulous sushi, I would recommend that you look for some place different.

By far one of my favorite sushi places. I get the same thing every time I go, just because it’s that good. It’s the Volcano roll. It has lots of spicy tuna on it which always taste so fresh! They have happy hour during the week until 6:00 where not only can you get half price drinks, you can get apps and sushi too. I always get the haru maki app during happy hour. It’s delicious and a smaller portion during happy hour which makes it perfect to eat with my Volcano roll. The service is great and the atmosphere is wonderful.

Portions are generous compared to other Japanese restaurants. Prices are fair for the food you get. I mainly go there for their entrees and drinks. When you are craving small-tasting plates then the appetizers will do the job since there is plenty to choose from. Most of the times i go during happy hour; my favorite appetizers such as gyoza, fish tempura, and shrimp shu mai are listed. Another good reason to spend an evening here are the bento box dinner, which is good value and has a little bit of the best tasting stuff; suggestions? Salmon teriyaki and shrimp tempura. What a better way to end your meal than having a delicious red bean or green tea deep-fried ice cream. Im only removing one star since the staff is not friendly, polite and courteous enough, especially the host/ess

this place is meh, this Americanized sushi is not even good. the place is lovely but the sushi taste like crap. if you want real sushi this isn’t the place to go. the sushi is pretty much tasteless and if you ever had real great sushi then you will understand.

Certainly not the best sushi in town. Sometimes I would say, it’s not even mediocre. I go bc it’s the closest place to my house and the happy hour prices are decent. I do really like the pineapple-rice lunch portion. Good price and yummy. The service, in particular isn’t good. One young girl really has given me bad service multiple times. She is always sitting and talking. She took 20MIN. to take my dinner order tonight. She said… «oops I thought more ppl were coming.» UMNO! They also charge for eel sauce and spicy mayo, which are the worst I’ve had at any sushi rest. If you’re from out of town, save yourself the trouble, drive a little further and go to Mikimoto or Kyoto 2!

My house is right around the corner from this place. We rarely ever eat in, normally we order take out. This is where I go/order from when I can’t really think of any other place to go and I want something fast. There’s nothing about this place that makes me go WOW, YES! Sake Café! Let’s go! Not a bad place to eat. Just ordinary… just okay.

honestly this place grew on me. they dont use authentic sushi rice but we like to go here for quick sushi.(our next options, ninja or rock n sake, are 10 miles away) they have added a lot more specialty rolls and so far the ones i tried are really good. all in the $ 14 price range. we usually order the tuna tataki, gyoza soup, moon roll and another specialty roll and our bill is usually around $ 50

I enjoy eating here. I typcially order the teriyaki salmon meal or the crispy honey chicken. It is very feeling and the lunch portions are reasonable.

The best sushi deal in town during Happy Hour from 3 – 6 sushi rolls for $ 2.99 plus i believe they have sake and drinks specials too. I always sit at the sushi bar as the chefs are friendly, remember a frequent face, and are way more attentive than the waitresses, There have been several times that they got me my sushi before the waitress even brought my drinks or rang up my order. You cant beat Sake for quality sushi

Went today during their«Happy Hour» from 3 – 6 for pretty good sushi rolls for $ 2.99. We tried the tempura crab sticks which were really good. Select beer and sake half price. Definitely worth an early supper for such a low price. We had five rolls, edamame, crab sticks and drinks for about $ 25. The wait staff were timely and accommodating.

This is my go-to place for sushi in the New Orleans area. Quite simply, the sushi here is awesome. Service is usually good, but every once in a while spotty. Haven’t been in a while; I should probably go next time I’m in NOLA.
