Each time I have been to this location it’s ridiculously under staffed. I have never seen more than one cashier working the front end. There was a beauty consultant capable of ringing out customers, but that’s not helpful when what you’re trying to purchase is behind the counter of the cashier. A UPS employee was waiting for a manager to sign for a package, and the manager didn’t want to come, which I heard as the cashier was asking her to do so, while ten of us «customers» were waiting to be checked out. Management here is terrible, but it’s a convenient location so my advice is to go on your way home from work.

Friendly non pharmacy employees. Pharmacy employees downright rude. Pharmacist slow as a snail. Prices highest around. Avoid if possible.

Ok I admit I love Walgreens. Where else can I work and shop at the same time. Today’s deal was 10 rolls of paper towels for 5.00 which is unbeatable and Tone body wash buy 1 get 1 free ;). The walgreens in Kenner is pretty spacious same great deals we all have come to love. Buy one get one free is my fav., 24 hour pharmacy, and friendly service… what’s not to love about Walgreens.

Pharmacy staff is always fast and friendly, it is open 24 hours which is a life saver for someone with a small child. It is clean and bright unlike the«other» place across the street. They always have a good selection of cosmetics and great sales and their seasonal items always rake me in. I am a fan!

Had to make a detour to Walgreens today to get the good allergy meds.(Fecking meth cookers…) They had plenty of the national brands along with the store brans and the Pharmacist I spoke with had a good handle on explaining the differences between each. Staff greeted me when I entered, and wished me a good day when I left. Little pleasantries are nice, it seems like we don’t see too much of that today, but then again it was Sunday morning, and not busy at all. One thing I noticed strange about this store is the only entrance to the parking lot is on W. Esplanade. Just seemed like it would make sense to also have an egress point at Loyola.

There’s not all that much that can be said to inform people about a Walgreens location, but I suppose I’ll give it a go. This location is one of those«Great I forgot to pick up [insert random object here] while at the store earlier today and now it’s 2am… oh wait! Walgreens down the street is 24⁄7.» type of conveniences. The staff here have always been courteous and helpful and tend to make an effort to strike up small conversation while you’re checking out at the register as opposed to the cashiers at the west bank locations that I’m used to. Those guys usually look they’re miserable in life and resemble zombies a bit. They have the usual Walgreens’ shelf stockings and a drive through pharmacy for those too lazy to park and go inside to fill their prescriptions. They also have a lovely Redbox machine outside which is I love and use quite often.
