Waited on line for roughly 20 min to get some fried chicken and biscuits at Alpharetta event, only to be told at the window they were out of biscuits. I get it, popular food truck at popular event, it happens. Surely they’ll at least offer a substitution for the missing biscuit. I ask for some tater tots for the missing biscuit, they said no. I then ask will you reduce the price as ½ of the order is missing, was again told«no». They countered I could pay full price and get the chicken only. Ridiculous!

Went to get some lemonade and they were all out– excited to try the food! They have the cutest and best designed food truck I’ve ever seen. I can’t wait to try the fried chicken sandwich and the blue cheese buttermilk siracha coleslaw

Deep south biscuit company was the first place I visited during Smyrna’s Food Truck Tuesday event, and can you blame me? Who can resist stuffing their face with fresh buttermilk biscuits? Throw in some fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, bacon, and yea, i’m in line! I settled on the Miss Lily($ 7), which is a Buttermilk biscuit sandwich with peanut oil fried chicken, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and local honey mustard. Now I love a good biscuit, but I was kinda underwhelmed by what I received. The biscuit was pretty hard and cool, almost like it had been sitting for a while(not really the soft, buttery biscuit I was expecting). The sandwich was just fine otherwise, but the star of the show, I thought, was the biscuit. Everyone can have a not so amazing day, and i’m definitely able to overlook it and give Deep South Biscuit Company another try if/when I see them again during another food truck event. I just hope next time I catch them, their biscuits steal the show Give them a try and see what you think!

It was great to finally be able to check this food truck out. We saw it last night at the Dunwoody Food Truck Thursdays. Gladly, we were there early so lines were not that long. With that said, we decided to try a couple trucks out. Saw that they had mostly biscuits on the menu, duhh! Hence the name! Haha, so me and my wife agreed on ordering the Ricky Bobby, which was phenomenal. That homemade gravy was really good. Just felt like the sandwich needed something to finish it off. A buddy of ours ordered some biscuits and jam. Tried the jam and was really good, so why not put some on the sandwich and see what it does? Sure, and it indeed made the difference. Overall, good food truck. We will check out another item from the menu whenever we get to hit more Food truck events!
