Good riddance. Who’s the one full of shit now, your crappy service and mediocre food drove you out of business. That’s what happens when you treat your customers with contempt.

Confused– I have wanted to try them the past two nights, drive by on the way to my house and they were closed before 6:30pm each night? Why are they closed? 2÷5÷16− driving home I told myself again, I wanted to give them a try. It’s FRIDAY at 6:45pm and they are closed!!! When is this place open? I’m starting to think they are permanently closed even though I see reviews.

Just not very good… the brisket was overly cooked and dry and the sides were bland. Wouldn’t bother going there again. The condition of the building and the way they painted it is also kind of an eyesore.

Stopped in for lunch today. The young lady said they did not have any of the lunch menu as they are normally not open on Monday. So we settled on a rib and brisket plate with collard greens and Brunswick stew as our sides. Very disappointed in the brisket as it appeared to be left over and well over cooked. It had no flavor and was tough. The ribs and two sides were pretty good. Also had no sweet tea made! What bbq joint doesn’t have sweet tea??? I was hoping for better!

Welp! It was good while it lasted. We visited this place once and had a good experience. Although they ran out of food, what we did order was good. We decided to go back today and called to ensure that they opened at 1pm like online advised. The person who answered the phone seemed unsure of when they opened. We are now at JDs Bbq for the first time & so far things are great! Good food but unfortunately bad business. Hopefully this will change.

I ordered pulled pork, collard greens and coleslaw. Everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the pulled pork, as the edges were nice and crisp and the BBQ sauce was awesome, it had a great tangy flavor. I do however, like my food hot when I get it and the only thing not hot enough on my plate was the pulled pork. I was surprised my meal didn’t come with buns, but will ask about it next time that I visit. This was a takeout order and I heated up the pulled pork nice and hot the way I like my food. As the meal was tasty, I will definitely visit again and this time will try the ribs.

We ordered some pulled pork with two sides to go(coleslaw and collard greens) We asked for the sauce on the side. The pulled pork was wet(but not in a good way) and the coleslaw tasted really sour, like it had gone bad. Not sure if we caught them on a bad day or to early in the morning(we got there at 1120AM)

The food here is excellent. They lose a star because the first three times I tried to go(all at normal, weekday meal times), they were closed despite it being within their operating business hours.

Excellent BBQ, but quite saucy and that’s OK with me. I had the rib tips and the portion was huge. My husband had the pulled pork and it was delicious as well. The sides we tried, baked beans and collard greens were just OK. The Mac and cheese was excellent. Will definitely go back.

Because of my negative review, the owner of this establishment is now harassing me on Unilocal, sending me demeaning and threatening messages. I was threatened with a lawsuit if I don’t delete my review, he’s posted comments to other reviews claiming I’m «full of s*!t», and recently sent me this message: «You are a real mother fucking ass hole You are full of shit.» Classy, no? This business is not a welcome addition to the neighborhood and should be avoided at all costs.

It’s only been a few days since my first review of Pigs N Heat, but I really wanted to go back and try the Rib tips plate. I even dragged my parents out with me this time. Now don’t tell anyone, but I didn’t bring them along for stimulating conversation, but to get more of a variety of food to try at this place! Que the BBQ review: Rib tips come with the house sauce on them and you get quite a lot. They tasted great and were tender. I am glad I tried them, but I probably wouldn’t order them again. It was too much work and too messy! It’s basically ribs chopped into 1-inch blocks of tastiness, but they are covered in sauce and difficult to handle with the plastic silverware provided so you have to use your hands, which isn’t a big deal except that you get serious BBQ sauce hands. It’s a good idea and I like that they tried something different. You don’t often see rib tips on a BBQ joint’s menu. I ordered the collard greens again and the baked beans for my sides. The collards were terrific yet again. The beans were decent, but nothing to spank your momma about(does that even make sense?). My dad ordered the half rack of ribs. He offered me a rib and I dare not refuse. The ribs were tender and also covered in the house sauce(which is an awesome sauce as I said in my first review). Ribs had a good flavor and you get a healthy portion. I really like the meat portions here. That may change over time as their food costs go up; remember they just opened about 2 months ago so they’re still figuring it out. My dad ordered the Brunswick Stew and fries for sides. The fries were the large steak fries. Bleh. Fries are fries for the most part, but I dislike the steak fries. I didn’t try the Brunswick stew myself, but if my dad eats the entire bowl of it you can rest assure it’s some darn tasty stew! It’s rare he actually finds a Brunswick stew he likes, and this one he liked. My mom ordered the pork sandwich which was quite large and tasty. She was a little turned off because she found a small bone in her meat, but that’s going to happen from time to time eating BBQ. I happily took her leftovers home to have for lunch tomorrow. Now I have to mention that I am starting to see a trend with the restaurant running out of things or just not having them ready. They did not have a few of the sodas for their soda machine and they only had sweet tea. If you’re a new restaurant trying to make a name for yourself and establish yourself in the community, you have got to remain stocked with supplies for your customers satisfaction. Running out of a soda or two for the machine is not the end of the world, but not having unsweet tea as an option is just unsatisfactory. I really don’t know if I should hope this place gets more business or not since they hardly ever have things in stock! At least I haven’t been told they’ve run out of meat yet. I will be back to try the brisket in the future to try the brisket, but I may give them a month or so to see if they’ve made some changes and learned from some mistakes. I’ll update my review at that time. I am still giving 4 stars for Pigs N heat because the food is delicious. It’s well worth a try. Just go in with an open mind and don’t be too disappointed if you’re told they’re out of coca cola or out of sweet tea or whatever. Also, I didn’t notice this during my first visit, but this place has a drive-thru window! Yes! A drive-thru window for a BBQ place… interesting.

The atmosphere is nice and casual and the food was excellent! They are generous with their portions as well, which makes for a nice meal later as well! I got the pulled pork plate and my wife got the rib tips plate. We were debating which one we loked more! The sides make a nice complement to the meal as well. Welcome to Kennesaw Pigs n Heat!

Was tired of the same ol bbq so hopped on Unilocal and saw this place. The bbq was great. I’d def recommend. They do use a lot of sauce on there pork sandwiches. Restaurant was really smokey. It def could have used some ventilation. They just recently opened and I think that was part of the issue. All around food was great tho. Had a pulled pork sandwich and fries. Friend had the brisket. Will def be back to try something else. Hope they stick around.

First time! The great: bbq sauce was yumo. Green beans, some of the best I’ve had. Ribs, wow. The good: potato salad, collards, lemon cake. Ok, maybe a few things could better next time: Was out of a few key things we were wanting… at 730 in the evening. Tables were a little unkempt. High hopes for this bbq joint. Great idea to have a very talented blues player playing, he was great! Will be back, and recommend you go too!

My review accidentally got stuck in the bad review column, but I want to correct this mistake. My family went there over the weekend and we loved this place!!! We are STILL talking about how succulent the ribs and chicken were! Kudos to you guys for great barbecue!!!

My wife and I ate here tonight. The food was great. I had the beef brisket, mac&cheese, and collards greens. My wife had the chicken, mac&cheese and collard greens. She also had the lemon pound cake. The beef brisket was tender, perfectly cooked and with just the right amount of barbecue sauce. The mac&cheese was great and the collard greens were MAGNIFICENT. The chicken was tender, moist and had the perfect amount of barbecue sauce. The lemon pound cake had to be home made because it tasted like someone’s mom put a lot of love into that cake. The service was excellent and the owners were very friend, y. We live about five minutes from this place and will be going back there real soon. I like the interior décor of the place, it really reminds you of a backwoods pit barbecue spot,

This place is brand new, you can tell they are still working out the kinks, but it is pretty darn good. I had the pulled pork plate with green beans and potato salad. My dinning companion had the pork plate with Mac and cheese and collard greens. The meat was good. The sauce was tasty. The green beans and collards were amazing! I wasn’t a fan of the potato salad, but my friend liked it so we are just going to say it isn’t the style I prefer. The only two complaints I have are the fact that their fryer was down, and the Mac & cheese. It was horrible. I can’t stress that enough. It tasted like wet cardboard. This place is cute, close by & competitively priced. We will go back. I may go by tomorrow just for the collards!
