The Melting Pot is a terrific place to dine. My husband and I have enjoyed all of our Melting Pot experiences over the past 22 years(various locAtions). We have never been disappointed. It is our«go to» place for all celebrations. Now, our children try and make«any day a special occasion», so we can go more often. We love the 4 course experience– we get the cheddar cheese app. House salad, land and sea bourguignonne style, white chocolate dessert fondue. However with so many options, you can’t go wrong. The service is as great as the food, too!!! #ILoveTheMeltingPot

We came here for our anniversary and unfortunately we were a little disappointed as we spent almost $ 100 for boiled food in a pot. Our server was great but this place was not for us.

My husband and I generally enjoy dining at The Melting Pot. We usually go for special occasions. I have to say though, this last time was THEBESTEVER! Ashley was our server. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and she really made for a very memorable experience. The manager Storm was funny as he was rather busy and stressed and forgot that he had already stopped by our table and engaged in a somewhat lengthy conversation. He even moved us to a better lit table with two burners(there were 4 of us and at first we were sat at a table with 1 burner), but later he forgot and introduced himself again! LOL! That was too funny. In any case we loved our food and the service. They have this wine and garlic seasoning too that you sprinkle on salads and meat if you wish. I have got to go back and buy a bottle. Try it!

I don’t think we would have found this place if not for our GPS. Once inside, it is quiet, the food is good and the service from Chris was excellent. We discovered that ordering the 4-course experience was too much food for us. For explanation, the 4-course menu includes one cheese fondue choice for the table, each diner chooses their own salad and entrée selection and one chocolate fondue of the table’s choice. Now this place is pricey folks. The least expensive route for the 4-course experience will run you about $ 40 – 50 per person not including drinks. Only the most basic of choices will be included in that $ 40 — $ 50 price. There are options for the cheese, the liquid to cook your food and the type of chocolate that will add to your cost. Our next visit will only include a cheese fondue and wine.

What a difference a location makes! After my bad experience at another location, I thought I would try this one more time! I am glad I did! The GM, Eddie, made it a great experience, as he was aware of my time limitations and made sure I got out in time. I will go back!

Sat 7 people at a table for 4 with 2 pots. No arm room. The forks were always entangled. 2 of one dish’s chicken was pure gristle.

Had a great time our first visit, our server Franklin was the best, he explained everything and was very attentive up until we walked out the door. Food was delicious, drinks were great, and the atmosphere was very nice as well. I can’t wait to return loved it!

The Melting Pot offers a creative and fun experience. The décor is beautiful at this Kennesaw location. This was my first time here and I looked at some information online prior to coming so I wouldn’t be confused. The menu offers a few options. It was a bit confusing at first, but ok once you get the hang of it. We chose the fondue for you option. This option allowed us to choose 3 different entrees each, a choice of salad, and a cheese and dessert fondue to share. The first course was the cheddar fondue. The server makes the fondue at the table. It was cool because you get to see the ingredients added. The server did not tell us what she was adding. This was a downfall. It is best to let customers know what’s being added in case they are allergic. Anyhow, the cheddar fondue came with two kinds of bread, Granny Smith apples, and veggies. The veggies included were celery, carrots, and tomatoes. All of the videos online had broccoli and cauliflower, which we preferred. I later asked the server is there was a certain cheese we should order to get those veggies, she advised that we could’ve requested those specific veggies… ok. The next course were the meats. Everything was delicious, we ordered salmon, duck, shrimp, filet mignon, seared tuna, and Angus beef. All meats and seafood were fresh. The mojo seasoning we chose to dip the ingredients in was perfect. The sauces offered were also a nice touch. The last course was dessert. We chose the pure milk chocolate option. This fondue was brought to the table and we had to wait a few minutes for the chocolate to heat. Dipping treats included strawberries, bananas, rice Krispy treats, brownies, pound cakes, pineapples, and marshmallows. Definitely one of the favorite courses for us. If you are visiting this restaurant be prepared to stay for 2 to 2 ½ hours. This is due to cooking times and also the time it takes for the server to tend to your table. I honestly think the server took a long time because she had multiple tables and obviously had to perform the same processes at each table. We also ordered two beverages from the bar that were mediocre. We could have saved the 17 bucks. With all of this being said, we would definitely come to the Melting Pot again. We would only choose another location to see if processes are more similar to what we saw online.

First time I have spit my food out in 10 years. Yes, you cook yourself but chicken bad. Waiter did not heat oil first. We put our food in and oil was not hot. Insanely bad. Over 100 bucks for 2. Cannot recommend to anyone. After writing review we are still stuck here. Thinking about calling the hostage rescue team. Insane

New Years was a set menu which was really good! Kids weren’t thrilled with the cheese course but we loved it! I could do just the cheese course every time! The lobster, shrimp and steak were the best. The chicken I could do without. We always do the coq au vin option. Rocky road dessert was good. The fruit is perfect. All the dessert sweet stuff is over the top sweet — brownies, rice Krispy, sponge cake. Service was good, especially for NYE. Manager checked in with us twice!

This place is so good! It was our first time here and the staff was super friendly and charming! We had Thomas P as our server and he was the best. Anthony, the manager, came by a few times and we stuffed ourselves silly on the four course meal with classic alpine cheese fondue, French quarter and pacific rim(between the two we got chicken, pork, duck, potstickers, steak, sausage, shrimp and vegetables), and ended with the white chocolate crème brûlée fondue. It was a little dark so they turned up the lighting and everyone gets a secluded corner of their own. Definitely coming back in the new year!

We have dined at the Melting Pot in Kennesaw many of time which is why when I took my 5 year old daughter on a «daddy daughter date» she wanted to get all dressed up and go to the Melting Pot! We were instantly greeted and the host(working on 11⁄15) who was very friendly and polite seated us. He playfully asked my 5 year old what her favorite color was. Well she elected to tell him she loves Pink, Purple, Yellow, and Blue. You should have seen her face when he came back with not just one of her favorite colors but all four of them. We had the pleasure of being served by Jackson! Needless to say he has been my favorite waiter at the restaurant in all of my visits. Jackson was very attentive to our needs and quickly served us without making us feel rushed. His service tempo was on point keeping the waiting in between courses to a bare minimum! Jackson was very knowledgeable and made some very good recommendations! My little girl even told me after the dinner service that our waiter was really nice. I look forward to being the wife and kids back soon and you can count we will be asking for Jackson if he is working.

I was invited here as a late birthday celebration by a couple of my friends. We didn’t have any reservations, but the place wasn’t that crowded either, only 3 of us but we were told that we had a 30 min wait. We could clearly see several empty tables while standing there, about 5 minutes after waiting in the lobby area… a table popped up(no one left, I mean where did the table come from??? LOL My guess??? It was there all the time…) So I think I was rubbed wrong from the start, but since this was a birthday gift, who was I to complain. We were seated in a large booth. The place was dark and sorta romantic. It took me a minute to figure out the menu, but once I got it, I got it. I ordered the land and sea three course meal which was steak and shrimp accompanied by a nice glass of wine. The first dish was cheese fondue, with bread and fruit for dipping, the cheese was warm and stringy. My second dish was the entrée, steak, shrimp and veggies, It felt a little funny cooking different foods in one pot like that, But it turned out ok. I don’t think our waitress was very happy with us, they wanted us to use the same broth to cook our food in, but my friend has a shrimp allergy and was afraid to put his lamb in the broth that I cooked my shrimp in. The waitress just stood there for a minute in pure confusion. LOL. Then she came out and changed the liquids(sure she charged him for the new broth, but I didn’t ask him). He chose a more spicy kind of broth than the one I ordered. His lamb was really good. My third meal was dessert, crème brûlée fondue, which was the best meal of the evening. They brought out all of the bells and whistles with this dish, fresh strawberries, cake & rice crispy treats. Even lit my dessert on fire… Nice! I probably won’t be back for dinner, but I will definitely be back for dessert. Absolute goodness!!!

Awesome place. Plenty of food and great atmosphere. I had the meat lovers and my wife and 12 yoa son split a fondue meal and still had plenty. Our meal was $ 92. I do not consider that high for something different and it beats longhorns. A must for a date or a family outing!

I have been to many Melting Pots and this is a really nice one. Very clean, nice atmosphere. They keep it dark which creates a more intimate feel in the booths. It would be a very nice place to take a date, even just for dessert. If you have never been to a fondue place, try it! It’s a lot of fun. You can pick how ever many courses you want, but for the full experience, get all four! You start out with the cheese fondue, there are lots to pick from, then the salad. My favorite is the California –so good. Next comes the meats and veggies, you choose your own cooking style and finally dessert. You get to pick the chocolate that you want and they give you the dippers — fruit, cheesecake, brownies, etc. You can always ask for extra dippers if you want them for both the cheese and the dessert. They have an extensive wine menu, you can also pick 5 or 8 ounces or buy the whole bottle which is nice. They also offer packages for birthdays, etc. This is a place I like to come to for a special occasion or a fun night out – not a once a week place. It can get expensive and even though I’ve been many times, I still get confused by the menu and the pricing. Sign up for the club fondue for emails about the specials. They have fun events. I have been to the Halloween one for a girls night out. Lots of fun!

Like most negative reviews, this is a difficult review to give. The Melting Pot is the kind of place that I want to love. They have excellent service at this Kennesaw location and the atmosphere of the dining room is intimate and calming, perfect for a quiet dinner for two. The reason for my low two star rating, therefore, is related to both the quality and the quantity of food in relation to the outrageous prices. The Melting Pot exhibits everything that is wrong with corporate run restaurants and is largely a reason for why we don’t generally go to such places anymore. Our last meal at Melting Pot, while not horrible, left us feeling a bit lacking. We opted for their four course dinner for two and a bottle of wine. Dinner was $ 35.95 per person(without the wine) and yet I personally couldn’t figure out what I was paying for. The first course which was cheese fondue involved a modest amount of melted cheese with wine and garlic along with some bread and vegetables to dip into it. It was good. Not $ 18 good(as per the a la carte price), but a very acceptable ‘good’. The second course was a simple, but tasty salad. The third was the primary course where we were each given an extremely small plate of a few slices of meat, pastas, and vegetables(see my pictures) to put in what was basically a bland chicken stock. The last course was dessert, which consisted of melted chocolate with various fruits and cakes for dipping. Good, but once again, not anywhere near as good as the price would suggest. Here’s the thing… We understand fondue. We know that the experience of it includes cooking it yourself at the table. We get all that, but why, when you are doing most of the work yourself, are we paying $ 35-$ 45 a person for that«privilege?» Certainly, the pre-prepared food is where the magic happens, or rather SHOULD happen, but alas, no. This is not true. The food was nothing more remarkable than anything else that anyone could slice up at home and boil in a pot of Campbell’s canned chicken stock. Just add a little wine and garlic and you’d be good to go. A restaurant of this price caliber should offer a culinary experience that is difficult or unlikely to happen at home, even for an experienced cook. But all I received out of my two Melting Pot occasions is nothing that even remotely comes close to justifying a $ 125 dinner for two(with gratuity). There are at least twenty other places in Atlanta that would have been so much better, perhaps even for so much less. When it comes to the Melting Pot our advice is to give this one a pass until their corporate office learns the lesson(perhaps the difficult way) that a $ 35-$ 45 per person dining experience requires exceptional quality(and preferably quantity as well). Don’t try to capitalize on the perceived novelty of fondue dining when you cannot deliver a product that matches the ostentatious vibe you are trying to sneak in there. This doesn’t have to be a $ 100 dinner. Lower your prices to match what your menu actually offers your patrons’ palates and then maybe you’ll be able to fill all of those empty tables(yes, we had the entire restaurant to ourselves, no surprise there) with patrons that can make up the difference in your bottom line.
