As a rule I don’t review many Pizza places because most are just mediocre in my opinion. Clearly Maddios is an exception to that rule. It’s a comfortable restaurant with tables and booths and a fresh clean interior. Friendly employees and fast service add to the mix. It was 10 minutes to order, pay and walk out the door with a pizza under my arm. The big reason to try this place is the fantastic crust combined with a huge selection of toppings instead of the garden variety of basic items. You can build your own pizza by selecting choices which are clearly displayed as your pizza is being built.(sort of like Subway) Not only is the variety large but the ingredients are top notch. Real sausage, sautéed items such as onions, mushrooms and peppers. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the pizza. $ 20 with get you several delicious choices of large 16″ pizzas.

Nothing special — at least in comparison to competitors like Your Pie and Blaze. A 9-inch pizza is $ 7.99 with 3 included toppings. Your Pie and Blaze gives you unlimited veggie toppings for the same price — and Your Pie has far more toppings. I got the Build-Your-Own here with 5 veggie toppings -(I had to pay an extra 50 cents per for the extra two toppings). The pizza itself was okay, comparable to the quality of Your Pie. However, for the price and quality, I’d much rather grab a pie at Your Pie. I will not be returning. This location was clean and the service was decent. I just prefer the competition.

Love this spot for a quick, affordable bite to eat. Personal pizza made to order in about 5-mins? Yup. Awesome, friendly service? You bet. Ralph is as good of a front man as your gonna find at any pizza joint, near or far! Highly recommend!

Party of six. We tried the Santa Fe salad and four make your own pizzas. Staff was friendly, accommodating and very helpful. Salad was a bit spicier than I had expected(for those that don’t like spicy). But tasted great! I personally felt the salads were a bit pricey, however. All food was very fresh! It’s a nice change of pace in comparison to a regular pizza place.

I had the BBQ chicken pizza, boyfriend had the steak and blue. The place is extremely clean(erg important to me) & everyone is really friendly. My only beef was that the pizzas barely have any meat. It’s BBQ but not quite BBQ ‘chicken’, collectively it probably had an ounce or so. I like a meaty pizza

Best gluten free pizza I’ve had. Pretty awesome stuff. Great service and great place to eat. Ask for your pizza«crispy» and it comes out sizzling! You will love it.

Solid lunch spot in an area with numerous good places to eat lunch. The individual sized pizzas are satisfying and filling without being too large for most people. Their traditional crust is of the thin(ish) variety, which I normally prefer. Decent char on the bottom. You can obviously tailor your pizza a zillion ways — I tend towards minimalism, which is why I like margherita pizzas so much. At Maddio’s, I chose tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, basil and mushrooms. What I got was that pizza but with diced tomatoes instead of mushrooms. This speaks to the somewhat awkward ordering procedure whereby you essentially talk across a barrier to the pizza person detailing your order, much like a burrito joint(Chilitos, Chipotle). Given the huge number of possible pizza variations, I wonder if errors are common, as happened with my order. In any case, the pizza was good even if I would have liked some mushrooms. Greek salad is fairly standard fare but also fairly large for a side salad. Comes on a plate but might be better served in a shallow, wide bowl for containment. Nice enough interior but frickin’ cold in the winter. Turn on the heat! It’s annoying how the pizza minions have to shout out greetings to everyone who walks in. That’s why I don’t go to Moe’s. Really, that’s why. It’s not as bad here, but please stop it.

Stopped in on the way to do some shopping at the mall for the first time. I was greeted but then the staff just stood and stared while we looked at the menu. Would have been nice if they acknowledge us and our puzzled look on our faces. We ordered and given our number then told to go down to the register which was a little confusing. I told the guy who gave us our order we wanted 2 drinks and he just told me to tell the cashier slightly rude. The food however was great. It was its saving grace. It took no time to receive the pizza and it was delicious. A worker then decided to change light bulbs in the dining room. He stood on the table next us and changed one light and then pulled out a ladder to change one above us. I think this should be done before the place opens. I will go back but maybe to another location with a staff that is better at customer service.

Really good gluten free crust. We were driving south on 75 and needed a quick stop for a gluten free dinner. Very yummy! We had pizza and a Greek salad. The pizza was the best gf crust I’ve had in a long time. The salad was fresh and yummy! It was a good choice!

I’m giving it 5 stars for a pizza place(not comparing it to the Ritz). This may have been the best pizza I ever had. It was delivered very hot in a timely manner.

I like Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint! it was so fun watching my pizza being made… I told him what toppings and right before me… wallah!!! Lol Drove out this way for lunch one Friday afternoon, and decided to finally try the spot, they had a nice little after lunch crowd moving through. I decided to order the 9 inch individual pizza… I asked pepperoni, mushrooms and black olives w/extra cheese. It was really cool being able to watch the entire process. So I guess you can consider it being almost like homemade pizza… It seemed very simple. The pizza was really good, the ingredients seem very fresh, the restaurant was very clean, cashier was also really cool and informative. The prices were reasonable, I received the 9 inch pizza and a large beverage for about $ 10, not bad huh? My only complaint was the person that made my pizza, he was playing and fiddling around with another person while making my pizza, very little eye contact, but a lot of laughing and giggling… I’m not a stiff, but I did not like that at all. I will definitely check this place out again!!!

I am not a fan of pizza but this place is pretty good. I can make my own pizza kinda like Subway and pick only the ingredients I want.

Make your own pizza! Kramer from Sienfeld was right! This is a super fun place. It’s like a Moe’s for pizza. Very cool toppings, and a lot to choose from. I love the bbq chicken pizza. You can create your own or you can also go with their speciality menu pizzas. They also have made to order salads. UM is good for friends who can’t agree on a pizza, so everybody can get there own, including your gluten free and vegetarian friends!

Decent lunch specials. Pizza was ok, wish that the wear crust would have been tastier. Nothing special. Oh wait, their chocolate chip cookies were amazing!

If you are looking for fluffy bready pizza, with canny tasting sauce this is definitely not the place for you. The bread is flat and thin, but very tasty. I was pleasantly surprised. I had a 6′ pizza with a greek salad and it was very fresh. Even the salad dressing was homeade. Its nice to get to pick and see everything that goes on your pizza before it goes into the oven. I also didn’t know they had beer in which a nice pint of sweet water 420 was only $ 2. I went for it and even had a cannoli which i enjoyed as well. Great little place. Will definitely be back.

3.5 stars. Kind of a Subway for pizza. Start at the beginning of the production line. Select your crust. Select your sauce. Select your toppings. The staff puts your pizza in the oven. Move on down the line. Select a salad and a drink, finishing at the cash register at the end of the line. After payment you get a number and your order is brought to your table when ready. Pizza is quick and good, and it’s personalized to exactly your preference. Tasty, too. Good sweet tea. Free wifi. Several TVs placed around the restaurant typically are showing a game or two. One negative: The ambient music can be a little loud, though it is an eclectic, decent mix.

I’ve read the reviews for the location on N. Druid Hills, the constant comparison to Moe’s(as if this is a bad thing?), the disparaging remarks regarding lack of wood fired oven, the conveyor belt of pizza doom, blah, blah, but I have to say(yes, I DO!), that I love Uncle Maddio’s Pizza! The workmates and I went for a group lunch last week, just to check it out(per my suggestion, as I had read they have Daiya vegan cheese and grilled tofu, amongst other vegan options), and I fell in love with the red sauce, which tastes of fresh crushed tomatoes and basil, the freshly grilled tofu, and the wheat crust. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. I had the«made to order»(in a line right in front of me) pizza with my choices of the tofu, portobellos, black olives and sun dried tomatoes, and after visiting the Facebook page to get a coupon for a FREE9 inch pizza I went back today for lunch, ordering much the same. I stuck to three toppings this time, just the grilled tofu, portobellos and black olives, and the Daiya vegan cheese, natch, and it was just as good as last time. Consistent, flavorful, and to my knowledge, completely vegan(I seriously hope so!). What’s not to love? Yes, there are salads(but who cares?), and panini(and one of the workmates last week, an Italian, proclaimed the eggplant parmigiano panino to be sub-par at best [note she is with child, and it’s possible her hormones are affecting her taste buds]), and maybe soft drinks, beer, could be desserts, but don’t ask me, I’m there for the pizza! I will go back, and have no problem paying the regular price of $ 6.99 for the 9 inch. Uncle Maddio’s has a new fan in me. Edited to add, straight from Uncle Maddio’s: «Full list of vegan items: Wheat Dough, Gluten Free Dough, Daiya Vegan Cheese, All Fresh Vegetables, Grilled Tofu, Tomato Basil Pizza Sauce, Garlic Infused Oil, Buffalo Sauce, BBQ Sauce, Black Bean Corn Salsa, Almonds, Walnuts, Grapes, Fresh Herbs, Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing, Raspberry Vinaigrette Dressing, Panini Bread, Greek Dressing. Ciao!»
