There is not a lot I can say about Wal-Mart, I really really hate going and will do just about anything to avoid making the trip. I did find a great deal on a pie that was originally $ 9 on sale for $ 4 and I picked up some dog toys on the cheap. This is a pretty typical Wal-Mart but I was unlucky enough to come when the store was absolutely packed which only compounded the level of unpleasantness that comes with a Wal-Mart visit. That being said, despite being packed parking was not bad compared to the Walmart across from the Chevy dealer on the corner of Hwy 41 and Hwy 92. Also it’s worth noting that this location has been recently renovated while one across from the Chevy dealer has not. Overall this a decent Wal-Mart, it is significantly cleaner than the ones I am used to in Louisiana. I recommend this location if you are in the area and need to get something(because they carry just about everything) on the cheap.

Moneycenter kiosk works but there is not money orders in it. Would it kill them to stock the damn thing with money orders? Don’t they want my 70 cents?

I hate to say it but this Walmart has really went downhill. I moved into the area in 2000, just before this Walmart opened up. Then shortly after some Walmart executive had the idea of cutting the store in half and there was a rumor that the other half of the store was going to be a movie theatre. I thought to myself — what a STUPID idea. And of course, with a store cut in half, much of the time I have to go to the Walmart up the street near 92 to get what I need. There selection is really bad, and store associates ignore and avoid customers. Shortly after this store opened it was the #1 Walmart store in the US — however because of a stupid decision to cut the store in half and degrading customer service of the years this store ONLY convenient to get to. I think they should flip flop the 92 store and send this one 41 — at least then I would have a better selection!!!

Just when I thought this store could not get worse, then it did. Had the misfortune today of dealing with customer no service manager Chelyn. What an arrogant rude woman! She argued with me for over 20 minutes about 26 cents. I even took her to the apples and showed her how the price was marked. She refused to admit her error but did finally refund my 26 cents, without any apology. She is also wearing a military veterans ID tag under her Walmart name tag, and when I asked her what service she had served in, she readily admitted she had never served in the U.S. military but that her husband served in the Air Force. That makes her a case of Stolen Valor. What a terrible rude woman! From now on, I will shop the ALDI across the street.

Let’s start it off right for this newly renovated location. This walmart has reopened with a grocery store, money center, Pharmacy, photo lab, as well as their usual huge supply of all other items. The store is clean, nicely organized and well lit. I found the 3 staff members I encountered to be consistently helpful & friendly. I don’t love going to Walmart, but if I have to I will come to this one!
