I went here yesterday with my colleagues for my first-ever experience playing disc-golf. I have to say, everything about me throwing frisbees can be described as hit or miss both literally and figuratively speaking. We encountered some disc golf regulars that helped us get started. We had some problems finding the next tees but spent maybe no more than 15min running around in the woods. The tees are concrete rectangles on the ground. One thing that might have hindered our experience if only a little bit was the simple fact that they’ve very recently redone the course layout. So, some of the tee offs and fairway setups were a bit confusing. When it’s all done with the appropriate signage, I’m sure it’ll be a blast. I honestly am interested to go out and do some physical activity at once. I’ll have to brush up on my disc golf rules and terminology in the mean time. (5 teams of 2 people managed to play a full 18 holes in under 2.5 hours, this includes running around time of getting lost, with an assumed par of 3 – 5 on each hole) The park overall is pretty beautiful. It’s a nice mix of large open fields, wooded areas, dirt trails and gravel paths. I noticed at least two picnic areas as well. The park seemed well-kept and there was a reasonable amount of public parking available as well.
