Chef-a-Topia

We decided to use Chef-​a-​Topia for our Thanksgiving dinner this year.
Although pricey at $ 89.00 for a fried cajun turkey, gravy, cranberries, plus 3 sides, the menu looked wonderful. Unfortunately, we were all very disappointed in the quality of the food. The instructions were not included in the bag when I picked up the dinner. I had to call to get the instructions. The turkey was wrapped in foil which leaked and the sides were in flimsy paper containers which became very soggy. The instructions only included how to reheat the turkey. After following the
reheating instructions, it was realized that the turkey would be very dry if it was heated through. After uncovering the foil per instructions, it was apparent that part of the turkey was burned prior to it being reheated. The turkey was extremely dry. The stuffing was very mushy and salty. The brussel sprouts (tiny serving) were raw and needed to be cooked. The cranberry sauce (½ cup) was out of a can, and the gravy did not taste homemade either. The mac and cheese although very bland was the best part of the dinner.

This place is a true gem! Nestled back in the Market at Liberty Place in Kennett Square, they make some amazing take out dishes. This is some 5 star gourmet options for meals at great prices. My wife brought home steak dinners the other night that were awesome — just heat em up and serve at home.
They also have this really awesome noodle bar. I had noodle bowl with a wide variety of veggies and chicken. The chef will ask you your preferred spice level (i asked for a 4 out of 5) and boy did it have some kick! The noodle bowl also costed a little over $ 5. This was a steal. I’ve actually been thinking about going back and telling the Chef he needs to charge more, the food is just that good.
So, don’t take it from me, go down to the marketplace and check out the meals. You can also purchase a bottle of Paradocx Vineyard’s wine as their location neighbors Chef-​A-​Topia. (yeah and Chef has paired wine suggestions for each of his meals too!).
