First time here. Walked in and asked if they had ANY donut holes left, I was told there was none. Another person came in seconds later and asked the other employee the same question. Low and behold, miraculously there was 4 donut holes left. I would have been completely happy with 4. She said«I thought you wanted a dozen». Again, I asked for any, not a dozen, never even mentioned wanting a dozen. I just didn’t appreciate coming in as a paying customer and being lied to about what I had asked for. I am happy with their quality of their donuts however, very fresh tasting.

Hands down the best doughnut shop in Kennewick. Always come here when it’s a doughnut type of morning. But be sure to get there early, once they are sold out, that’s it! Only maple bar I’ll ever eat! Just the right icing to doughnut ratio. Dough is made perfectly, and not too dense.

Bacon Maple Bar. I’ve never had a better donut anywhere. I’d walk a mile for this one, uphill in the snow, both directions. Located in strip mall across Union from HAPO.

Went this morning around 8:30am and the place was packed with people enjoying their donuts and coffee. The French crueller and custard filled were so delicious and fresh! A bit pricey for my budget, but so worth it considering I have lived in the Tri-Cities for 7 years and have not found a great bakery for donuts til now. Will be back for more.

These are the best donuts we’ve found in our 8 years here in Tri-Cities. Great traditional donut shop feel, and they are one of the rare places that still makes their donuts over night and in the wee hours of the morning instead of making them the day before. It makes a HUGE difference.

I don’t know if I went on an off day or what, but both my boyfriend and I agreed these donuts no where near live up to the hype of these Unilocal reviews. The apple fritter I tried was so greasy it was pretty much inedible, as were most of the others we picked out. Maybe we’ll try it again some time but this time I was sorely disappointed.

Today is Sunday, I desperately needed donuts and this place was my last hope. As I was walking in, the store was closed but the sign said they will open at 5 pm. Right now it’s 5:36 and it’s still closed. SMH

Maple bars are the best! Come early to get the freshest doughnuts you will ever taste in your life. The price is good for the quality. Vanara is the best. Very nice people. Customer service is awesome.

Great maple bars, reasonable prices. Haven’t tried anything else because the maple bars are so good.

It’s actually true… they make one batch in the morning and when they’re gone they’re gone. Stopped in at 1pm to find very little selection and left without buying anything. That’s just a dumb business model. They are open ’till 6pm so what the heck are they selling?

This place looked a little shabby driving up to it but the donuts were worth it. We showed up around ten am so they were sold out of quite a few go tos(maple bars, lemon filled donuts, etc) but we were pleasantly surprised by the freshness and cost of the donuts. Definitely a gem in the Tri Cities.

I visited this place for the first time this morning and I have to say. While the place doesn’t look super fancy, they definitely know how to make a good doughnut at a good price. They were nice and moist without being doughy. Sweet but not too sweet. The customer service was quick and efficient. Just the way I like it. Well done!!!

Fantastic doughnuts, good prices, friendly staff. Conveniently located in a little strip mall with private parking, Popular Doughnuts is easy to stop at on the go. Fast service, but the only downside is that their hours are not always accurate. Definitely recommended!

This is the best donut place we have found in the tri-cities area. We drive over from Richland every couple of months on a Sunday for breakfast. The donuts are better than grocery store purchases and we have never been fans of the Spudnut shop in Richland. There is a good variety and they are fresh tasting. We usually get a dozen donut holes with our regular order which seem to never make it all the way home. They also have a ham and cheese croissant which I usually add to the donut order for myself. It is a little sparse on ham but nice when I don’t want sweets. We are not fans of the Mexican bakery offerings in our area, which seem to be the newer businesses created, but have tried a few over the years and still end up back at Popular. It would be nice if we had a Dunkin or a Shipley or a Winchell’s in our area for a baseline comparison, but from memory of all those I would say Popular is at least close in quality.

Nice little shop. Very clean. Service was great. Thumbs up for not charging to use credit/debit($ 3 min order though). Unfortunately the quality just wasn’t there. The chocolate old fashion tasted very bitter. The apple fritter was good but the smallest fritter ever. Maple bars were ok. Don’t think I’ll be back again.

This doughnut shop is across from Hapo in a very small and almost deserted strip mall. I go in on Sunday’s every now and then and usually there are no customers or one at the most. The doughnuts are always fresh and they are made in the traditional way. These beat the doughnuts that Winco, Fred Meyer, & Safeway make. The chocolate ones are the glaze type not frosting so they are great! The people are very nice and I appreciate the friendly service. They have a decent selection although if you arrive after a «rush» you could be left with minimal options. Also a bonus they have a retro Neo-Geo arcade machine inside now! :) Keep up the great work!

I saw this hole-in-the-wall in a strip mall near my mother-in-law’s house after visiting her this past weekend. I couldn’t resist and pulled in. My litmus test for how good is a donut shop are the devils-food cake doughnuts. They had one left and I bought it. I noticed several other doughnuts, apple fritters and huuuge cinnamon rolls. The had a humongous fridge packed with a whole range of beverages, including milk. Otherwise, interior is very spartan with maybe three tables. So the devils-food donut… it was large, moist and delicious. Me did like!
