Nice place to go if your a millionare and don’t mind being watched the whole time! Very rude would never go back again !!!

Rude staff. They only allow 5 rounds in handguns and only 1 in rifles. RO was standing right behind us the whole time counting our rounds. find a better place.

This place is too expensive and very anti-​second amendment

My review is in reference to the pistol/​rifle range at CCKC and was also shared on the CCKC Unilocal page.
I’ve visited this range on several occasions and unfortunately, I’ve never had a good experience here. My most recent trip to the range was the final straw and I will never return as a result.
I’ll start with the staff/​range officers. As you can guess, this isn’t going to get off to a great start. They are honestly just a bunch of crabby older men that act like their customers are bothering them whenever they have to process a transaction. I’ve witness several range officers screaming at customers after they followed the explicit instructions of another range officer. To say there is zero communication between employees is an understatement. I’m not sure even the range officers know the actual range rules.
On my last trip here, a customer asked a range officer to put up a new target towards the end of a shooting break. The range officer allowed the customer to go down range then almost immediately walked over to range control office and told the controllers that the range was clear and shooting could begin. The controllers actually opened up the range to live fire with a man down-​range! Thankfully several other patrons who were actually paying attention to what was going on went running and screaming to the control office and told the employees to close the range. I’m not even sure how to adequately describe that level of carelessness and I’ll never visit this range as a result of that incident.
The facilities themselves are adequate, nothing inherently wrong or great about them. The range itself does get fairly muddy after a rain due to the lack of adequate drainage however.
Annoying, you’re only allowed to have one round in a centerfire rifle at a time. This range is anti-​CCW as well. Honestly, spend your money elsewhere. The largely confused, careless and unprofessional staff are enough to send any responsible firearm owner running. One visit and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.

Came here my first time shooting and overall a great experience. They could see I was inexperienced and they helped and told me how to improve my shooting.

This range is all about safety, and there is nothing wrong with that when you are dealing with loaded guns. I find the range officers to be informative and helpful. My son had a jamb, the RO came over to clear, and went on to give him some shooting tips. I put my gun down and listened. I recently was stopped by an RO for going out to hang targets too soon. I heard both ranges were clear and started out. After going out I wanted to find the RO to apologize and thank him for his safety first follow the rules to the letter, however I could not find him, so I hope he reads these posts. Great range.

I like the fact the range is outside, with a good overhead. During the winter months, for the pistol area, they enclose it so your not in the direct elements. I also like the various ranges they have here, Pistol, Rifle, Archery, Shotgun, along with several event fields. I’ve yet to use the shotgun (skeet/​trap) but I did stop by there and checked out the set up and found it very adequate.
If you run out or completely forgot your ammo, they do sell it here and I found the prices reasonable… or at least didn’t notice a huge gouge in pricing. You can pick up targets here too and they are cheap. I do find it a bit funny that on the web page they state you can «note» use a target with a human form, yet that is what they mainly sell???
The membership fee is on par with other places, but do find the non-​membership a bit pricy, although toss in that you can be there for longer than an hour for the initial fee then it’s really worth it, assuming you do stay longer than an hour. You can bring friends/​family and being this is in Wisconsin, no worries about a FOID card.
While shooting I think they do a good job in policing safety. They do 20 minute rounds… 20 min of shooting and 20 min of setting up targets. At first I though the 20 min of setting up was a bit long, but over time I’ve gotten to like this as it gives you time to shoot the breeze with other like minded people. You certainly meet a wide spectrum of people here and I like the ones who bring vintage guns and tell you all about the background of their particular gun.
For me the only down side is the number of rounds you can have. For clip fed handguns it’s only five rounds. For high caliber (i think anything over a .22) rifles, only one shot at a time… a total bummer when you have a ²⁰⁄₃₀ round mag. Okay, I completely agree with not going the spray as fast as you can, but a single round at a time… come on guys, that does take the fun of out it.
In the end, I like coming here. I like the rustic, open feel and opportunity in meeting new people.

This is a potentially great range. Sadly this FIRING range is against our 2^nd amendment, you cannot carry there. At a firing range. Get it?
Safety is vital but when it’s taken to the extreme it can get to be too much. God forbid you double tap or anything. This range is nearby and in my opinion is against everything those of us who carry stand for. The way this range is setup with it’s idiotic rules is the only learning you can do is how to hit your target. And remember don’t hit it too many times in a row.
We need more ranges in Kenosha county that are actually pro 2^nd amendment and respect others who do carry.

The Bristol Shooting ranges resemble a national park more than a firing locale.
Shooting here is like filling American’s best idea with hot fire.
Parking was adequate.

If you like to shoot trap or skeet, check this place out. It is very low-​key without the over-​the-​top vibe of aggressive business people who only go there in hopes of networking out that next deal. Another big plus (at least for me) is if you’re a woman who likes to shoot, no one treats you like the slightly retarded second cousin at Thanksgiving dinner. No one comes off like a scary right-​wing gun nut (although I haven’t been to the rifle range on the other side of the road…) and no one will bat an eye if you are a hipster-​in-​black (me) or even a goth (my son). There are a number of guys who have been engaging in the sport for many, many years and will gladly share their knowledge and expertise with both newbies and folks like me who have been away from the sport since the 70’s. Facilities are pretty new. Shotgun range clubhouse has a feel like sitting around in somebody’s garage or basement except everyone is delightfully sober. People seem to be not just tolerant but genuinely interested in interacting with people who are culturally different than they are. Busting up moving clay targets is highly addictive and this is a great place to indulge your addiction.

The Bristol Shooting Ranges are part of the Conservation Club of Kenosha County. I’m part of a self-​defense group at my university and, following a recommendation from one of the instructors, took a firearm safety course. At Bristol Shooting Ranges, I took an NRA certified pistol course and learned a lot. I also met some great people and had a blast! (No pun intended). You will learn all about pistol safety and handling, as well as shoot 3 different calibers (.22, 9 MM, .38) and try out a number of pistols at the range. Highly recommend! Ask for a discount as prices can get fairly high.
