Though I went for first time at their last game, 1st game of World Series; I can readily recommend attending. Tickets are reasonable, though maybe scarce if during regular season there is a large corporate buy. The team is good– 2nd best record. You sit close to action, almost had a foul. Simmons Field remodel was nicely done; seats were reclaimed from Camden Yards. Concessions are varied and affordable. Lots of beers. Lots of between innings activities, especially for kids. A nice evening.

DONOT do the«Fish Bowl»!!! You pay 3x as much as a regular ticket. It is all the food, soda, and beer that you can eat/drink. Food is not good. They sell more tickets than places to sit, and it’s all picnic tables, so people in the back can’t see over all the people in the front. What a waste of money. VERY disappointed.

Family friendly entertainment that’s still good for us non-kid havers in a historic ballpark with cheap tickets, great food options and not your run of the mill in-game entertainment — I’m in! The Kingfish are the newest addition to the Northwoods League and they play at historic Simmons Field. Parking is free at various lots up and down Sheridan. Tickets are cheap and options are plentiful(standard admission, admission plus a hat, two or three different AYCE/drink options). Having been to more than my share of minor/low league baseball games, the dizzy bats and sack race between-inning contests can get boring, but the Kingfish are having none of that. Unique, actually entertaining silliness keeps you giggling. Explore the stadium and check out the various plaques noting the history — the Kingfish put over $ 1 million into renovations to use the facility and did a great job of keeping both the charm and the modern updates you’d want to be comfortable. Elvis, the mascot, ziplines in from the outfield to deliver the first pitch. There’s an actual boat built into the outfield wall. Do yourself a favor and take the 45 minute drive. Totally worth it.

I went to my first Kenosha Kingfish game and it was a blast. This is definitely a positive addition to the Kenosha entertainment scene. Since it was only their 4th home game of the season, I expected some quirks and things to still be getting settled, but it wasn’t bad at all. First and foremost, everyone at the park was EXTREMELY friendly. I must have heard«thank you for coming» at least a dozen times. The park offered several seating options, and tickets were very cheap. There were several food options(typical ballpark fare) and even several activities for kids in the way of a bounce house, and other games. As for the game itself, it was extremely entertaining. Not only the players, but the between inning contests that kept everyone watching, there was never a dull moment.
