I’m blowing the horn for the Kenosha Electric Railway. These folks started off with five PCC streetcars from Toronto, Canada. They then painted them according to the color scheme of five transportation agencies: Toronto, Johnstown, Chicago, Cincinnnati, and Pittsburgh. These PCC cars look GREAT, the people here are doing a fine job keeping them running. If you are a die hard railfan, then visit the storage shed and maintenance bldg and see the magic needed to keep the cars looking good and working. The guy there was kind enough to take time from his lunch just ot show me around and explain his passion. He has a really interesting set-up which gives one an idea of what goes on when an engineer operates a PCC streetcar controller. I was so thrilled.
