The original and the best since the early ‘80s. The greatest local brick and mortar shop in the Midwest. Friendly staff. Great selection. A shop that backs up what they sell and will be their for us when we need to be taken care of. Support these guys and not some bullshit internet store in a warehouse in L.A. These guys are the best.

Ralph has always been a pleasure to work with and gone out of his way to accommodate my families needs. The staff on the bike side is friendly and knowledgeable. Support your local business! Prices are reasonable and service is fantastic.

They’re not exactly the best. Always willing to help out, but their knowledge of racing/touring is low. My friend bough some shoes from them and they didn’t know how to clip-in to the pedal. They had to call their boss over to explain. Not too bad in price. But online is cheaper. So, when I told them I bought my clip-in pedals on Amazon, one of the employees made a snide remark, ‘If you keep ordering online, you won’t have a place to try on shoes.‘ Ironically, they didn’t have any shoes in my size. I went to Racine Cyclery and bought the least expensive pair. $ 20 dollars more expensive, but at least they were in stock. Overall, ‘eh.’ Racine Cyclery is snobbier and more expensive, but at least they know their way around a road bike. And I’ve never had a snide remark from RC.

Great customer service when I purchased an item. It was cheaper here, and this place appreciated my business even tho it was a small purchase.

I was in the Kenosha area for the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon. As my friend and I unloaded our bikes from the trunk, we realized that my front tire had been unceremoniously left on a Chicago street. Whoops. Southport Rigging was doing bike inspections for the triathletes. I went up to their tent(that they were closing down, by the way) and pleaded my pathetic case. They said the shop was closed. However, one of the guys said he would go back and open it up and have a bike wheel for me at 4:30AM the next morning. And he did. I couldn’t believe it. He kinda made me fall in love with him. Just a little bit.

I have only dealt with the bike side of the house, but their bike staff has been tremendously helpful to me. I was in last weekend, and someone asked if they rent bikes and was told no. So if that is what you are looking for, call first.
