Wonderful authentic Mexican food. My friends cannot get enough of the whole fried tilapia. It’s crispy and golden brown every time and is an excellent sized portion. I love their Beef with lots of onions, I think it is Lomo Encebellado in the Mexican Specialties section. It is so flavorful and satisfying! Some of the best refried beans I have ever had and their Horchata is perfection. This is a regular in our rotation of restaurants and we look forward to our next visit!

We ate here based on all the good reviews, but we were really unimpressed. The carne asade tacos were good, but the chile relleno was nothing special. In fact it was the worst one I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot. I usually love chile rellenos, but the pepper and cheese flavor was masked by the overwhelming salsa flavor. I have never been served a chile relleno covered in salsa before. This was unexpected and not in a good way. On that note, my sons cheese enchilada was also served with salsa on top. I do not understand this. We order cheese enchiladas and chili rellenos almost every we eat Mexican and we have never seen such overuse of salsa. This might be the best Mexican place in Kenosha, but if you have ever had real Mexican food anywhere else, you’ll be sorely disappointed. If you do go I would advise ordering the Carne Asade tacos… that is one thing they know how to make right.

Easily the best Mexican food in Kenosha! Always very clean and friendly. Also, the prices are great. You can walk out of there full for less than $ 10. Tacos El Pastore is where it’s at. Thinking of going there today! Highly underrated in the city of Kenosha. People are sleeping on this place. PS-You’re near Big Lots, so where else would you need to go!?!

Let me preface this by saying I always order the Carne Asada Tacos. I have not tried anything else. But these Carne Asada Tacos are the best authentic-style tacos in the area. The service staff is friendly, the place is clean and it seems to be a well-managed establishment. Smart prices and great food make for the perfect match. I enjoy my visits to Tacos El Norte.

It isn’t that nice from the outside, but inside the food is great. Service is excellent and the place is clean. I recommend the steak burrito and ask to add in Guacamole. The Green sauce on the table is great over a dry burrito.

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in town. Great food, excellent service, and low prices. What more could you want? Their menu is your typical more authentic Mexican menu. I would highly rec commend the bistec ranchero.

Favorite taco place, only order taco dinners here because they are amazing, good salsa homemade not from a can, fresh chips, good horchata and cheap prices I go here often

DELICIOUS, low prices, very friendly staff, very clean restaurant/tables atmosphere — what’s not to love. I tried the al pastor taco, chicken taco, and a carnitas gordita(the best, a must try). Really impressed by this place and will come back again and again — great job!

My rating is based on quality of food and service. Ambiance leaves a little to be desired. One of the first things you’ll notice when you walk into Tacos El Norte is that most of the customers appear to be of Mexican descent. That to me speaks volumes for this place. The food here is phenomenal. Some of the best Mexican I’ve ever had. Give it a shot if you’re in the area and as long as you’re mostly in it for the food you’ll love it.

Very good, authentic Mexican cuisine. Quality is excellent. The service has always been very polite, courteous and speedy. I’ve been a customer for years — NEVEREVER had bad meal. Usually do «take-out» for lunch and dine-in for dinner. Couple of my favorfites are the steak burrito and the pozole! I’ve tried a few other Mexican restaurants in town — they’re not necessarily«bad»(although a few are) — but they haven’t been worth a repeat visit, in my book. The only«marginally» negative thing I could say is not that it’s not the best location(strip mall in a slightly sketchy area of town) — but I’ll admit I’ve never experienced a problem while dining there.

These other reviews are just silly. This IS and has ALWAYS been my favorite mexican restaurant in Kenosha. The first time I went, my friend Javier took me, back in 2006. It was amazing then, and this past month ago(2011) it’s still amazing. I try to go at least once, every time I’m in town. The server this past time was stupendously personable and nice. He brought out every kind of hot sauce and salsa they had for us to indulge in. So, if you like spice, ask for the super spicy sauce. Yum! And the portions and quality have never wavered. Their burritos are the size of a small child! Jokes!- but they are huge. They’re margaritas are pretty darn delicious, as well. Oh– and check out the sweet jukebox! Thank you, Tacos El Norte. Don’t ever change, ’cause you’re Perfecto!

I first walked into this restaurants about eight years ago. «The décor has been improved since then.» I sat down and was served. I ordered a chicken enchilada. The serving was generous and was accompanied by Spanish Rice and re-fried beans. Upon leaving the restaurant, I was both very pleased with the food and the service. I have been frequenting the place on a bi weekly basis ever since.

Eh, its pretty okay. I go here once in a while, but not out of my way to eat here. Although, once a costumer tried selling me a leather jacket for $ 10. That was funny and I don’t know if it helps or hurts this places case, especially since the leather jacket I was wearing at the time is much nicer and less crinkled.
