This place is a rip off! I purchased a Unilocal deal for $ 50 for $ 100 worth of service. Used it once. Called for three weeks to get in on a Monday evening to take advantage of the cheaper $ 10 deal and was told each time the person there wasn’t trained. Finally had some time early in the morning and Josie (the owner I was told) said the offer had to be used all at once or only for new customers and Josie wasn’t budging. So for those tracking at home, I have to use $ 100 worth of TANNING services all at once when I’m «new.» Wow, what a person tanning or spray tanning could look like at that level!!! When I asked to speak to Josie, the poor girl at the counter said he only goes through Facebook and then suggested I call Unilocal for a refund. So now I’ve used my offer once and am out $ 90. One star because I’m forced.

I always have a great experience here! I don’t tan in a bed, but I do utilize the awesome airbrush girls and just recently the amazing Versa Spa! I hardly ever have a wait time because I make appointments and the girls are always welcoming and knowledgeable. I found the two best smelling lotions ever here and they were highly recommended by the girls. This location is clean and their products work efficiently. I also love the membership option! If you don’t get a membership, they are always running specials. They really know how to make a customer happy!

I do like this location of Tropical Tan. However the employees are hit or miss when it comes to customer service. It is hard to believe the owner knows anything about business. Like how paying customers should be treated. The beds here are awesome. The wait time is not awesome. Never have gone here with less than a 15 min wait. They do have great specials and some of the employees do take their job and the business they are getting seriously. Definitely not my favorite place to tan and luckily there are many other quality tanning places in town. I did have an awesome custom spray tan here before too so wanted to give them credit for that.

Great owner & great staff! Tropical tan is hands down the best tanning salon in Wisconsin. They work hard to take care of their customers and always have the best, newest tanning lotions available at great prices! Their beds are incredible and the whole atmosphere of the place leaves you feeling amazing! I’ve never walked out of that place without a smile! :D I highly recommend this salon! Also they give you a free birthday tan in your birthday suit for your birthday!;)

Best airbrush spray tans EVER! If you’re like me and want that even skin kissed glow that looks natural, you know this is hard to accomplish. Yet, these guys are pros at it and made me look awesome for my beach vacation!

I tanned at a different salon for 6 years before I became a regular at Tropical Tan, and boy was I missing out! The staff and owner are all so nice, fun, and down to earth that I just felt so comfortable there. Their level 5 stand up booth is my favorite and gets me so dark after just one session. They have daily specials too so you’re always getting a great deal!

it’s easy to see why this salon was voted best tanning salon of Kenosha county 2012 and i’m sure they will hold this title for years to come; the staff is super friendly and helpful, the salon is clean and inviting, they have incredible hours, and killer specials all week. they just recently started airbrush tanning at the salon. I haven’t had a chance to try that yet but I am going to make an appointment asap… I have a wedding to go to and I need to look my best!
if you live in the keno/​pleasant prairie area — I would recommend this salon over any others. for everyone from Illinois, if you are stopping at the outlet mall for some shopping or woodmans for bagged cereal (don’t deny that!) — stop in! you will be happy you did :0)

Tropical Tan is a GREAT tanning salon in the Kenosha/​Pleasant Prairie area! I have been to many tanning salons in the area, and have written poor reviews about others, however Tropical Tan is above most. They go out of there way to make you feel welcome, and offer many amenities within the rooms. With a wide range of beds and levels of spray tanning, this tanning salon is the best in the area!

Tropical Tan is great! The owners, Joze and Angela, are the sweetest people. They truly care about there clients and maintaining them. They do a great job of staying connected with everyone on facebook and instagram.
They have good beds and reasonable prices (best in Kenosha for what you get). The only drawback is that the place is small any they don’t have a ton of beds, BUT it’s definitely worth it when they treat you so well. They have customer appreciation days where they give away packages, lotions, provide food, and music. It’s no wonder they won Best of Kenosha ’12. I hope I can find a place like Tropical Tan in Raleigh. Miss you guys! Thanks for being so great!

I was extremely disappointed when I purchased a groupon for this place only to be told that I was limited on the usage of it. I purchased 5 spray tans and was told I could only use level 1 (out of 3). Nowhere on the groupon did it specify that. The manager at the counter was very rude and was not interested at all about remedying the situation. With plenty of other tanning salons in Kenosha, I will certainly take my business elsewhere next time.
