Bill’s Farmington Ave Pizza

I was in the mood for pizza and decided to stop by for take out. I passed Bill’s hundreds of times, and decided to try it out. I ordered a plain cheese pizza, and it was very good. Looking at the menu, I will definitely stop in again with my husband next weekend for dinner.

Excellent grinders .we had roast beef and egg and pepper– both wonderful. Great are the French fries — nice and crisp great flavor stayed hot and didn’t get soggy

As I write this, know that I’m having a tough time writing it. I’m a new resident of Berlin — homeowner, taxpayer, local business patron and supporter. I know Bill’s is a staple. I know that they are well liked in the community.
I also know that they were invaluable to us the very NIGHT we moved into our new home. Having obviously nothing to cook for dinner, I used this very website to search for some of the geographically closest food-​bearing operations. Bill’s came through in the clutch, with a big pizza, a cold bottle of soda, and all the plates, cups, napkins, and utensils necessary for a much needed dinner fix.
But… and I mean but…
It’s just… not… very… good… pizza…
*facepalm*
It’s Greek. And I really don’t like Greek pizza. In fact, I really don’t understand how anyone does. Clearly, enough people do like it to keep Bill’s and other such establishments alive and well, but like women and sports, I just can’t understand the fascination.
Look, it was edible. It’s not like anyone got sick or anything. But I’ll summarize my thoughts like this — My fiancée and I have been residents of Berlin for six months now, and the totality of pizzas received from Bill’s remains at one.

I have been going to Bills for over 30 years… the place is the best… great food and staff. they also donate alot of food for community activities!

They have friendly wait staff. Their Taco salad is out of his world! Stop by again.

Bill’s has the best pizza we have found in the Berlin/​Newington/​New Britain/​West Htfd areas. They have delicious sauce, a perfect thickness to the crust, and lots of thick melty cheese. I made a Unilocal account just to tell you to go get a pizza from here.

Bills is a terrific «old school» pizza joint. I call it old school because they still have the red vinyl booths and serve the soda in the red plastic Coke cups. The pizza if Greek style and delicious. The grinders are also very well made. Be careful… if you get the large, it will feed 3 people (no kidding, it is about 2 feet long)! Friendly staff and a clean place top off the experience. Go… NOW!
