This is a fun place! Some great finds, artistically displayed. Prices are pretty reasonable.

Sage wasn’t exactly what I expected but I’m still very pleased with what I found! I was assuming, based on what I associate with ‘consignment’ shops that there would be a lot of clothing, but other than a few racks in the back, that was not the case. Though there was a big case of jewelry. My second assumption would be that there would be a lot of furniture. That was somewhat true but the furniture tended to be covered with various antique household items and knick-knacks. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with any of that, it makes it fun to look through! Plus, I found something I hadn’t been looking for: a case displaying antique spoons. I know it’s a little weird but I’ve collected spoons since I was a kid. Usually the cheap souvenir shop kinds at every new city but I have a select few nice antique ones and I love the chance to add to that part of the collection. I chose two sterling silver spoons that both had nicely preserved engravings/carvings along the whole length of the spoon. Very cool! And they were both 35% off! Score!

Love love love this store. I make a visit at least once a month to both of their stores. The staff is fun and helpful, and prices are extremely reasonable. The way the owner collects and displays her finds is incredibly well done. It’s fun enough just to look let alone buy something to take home!

This is one of my all-time favorite antique stores in Kensington, MD(right outside Washington, D.C. The owner has a great eye and buys vintage jewelry, purses, hats, mirrors, lamps, furniture… you name it, she has it! And the prices are really good – every time I visit I leave with all kind of goodies!

We found Sage wandering around Howard Avenue, and really liked it. The small store is packed with unique home furnishings and some nice jewelry, as well. The prices were a bit high for my budget, but reasonable overall. I would highly recommend Sage!

Where do I even begin? I was strolling down Howard Ave after a job interview and thought to poke my nose into Sage Consignment. I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am that I took the time to step into this wonderful shop! The selection of home furnishings and vintage apparel is one of the best that I’ve seen in the DC area. Beyond the fact that the merchandise offering is exceptional, the store owner Michel is wonderful. She gives extremely helpful advise for vintage and antique collectors and her passion for her work is exciting and inspriring. Sage consigment is a must-visit anytime you come to the Kensington area. I assure you that you’ll find some sort of treasure.

I had the pleasure of working with Michel and her team earlier this year. My clients fell in love with a home the the team at Sage worked on for an Estate Sale. After they took care of the items in the home, they turned it into a presentable property by replacing floors, cleaning and getting some fresh paint on the wall. It was so appealing my clients competed with 9 other offers and got their dream home! Great Job Michel! I look forward to selling another ones of your Estate Homes.
