After reading all the reviews online I was so excited to move in here. I am originally from Washington but had been in San Diego California while in the military. It all started when I called for the availability, I had my parents check out the apartments and they had said its a good starter apartment complex. Donna Smith had sent me all the applications and I had paid the deposit, then after a week I had called and asked the progress of my application and she had went on to tell me she could not get ahold of my apartment from two years ago and it was NOT her job to try to contact them and that it was a hassle to get ahold of them. I asked her if she was ever going to tell me that and she had evaded the question and had said that she’s tried numerous times so I ended up contacting my old apartments for MY own background check and they had said they received nothing from her. Note, they answered my first call. Also she did NOT have to contact my previous apartments because she had also ran my credit. After that, I was approved but Donna had said I do not have enough credit, which did not make sense because at only being 22 I have plenty. Then she had went on to say When I arrive I will need an additional 200 $ before move in she had also stated that it would be fully refundable. When my boyfriend and I got to Washington things got even weirder… We arrive in the office and I met with Sandy, at first she was nice, she had explained the 200 $ saying it was because I am under conditional acceptance meaning even with my boyfriend as a cosigner and my parents the 200 $ was a cushion but it was not refundable… Donna had also made our lease 13mo instead of 12mo and did not include a checklist for discrepancies within the apartment. Irritated we still signed the lease as Sandy continued to tell us how great the apartment is and how they are now at 100% occupancy, at this point Donna walked in and introduced her snobby butt to us saying she just showed our apartment as a model, which was a lie because when we got there it was disgusting and Sandy had said they were at 100% occupancy. There were dead bugs on the floor and spiders in the storage, the bathroom had a leak in the ceiling and the bathtub was cracked. There is no molding around the carpet and I can peel the carpet up if I wanted to. They said they had painted the apartment which is not true, there are stains on the wall and on the carpet. The carpet was not cleaned, just vacuumed. I told her I would not move my tings in and requested it to be cleaned again. I gave her two days to have the cleaning ladies and maintenance man to come and fix it to the way it was supposed to be and it was NOT touched when I came by before the movers got there. I had called her and she said their cleaning person was out of town and that I should clean it, when she had originally told me they contract people out to do it. Fortunately, I had ran into the maintenance man and he had called Sandy himself as he was also disgusted with the apartment condition. He had said that they contract cleaning ladies and that he would make sure they came by. When they came by they came by with a bottle of windex and a rag and did nothing but give me excuses. I have literally scrubbed everything and cannot wait to leave this place. Please save yourselves from the lying staff in the office and find somewhere else. If I could rate zero stars I would. This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life.

Great location was the reason we moved here. The apartments are almost 30 years old so they aren’t the fanciest. They however are pretty roomy and we like all the trees surrounding us. Not the best apartment we’ve lived in but it will do for now.
