I has such high hopes for these guys. Great over the phone, but actual execution left a lot to be desired. The folks that moved me out of my apartment were new, and didn’t follow process. The didn’t do the inventory and then didn’t send it to me when they left. I was then charged more after they received all of my items. When my boxes were delivered, there were dings on wrapped items, boxes crushed, plastic containers cracked. And they lost all of my hardware for my bed, and then never followed up after a couple of calls. I had to go out and find it myself, and then assemble it myself. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Just 6 months after moving in, we had to move a bunch of stuff out of our house for 2 – 3 months during a remodel. There were lots of movers out there, and lots of storage facilities, but coordinating the two and paying separately for each would have cost double what Closetbox charges. I signed up on their website, typed in an inventory of my stuff, got an instant quote, and scheduled the pickup. A very friendly person from Closetbox called me to confirm and answer any questions I had as well as help enter my inventory(she did this a lot quicker than I was able to do it myself). They sent professional movers(they subcontracted Atlas) to pick up our stuff. The movers were just ok – they were a bit unprofessional(shouting and cursing in the street for hours while doing it), they did a small amount of damage to our wood floor and bedroom door frame, but they’re taking care of the damage repair and honestly, with that much stuff moving around there’s bound to be a hiccups along the way. I appreciated that the movers were loading my stuff directly into a wooden crate that would eventually get vaulted in the storage facility in Kent — that way they weren’t moving my stuff around again outside of my supervision, they’re just loading and unloading the crate as a whole. I haven’t received my stuff back yet as we’re still remodeling, but so far so good and I’m optimistic we’ll have a similar experience when we get it all back. One other thing — their website says 2 month minimum for storage, and 1-month’s charge to deliver your stuff back to you. In actuality, I learned from the rep that the 2 month minimum only covers the pickup, and in addition to the 1-month re-delivery charge, the minimum becomes 3 months unless you go pick up your stuff yourself within 2 months. This didn’t match what was advertised on their website and that really rubbed me the wrong way when I learned about it a 2 days before scheduled pickup, but I chalk it up to them being new and having some bugs in their communications still. Overall, I love the Closetbox concept and I think their pricing and service hit a nice balance for a very useful service.

I love using Closetbox for storing my furniture! They made it super simple and easy for me and I didn’t have to lift a single finger. I worked exclusively with Christine who was very friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. She was able to fit me in their busy schedule and I am very grateful for that. I first came across Closetbox when Christine stepped into my office informing our staff about the services they offer for students and from that day I referred this company to all of my residents. Closetbox offers FREE pickup and delivery services to all clients! You’re able to track your furniture as well. I’ve also done my share of research in regards to monthly storage pricing and UHaul services and NOTHING compares to Closetbox. I would highly recommend Closetbox to anyone who is stressing about their storage and moving process.
