I love this place! The people who work here especially Katie are just really friendly, funny, and inviting. I always feel welcome and I will definitely be coming back.

Great place to sit back with friends and have a good time. The staff are incredibly friendly, especially Katie! Not sure what you wanna try? She’s got great suggestions. Come in, sit for hours, and unwind in a great environment. I can’t help but keep coming back.

This place is really just horrible 99% of the time. The hookah heads are very small. You’re only allowed two charcoals before having to pay extra. You aren’t allowed to use their wifi. The workers are always sitting in the last booth smoking and ignoring customers. They hardly ever card people. I brought in food once (not realizing you aren’t allowed) only to be given a nasty look by the worker and scolded like I was an idiot. Then the next visit, the workers were eating inside from an outside place!
Used to be a very cool place a few years ago but now it’s just awful. I’ll never return.

Place has recently been renovated, I would definitely check it out.

Was not a huge fan when I went. The hookah was subpar, the service was nothing special and the atmosphere a little odd. If I’m going to go to a hookah bar, this is not my cup of tea when I’m going to go smoke hookah.

A dark, cozy, and interesting change of pace. The Firefly offers a unique environment from your typical bar-​like scene. The staff is always super friendly & very knowledgeable to you first time hookah smokers. They have a huge menu of different flavors of tobacco you can try (the spiced rum is a personal fav) & some really good cheesecake too.
I also enjoy their chalkboard tables that are fun to doodle on & the music selection is pretty damn good. Not sure who’s art they display but whomever it is is a genius! Some of the paintings they display speak volumes and I like that they offer to display local artists work :)
A great place for someone who wants to try something new and different in a controlled environment. Also, hats off for being the only hookah bar around for miles!

Firefly is a nice hookah bar with a decent selection of flavors. The price is fairly standard for a Hookah bar (roughly $ 12 per hookah). Very kind and courteous staff, and the environment is very chill. I wish they had a bigger venue as it’s sometimes hard to get a seat for a group over five on the weekends, but that’s my only real complaint.
I wish they could get a liquor license so you could have a drink while you smoke.

This is the place where I «popped my hookah cherry». I came here with some friends a month or so ago, and I came into a place with torn-​up booths, a floor that is in ruins, and a bathroom that would be better off in jail than in a hookah bar.
They require that you buy drinks while you hookah — that’s a biggie. The drinks are horribly priced, but who cares? It’s hookah.
The quality and variety of «flavors» are above-​average. There’s not a really good way of describing it. The smoking experience was worthwhile, but there are better hookah lounges out there. However, for NE Ohio, this will sadly have to do.

First of all, they get one thumbs up for being the only hookah bar in Kent! Second, for being awesome.
The atmosphere is very relaxed and people sprawl out on those couches for hours while the smoke. Firefly has a ton of great flavors and house mixes, and of course, you can always mix and match to your hearts desire. They also have a few desserts you can choose from.
When you walk in, be sure you have your I.D. with you because, unlike others, they always check to make sure you aren’t a teeny bopper.
The wait can be lengthy (there are, afterall, only so many couches), so call ahead to see how long the wait is and put your name on the list. Always do this on weekends.
There is a 1-​drink minimum Friday-​Saturday. So don’t be surprised.
They can accomodate groups small and large. They have loveseats for two and couches arranged to fit ten times that.
Kick back, relax and be prepared: you will fall for Firefly.
