This is a great place for a morning run if training for a 5k or half marathon. Heading north from the park is a great run that is round trip just shy of 3 miles. Running south you can run to Lake Meridian and back which is 10 miles round trip. There are hills and flat areas but what I like is the variety of scenery. There are forest areas and wetland areas and the trail isn’t overcrowded. It is fully paved and peaceful. There is usually enough parking but gets more full on sunny days later in the day. A morning run has never been a problem finding parking.
