It’s a known fact that a car is never the same after an accident, and this shop makes that a true statement. I have had the misfortune of visiting this place for three separate accidents (thankfully no one was hurt in any!) The first two were minor and admittedly, the shop did a good job. So when our car was sideswiped by a genius that can’t work a left turn lane, this was the first place I thought of. And so the trouble began.
I was told on several occasions that the car was done. I’d gas up the rental in preparation to return it, and head over to the body shop to take a look. Every time I’d find 3 things wrong and point them out. They promised to fix them in a few days. I’d get another call, repeat the process and find only 2 things have been fixed, and new problems created. New dents, missing exterior trim pieces, and my personal favorite: clear overspray on all driver side windows. I didn’t discover that one until the sun hit them and turned the windows opaque while I was checking the blind spot/​merging.
A weeklong project took a month of back and forth to get the car where it should be, and there is still a paint line I’m not happy with. Also, based on some marks on the inside, I’m fairly certain the car spent time in the rain while missing glass.
I was told by the front office staff not to leave negative feedback on the corporte survey since it would dock their pay. That is either a terrible policy or I’m being told a story. Save your time and take your buisness elsewhere.

If you go to Kent Gerber, see Larry! I went to Gerber after my Subaru was rear ended. While they fixed the bumper, I was hoping they would be able to install a trailer hitch for my Subaru Crosstrek. The bumper was going to be off anyway… Larry took care of everything. I dropped my car off on a Sunday night, and it was ready on Wednesday. I had a brand new bumper, a Subaru trailer hitch, and a very clean car. I could not be happier. There is one small paint bubble, but the only person that will every notice it is me. If I do ever decide to get that bubble taken care of, I am confident Gerber will make it disappear.

This review is strictly about their customer service. I needed to get a dent fixed on my car, I made an appointment online to come in for an estimate. When I got there, the man helping me asked me what I was looking for, I said I wanted to see how much it would be to fix my car, told him I was comparing prices & he said he wouldn’t even give me an estimate based on the other prices I got from other companies. Said he didn’t want to waste my time & sauntered off. He was not only rude, but very condescending. I took time out of my day to get a quote & he wouldn’t even write one up for me because I had already went to other collision places first. When I took my car to Renton Collision, they were nice & the man doing the estimate for me went through everything very thoroughly with me although he knew I was shopping around for the best price.
I’ll never step foot into this establishment again. To be treated that way, completely uncalled for.

So far so good. We went to get a quote and went to the different shops the insurance covered. However, the damage is below the deductible. My Firebird was hit in a parking lot by a lady driving careless in a huge SUV. Anyhow, these guys offered a quick quote, bottles of water, donuts if you want them, and they have a waiting lobby. They were comfortable. The quote was $ 200 below the competition less than a minute down the street. I am hoping the repair looks good and I will update after we get the car fixed. Thanks!

If i could give them negative stars i would. They have horrible customer service. They send out texts saying vehicle will be done in a week then call the next day at 5 pm saying its done. Sorry i cant just come there 30 minutes before u close and then say I’ll have to pay out of pocket for an extra day for a rental. Then they sent me a gift card because i gave them a bad review which he called on christmas eve asking why i gave him a bad score. He sounded sincere and apologized. So i brought my car here 2 weeks ago willing to give them a second chance. Once again they dropped the ball. They said they update on Tuesday and Thursdays. Last week they did great then yesterday (Tuesday) i didnt get an update so i called. The guy said the estimator was out yestersay so thats why i wasnt update and said no one was there to talk to me at 1pm. He got me the manager who was rude and said i was sent an email. Which i checked again no email. And why did the first guy say they didnt send one. My car took days longer than they said. And manager was nothing but rude to me. I just want to be informed about my car. They said 9 days and its been over 2 weeks! Ridiculous!!! Never ever ever coming back!!! Hopefully my car is done tomorrow so i can drive away as fast as possible!!! Such a nightmare!!!

If I could give them zero stars I would. Gerber had me bring in my car to quote a broken window and frame damage done in a burglary. They made it sound easy and scheduled a follow up. I cancel work to get the car into them and as I’m driving the car down to them they call to let me know they didn’t order the glass. I reschedule and bring the car in the following week, another day off work. They call me two hours after I drop off the car to tell me they do not have the parts and it is going to be a few more days. In addition, they tell me they have ordered used glass and never mentioned this before. Beyond the incompetence in actual glass repair, there phone is answered by a machine and you have to work your way through an auto attendant before you can get to a live person. Save yourself the headache. Go some place else! Genuine Auto Glass in auburn was great. They even had a live person answer the phone!

This gerber collision has excellent service and repair! All of their staff is very accommodating and goes above and beyond to do the right thing for the client! I ended up having a broken ankle when I had to have my car repaired not once, but twice in the same month and both times they offered to come pick my car up and I cannot say enough just how great they treated me as a client. Kaitlin at the front desk has amazing customer service skills and makes sure the clients are taken care of! Thank you GC&G for taking care of my and my car!

I went here because I was in an accident and this was the repair shop that the insurance company referred me to. They did great work, it was done quickly, they returned my car (much) cleaner than I left it with them, they were friendly, and they coordinated with Enterprise rental car to pick me up and to pick up the rental car when I was done with it. I couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks Gerber!

I recently had a mishap with a rear view mirror. being that the vehicle is an infiniti, i knew it would be a potentially expensive fix. when i arrived at Gerber, all front desk personel were extremely gracious and attentive. I encountered Jason Pray whom unaware to me at the time, is the boss down there. he did not delegate. He promptly went out to the vehicle and got his hands dirty. He attempted to order just the mirror glass, as that was all he said was needed. he told me it would be around seventy five bucks out the door, according to the price he had on hand. However when he contacted the dealership, they claimed it was a $ 322 dollar piece. Flabergasted, he then told me he refused to have me pay that price, directed me to e bay where I found the same piece (only non-​heated glass) for $ 30. Upon my return to the shop, he insisted on applying the glass free of charge, as well as buffing out the chrome on the housing unit for the glass. I will be going on a long trip soon and this saved me money, time, as well as securing a safe trip, as opposed to traveling with a shattered rear view mirror. I can’t say enough about this establishment and the positive experience I had there. No up selling, no inflated pricing, and an excellent staff. keep up the good work Gerber.

My husband was in an accident, and this was one of the places our insurance worked directly with. I did not decide to use them. So our car went in and needed a bunch of repairs. They were a little rocky at the start in their communications. But, my car was repaired promptly, no extras slid in, and they weren’t 100% satisfied with the way the car looked, so the washed it and polished it for free. Over all I had a great experience and will definitely use them again if needed.
