High Tech Appliance Service

Waited a couple of weeks for them to come look at our dishwasher. They never called to confirm the appointment and they didn’t return my calls asking if the appointment was still on. They arrived early the day of the appointment. The repair guy (Mike) was not as grumpy as the others sound, but he didn’t even pull the dishwasher out to inspect it. He just took off the plate on the bottom to prove to me it wasn’t leaking, then he listened to it for a minute and said I need a new main pump for $ 300-​$ 400 (the dw was installed just over 12 months ago — out of warranty). He said they’d order the part and call to schedule the appointment and then left. In and out in 10 minutes. Next day they call me to say the part isn’t available and I have to call Kitchen Aid back. Kitchen Aid says the part IS available and want to send them back to actually confirm the pump is dead by taking it apart. So that would be *another* couple of weeks to wait for another diagnosis appointment (and then more time for parts and install appointment). I had them schedule the second round with another company because I’m done dealing with these guys.

Whirlpool sent a guy out to my house from HighTech because my Electric range was constantly clicking on and off. I guess this is a normal behavior on these newer electric models but I raised a concern during my warranty period to ensure it after talking to local Lowes appliance associates just to be sure. However the rep that came out to my location what annoyed that he had to come out for user education and was extremely rude in letting me know this. Very unprofessional demeanor.

Very unprofessional company. Frigidaire arranged for them to work on my dishwasher, under warranty. They scheduled the appointment for three days later, and on that day, I never received a phone call from them. So I have them a call only to find that THEY had it scheduled for the same day the NEXT week, and the man I talked to on the phone was incredibly rude. The day they came, I got a 15 minute heads up (more like 5) that they were coming, via phone call. I missed the call because I was changing my baby, and the guy actually got on to me for not answering my phone when he arrived. He was very impersonal, very short, made me feel dumb in my repair questions, and he had horrible grooming habits. I actually had to open my windows and spray air freshener when he left. Very unpleasant company to work with.

ZERO star. Or even negative 5 stars.

I don’t usually write reviews online but this was absolutely the worst experience so I have to let everyone know.
First of all, they were late for their appointment, I called/​left message but did NOT call me back for ETA.
Then finally the grumpy guy (Peter) came to fix our washer with no introduction himself at the door.(he parked on the ally so I told him to move but he didn’t listen.) He saw our washer and immediately said“I can’t fix this today. You need to take dryer down before I take a look at it. You have to reschedule.“
I was surprised and said no such a information from anyone.

No apologies nothing and left.
I don’t know why these people are still in business. I never wanna pay penny to support this kind a people.
Seriously don’t use them.

Like many others, I had to give one star because you can’t write a review without giving a star. And, like many others, I agree that this is about the WORST company I have ever been forced to deal with. They have come to my house twice and that must have been a minor miracle as since then, not only have they not appeared in the three hour window of time they give me, they can’t be bothered to EVER call. I’ve called after they haven’t shown up, and they say they’ll be in here in 15 minutes. And, of course, don’t show up. I’ve been in tears pleading with Electrolux that I just can’t deal with HIghTech. But the other repair service companies either have been short a refrigerator repair person or something else. Then, I’m back at the mercy of HighTech again. Today, Electrolux assigned me to another company that did great work last year, Hooray! HighTech, I would say I hope I never have to see you again… but that would be dumb as you (almost) never show up!

NEVER hire this company!!! There should be a «zero» rating! The only decent thing about this experience was the kind tech. Our appliance issue was never fixed and High Tech Appliance took our money and RAN with it! The only way we could reach their owner was by calling via other phone numbers outside of the Sea/​Tacoma area because he probably knew who was trying to reach him. He would always tell us that he’d call us back, and it never happened. We had to hire a new appliance company to then address our issue. Right now we are working with A&E and I would recommend using them!!! Again, DO NOT waste your time or resources with High Tech! You will be had!

I bought a Kitchen Aid island hood & it did not produce any air suction after installed. KA sent over 2 other companies, both failed miserably in even identifying what was the issue. Peter came yesterday; after taking one look, he suggested taking off the blower. Voilà! Issue found! He also provided temporary solutions for me to be able to use the vent before my original installer comes back to fix his mistakes! Thanks Peter for your expertise!

I wanted to give no stars but can’t figure out how to do that on the iPhone app.
I am so frustrated with these guys; I’ve been totally had. The freezer on my 2 year-​old LG fridge wasn’t working and they are one of the few places I could find to service LG. The first visit was $ 120. He had to order a part and come back. I had to call back twice to get the status and have them come back with the ordered part — and that took several weeks. They charged me $ 384 in labor for the second visit, it still doesn’t work, and now they won’t return my calls.
In short, I have paid them $ 500, my freezer still does not work, and they won’t return my calls. Don’t get an LG and do not use High Tech.

Don’t ever use High tech appliance. He will tell you to wait for the parts for like months or even years!!!

I made an appointment two weeks in advance to have a service technician arrive at my house between 8:00 AM and noon. The service tech was to call about ½ hour before he/​she arrived.
By 11:50 AM the service technician never called. I called the company to find out when or if the service technician was going to show up. Then the service technician called saying he would be there in 15 minutes. when showed up he didn’t do any work on the appliance. he basically charged me a service fee of $ 100.00 and left saying he would call when he had the parts.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Technician did not call prior to appointment, as was previously requested and agreed upon. After the appointment window extinguished, I called High Tech to ask what happened. They replied that the technician called twice and left voicemails, which my phone magically never recorded. Instead of attempting to correct the situation, I was called a liar. Needless to say, their company won’t last long with that level of customer service. Unfortunately, zero star reviews are not allowed. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

ZERO star! Terrible DON’T CALL. I had to call them three times to find out they were coming when I was told they would call before they came. They missed the 2 hour window. NO customer service!
I’m still waiting for them to follow through after I paid them the service call.
I’ve called to file a complaint with the manufacturer so they don’t use them for their business. .certainly don’t deserve it with such awful service

They make appointments and don’t show up or call. This is the worst service ever.
Do not call this company, you will waste your time and never hear from them!

Horrible customer service! Had a tech come to our house and not only did he say he fixed our ice maker (which he didnt) he never showed back up when he said he was coming. We called quite a few times left many many many messages and still have not heard from them. We called a new Appliance repair place and they have been fantastic. Please do not use this company.

The service guy came out to my house over a month ago to repair my washer. He said he had to order a couple of parts, which was supposed to only take a week. A month later, no call, no parts, and no option to leave a message. I gave him $ 95 for the service call. Horrible service.

Had an appointment with this company through KitchenAid. They did not call to confirm the appointment (as per KitchenAid’s instruction) so I called to confirm. The man who answered the phone said «I’ll call you right back». Two hours later — no call. They ended up not showing up for their 12 — 5pm appointment.
Now that I see many people are having their substandard service, I’m rather glad they didn’t show up to fix our dishwasher.

Downgrading to 1 star since there’s no 0 star option. We told Whirlpool they’d disappeared into the ether and they worked their magic and we somehow got another appointment, which they actually made.
But, they ordered the wrong part, so back the tech went. Several weeks later and not only do they not answer their phone, but the voicemail is full, so there you go. Even Whirlpool gave up on them and arranged for a different repair shop, so beware, avoid these folks like they have the Ebola.

These guys are a joke. I had a home repair warranty and these were the guys assigned for a washing machine repair. They never called me to schedule the repair (neither had the warranty service even made me aware that hi-​tech appliance was assigned). A month later, when I finally got their name/​number, I called and spoke with Peter. Peter is disorganized and has no idea what’s going on. He booked a 3-​hour window appointment for me the following week and then no-​showed. Now it’s 2 weeks later and he claims there was no appointment on the books.
These people are just plain disorganized and don’t know how to run a business.

I got directed to this repair storage through LG’s warranty service. My microwave was not heating anymore, and after searching on the internet, I knew the problem was a defective magnetron. I indicated that to High Tech Appliance Service –as well as my model number-​, who dispatch a technician to my home. When the technician arrived –late– he did not have the magnetron. He spent about an hour to come to the conclusion that the magnetron was defective… Duh! And that he will need to order the part and come back. He charged me for the visit but insisted that I will not be charged a visit fee again when he comes back with the part. Sure enough, weeks later when he came back he asked from my wife a visit for the visit again.
In short, this is a company of crooks and robbers. Never use them.

My freezer stopped working on a Sunday afternoon and I needed someone to take a look at it quickly, before everything thawed out. I called 2 appliance repair companies that received strong reviews on Unilocal and left messages, as neither worked on Sunday. By 8:30 on Monday morning High Tech Appiance had contacted me, and we made an appointment for a technician to come out at 1:00pm that same day. The technician was punctual, quickly identified the issue as a theromstat problem, replaced it and had the freezer working within an hour. I coulden’t have been more pleased with the service and highly recommend this company.
The other appliance repair company that I contacted and left a message with never even called me back.
