I’m not handy in any way, shape or form. Going to the Home Depot is like going to Mars for me. I moved recently and in the process of the move, a friend made a hole in the wall that required repair. I also had some special light bulbs and a professional light bulb changer that I had to pick up for the vaulted ceilings in the home I was moving out of. I had a hard time finding the right bulbs and asked for help. The gal I approached had a hard time understanding what I was explaining, so we walked over to another employee and he walked us straight over the exact bulbs I needed. I did self-checkout, but the guy running the stand there offered to help me out still in case I needed it. Even though I was out of my element, I got what I needed easily and the three people I encountered were all friendly and glad to help.

*************Please see my SEARSOUTLET Review******************* I’ve always had great service shopping here. I have been shopping here for the last 5 years. Everyone is helpful and knowledgeable and I will actually drive out of my way to shop here. Where I live now there is actually a Lowe’s within walking distance but I would rather shop HD) So in Jan/Feb my husband and I were in the process of buying our first home. We were in need of a washer, dryer, and fridge. After a horrible experience with Sears Outlet i shopped online at HD and found some really nice appliances for comparable pricing. So I went ahead and ordered them and perfect time, they wouldn’t be available until about 30 days after we moved into our new home. Everything was set. Well about a week before they are supposed to be delivered I give the online site a call to verify everything and they tell me the bad news — they shipment has been delayed a month. :-(We have already been going to the laundromat for laundry a month and don’t want to extend that so now we need to go on to plan b. Which we didn’t have a plan b. The online Rep was very helpful and told me to check out their website again and see if there was anything we liked and to call them back. I found another set online that was a little more pricey and called her. She spoke with her manager and due to the delay of the previous set they hooked us up with a nice discount plus a gift card to HD.(so much better then sears) and the washer/dryer we purchased could be delivered that week. My mom came over to receive them and they were in perfect condition(unlike Sears) and were set up and made ready for use. As I said above I will continue to go out of my way to a HD location due to all their wonderful customer service skills. They go out of their way to make the customer experience a positive one.

I thought staffing would improve after initial opening few months. NOT. Not only is it hard to find someone knowledgeable, try and find someone HELPFUL, someone HAPPY to HAVE a job. I simply needed some impregnation supplies for my ceramic flooring. A sealant, the individual looked at me like I was asking them to be a SPERMDONOR! He had the didn’t foggiest idea what the heck I was talking about! I said floor protector, then I gave up and said«that’s ok… I will find it.» I continued my wandering and found the item I was looking for. I stopped by the lighting aisle and picked up a case of bulbs on sale! They sign indicating the sale was placed in error, the cashier said she wouldn’t honor the price… I asked for a manager… He apologized and honored the price and quickly removed the sale tag. THAT is WHY they got 2 stars instead of the NEGATIVEONE! YES! The Lioness was disturbed!!!
