Jasmine Mongolian Grill

Decided to try this place a few months ago. It used to be a Chang’s.
So much better than Chang’s was!
Very attentive wait staff. Soup, rice, wrap choices are a nice touch. All-​you-​can-​eat!
Fresh veggies and meat choices. I like lamb, pollock, and the imitation crab. Choice of regular yakisoba-​like noodles or spinach noodles.
Love all the things to add to taste. This place is a garlic lover’s delight! Large slices of garlic along with minced garlic. Chef’s sauce is a great addition.
The grilling gentlemen have always been very nice and grill well. Helps to have them see that you add a little tip to the tip bowl.
I like that they don’t roast peanuts on the grill since I have an allergy.
Drink refills are done promptly and, more often than not, are done even before they are due.
Sherbet and ice cream choice after your meal is a great way to finish.
Restrooms are well looked-​after.
A bit pricey, but overall, it’s a great place. I wish there was one closer to where I live.

So many choices. But yeah, like Sha says in her review, don’t use too much sauce. It’s easily done if you aren’t paying attention to volume, and it overwhelms your food.

I am just not willing to shell out the cash to be treated so poorly. The truth is that the waitstaff is O.K., cooks are especially rude and inept, cashiers are horrible… The food is ok but it is the experience you are paying for at any Mongolian Grill. What the heck JMG?! They are in the service industry, they really need to treat their customers like guests.

Delish every time!!! Great and fast service. Lunch is the best price. Dinner is a little expensive if you are someone that only goes through the buffet once.

The wait staff are super nice and great but to be honest, we came to eat the food and the food was not good. They have a nice selection but the scallops were frozen solid, sauces not very flavorful and also very hard to use because they are under a sneeze guard, and the worst part is the grill. It’s like the cooks don’t care. My dish got mixed with someone else’s so I had mushrooms I did not want and a lot of my ingredients got knocked off the grill because of the haphazard way the cook handled it. The first plate I got was very spicy which was enough to mask the flavor of the burnt residue in it, but I could still see the black bits. The second dish I got was intended to be lighter in flavor but I honestly could not taste l taste anything over the ashy burnt residue throughout the dish. And I watched them attempt to clean the grill right before putting my food on it.
The waitress was sweet and prompt and the ice cream was yummy but there are far better places to eat for less than $ 40 for a couple.

The good:
–Service is awesome, the wait staff refilled my drink very promptly
–Free ice cream with the meal
The bad:
–The grill is very dirty and a burnt flavor permeates the whole dish
–The cooks burned my dish the first time, undercooked the second time
Raw shrimp= gross.

I’ve eaten here many times over the years. The wait staff is very nice. However, the restaurant is beat up, sticky, and the majority of the tables wobble. The grill cook managed to burn the hell out of my food and yet still under cook it, which makes him an exceptionally talented bad cook. I told him he burnt it and he didn’t care. The vegetables were completely raw. It was inedible. The wait staff offered for me to go up again and make a new plate of food but at that point I just wanted to leave and never come back. It’s too bad because it used to be an excellent restaurant. Had they offered to refund my money I’d have given them another chance but they didn’t.

I have been here many times with friends and my fiancé! The staff is friendly and have great customer service! I always recommend Jasmine to anyone looking for a delicious meal!

This place was pretty good. The staff was awesome, very friendly and attentive. The food was pretty good, but I’ve had better Mongolian. We went around 8:30 and it was pretty empty; there were only a few other people in there with us. Sauce selection was lacking, and my boyfriend agreed. Came here because of the Unilocal rating, and I just don’t think it was up to par. $ 32.00 without tip for dinner service, not bad at all for an all-​you-​can-​eat Mongolian. We didn’t get their ice cream, which may have been a mistake because if I can recall correctly, it was pretty delicious. But, I was stuffed from a pretty generous portion I got for myself. It wouldn’t be my first choice for Mongolian again, but I would go if I needed to!

Eh I wasn’t impressed. Very friendly staff. I love ish they’d do Togo boxes, even if it was an extra, m3 dollars like the Changs in Renton. I eat small portions at a time and almost always I take home leftovers n snack on it later.

I decided to come here with my friends because one of my friend’s recommended it to me. When I first came in we were waiting at the entrance for almost 20 minutes and we weren’t greeted or even acknowledged. There were no servers or anyone there except the cook, we ended up just walking up and started putting food on our plates. The selection was pretty good had lots of varieties of meat, vegetables, sauces, but the stations were really messy especially at the sauce station. There was sauce all over the sauce station, I wouldn’t have been surprised if some of the sauces mixed in together. The room was filled with smoke, but they apologized and said that the fan was broken, my friend who I came with got really nauseated by that and she couldn’t eat and had to go outside every 10 minutes to breathe. Overall i thought the food was good, but the customer service and cleanliness is what made me give it 2 stars, it wasn’t the greatest experience and I probably won’t be returning.

Surprisingly good food and service. They won’t let you take anything home – which was a bit of a problem when my 3 year old wanted his noodles. I’ll be back.

I do love coming here. It is delicious on all accounts.
It’s my favorite thing that they have spinach pasta, because no other Mongolian grill I’ve ever been to has ever had spinach pasta. Anyway, I typically get shrimp and or salmon in my pasta, so I can get a little more bang for my buck. I wish they would add teriyaki sauce to their mix of sauces though.
Their grill guys are always really friendly, which I love.
The only reason they’re not getting the full 5 stars, is because my 11 year old is considered an adult. So, I have to pay $ 15 for her to eat there, even though she’s going to eat less than a half of a bowl.

I have been coming here for years great food and service. It’s s buffet for those who don’t know. In addition they serve you soup, white rice and rice wrappers. After they also give you some really good icecream.

My wife and I decided on this place after our previous Mongolian grill closed down. Turns out that was a fantastic choice.
The food was excellent with a great selection of meats and veggies. The squid was super tender, and both cooks were on point. Even the service was excellent. The waitress was extremely attentive and helpful.
Definitely give this place a try!

They would have received a much higher rating because the food was pretty good if the customer service hadn’t been so awful.
A little history. I use
frequently. I have the app on my phone. The gift certificates never ever expire so I tend to purchase about 50 or 60 at a time when there is a major sale and it does take me a long time to use them.
The manager on duty was definitely aware that Jasmine Mongolian Grill has a relationship with
. But because she had never «seen the app», she was very flustered and was not prepared to accept my gift certificate. She was upset because it said I had purchased it in 2011. She pretty much treated me like I was trying to rip her off and kept me waiting for over 20 minutes while she tried to figure out how to make sure the GC was still valid.
I showed her the app on my phone, the website, how the certificate showed up under «unused», how there was a validate button to make sure it was good, gave her the phone number to call them, read her all the terms and conditions, told her and pointed it out to her about fifty times the many places where it specifically said «
gift certificates NEVER EXPIRE.»
She pretty much insisted that I get her a print out. Which is wasteful of both paper and ink, thanks for not being green! Being unprepared on your side does not mean an emergency on mine. I did happen to have a folder in my car with GC’s that I had printed out in 2012 and this one happened to be one of them. So back in 2012 the terms and conditions said that they took off the money from the gift certificate AFTER adding an 18% gratuity. The GC on my phone, which was MORE UP TO DATE, BEING REAL TIME did not say this. I pointed that out to her. She didn’t care.
I told «Elsa» that I was unhappy with my service and that if she hadn’t treated me like a criminal for using a program that THEY SIGNED UP FOR and kept me waiting for 20 minutes, and then tacked on a non-​optional gratuity, that I would have tipped over 20%. But if they wanted to take less I guess that’s their choice. Way to drive customers away.

Very tasty!!! Love how you can choose what you want in your stirfry… so many choices! You can also go back as many times as you want. The ice cream and fortune cookies at the end are the perfect end to the meal. You also get rice and wraps to add to your stir fry!

Yummmy! Highly recommended for mongolian BBQ lovers out there. Enough said and for you to try!

I drove here from Tacoma because the Mongolian grill here in Tacoma is absolutely terrible. So glad I did!
The outside of the building is very out dated and looks like a place you would never want to step foot into, however when you walk inside its beautiful! Nice lighting, clean and modern booths and extremely clean and stocked buffet area. The flavor of everything is top notch and has a ton of flavor. The salmon pieces are fantastic. The cook cooks everything perfectly. EXCEPT for the thicker pieces of fish, they generally ALWAYS come out still gooey and cold.
You can go back for as much as you want as long as you eat it and you can start off with soup and end with ice cream at no extra charge!
Lunch time is about 11 per person until 2:30 pm and then after that it’s 15 per person. Pretty pricy if you don’t plan on shoving your face with a plethora of food. But the experience and environment is well worth it. Nice location and great staff! Will definitely be back.

Holy moly! This place is awesome. 1^st trip to one of these grills and I was amazed. Great food. Chef who cooked for us was friendly. Must’ve put on a few pounds before I left from all that food!
