J’s Teriyaki

We’ve seen this place over the years but have never stopped in. We were getting our car worked on close by so we thought we’d grab lunch there while we waited. We were the only people there at noon on a Monday. I had wipe my own table off. The man that greeted/​took our order was a bit unfriendly. We were looking over the menu since we hadn’t been there before and he seemed irritated that he had to wait on us and it was only a few moments. We ordered a chicken terriyaki and then eggrolls. About 4 miutes later he emerges from the back holding our plates over the counter «here you go» and was again seemingly agitated that we had to get up from our table to walk to him to get our food. The short amount of time it took us to get our food worried us a bit. The food seemed like it was reheated and not very good. Chicken had a terrible soy like sauce, not the usual terriyaki flavor and the eggrolls are a costco special. Shortly after eating there my husband became ill. Don’t eat there.

The ONLY reason I gave them 2 stars was because the food is decent. However, I tried to order dinner for my family after my daughter’s dance class and when I approached the owner to order he said they were closed. It was only 7 on a Friday night and there were people in there eating! No big deal, I though, I’ll just catch them earlier next week. The next Friday I went in to order 3 meals and asked if I could have the rice on the side for one of the dinners and he just flat out said no. I was so shocked that he said no, I just told him that I had changed my mind and I didn’t want to order anything. I can’t believe a small business would treat a customer this way! Here I was thinking I was helping him out, well, I will NEVER get food there again! Too bad they had to lose a customer over rice on the side. :(
