I went there last night because of all the reviews. I decided to try it out and see if it was worth it. I walked in and the lady at the front desk was very friendly and attentive. The menu is very big and the place smelled very good. I decided to try the house fish and potato scallops because many people said it was good. Also decided to try the calamari and chips. House fish and potato scallops for very fresh but in my opinion the breading was very heavy. Even tho(for me) the breading was heavy, the fish was very fresh and not dry at all. The tartar sauce with it was delicious and the orange creamy sauce they have with it was superb; creamy with a hint of spicyness. Loved the fresh calamari. It was well breaded and cooked and tasted really good in the orange creamy sauce they had. The fries are actually fresh and crispy but not greasy. Will definitely go back for the calamari. Nice clean and relaxed little place. Be carefull tho on rainy day. They had a sign up, but because they are tile floors they are slippery. So I busted my ass sooo bad on the floor. I was not happy. But not their fault. Other than that, they have good fresh fried fish and calamari and I will be back to try them out. They should use a panko breading to coat the fish in. But it’s the Best place around so far.

Nazes could possibly be the best kept secret in Kent. The ambiance is an incredible amalgam of blue hues and that unique elegance you only find with places dedicated to their craft. I’ve had the House Fish, Aussie Pies, Hawaiian Burger, and the Chicken fingers. The food is in a realm of its own because the ingredients are fresh(you actually choose the cut of fish you want), it’s made to order, and everything has a distinct flavor and zeal that will keep you coming back. The prices are great, the food is consistently well made, and the ladies — Naze and her neice are both very very nice. It’s a favorite of mine, and I don’t even like seafood. They made me a believer. Check it out for yourself.

I ate there on the morning of 8/24, wasn’t expecting much, great customer service, very nice. Ordered a fish burrito which was pretty awesome! I’ll definitely recommend this place and plan on eating here again!

Went here for lunch today. The lady working the counter was very nice. When I mentioned it was our first time in, she recommended going with the house fish and chips… So we took her advice. Came with 2 large pieces of fish and fries and 1 scalloped potato per order so we could try them out. The fish was EXCELLENT. The fish was flaky and tender and the batter was pretty much perfect in my opinion. The tartar sauce had a great flavor as well. Both of us really enjoyed the scalloped potato, but in my opinion, the fries were lacking a bit. Not bad, just didn’t stand out like the fish did. Friendly service, very clean establishment and great fish. Very nice sized menu if you have a picky eater in your group… burgers and such. Have only tried the fish at this point. Will be back next time we are looking for great fish and chips. Location is a small gas station strip mall-very convenient just off of Kent Kangley on East Hill. Another great place on the hill for sure!

This was our first time here and I must say the gentleman and lady behind the register was really nice. Since it was our first time he gave us really good suggestions and provides great service. I got the cod and my husband got the halibut. I wished I got the halibut it was so good. Their special dipping sauce was amazing. The batter that they use is not like your average fish and chips places such as ivars. It reminded me of the Asian tempura. We also tried their clam chowder and it was fantastic. It had the right amount of spice to it. Definitely will be back!!!

We are so happy to have found this restaurant! The food is delicious! They have the best fish tacos although they are more like fish burritos cuz they are so big! A lot for the $! So fresh! Wonderful friendly people & Naze is the owner! This Sat, April 11, 2015 will be their 7th anniversary, PARTY!

This place was SPOTLESS when we visited– and I mean not-a-speck-of-anything-anywhere. I mention this first because the way this joint is located, it looks like it’s connected to the gas station on the corner, but no. The strip mall is just awkwardly angled– don’t worry about this being«gas station food.» If you go in on a weekday(like we did), you’ll choose your fish at the cash register. On the weekends, they apparently fill up the cold cases and you can see the different types.(Not enough weekday business for the cases, which are large, so that makes sense.) Pretty much, if you can bread and fry it, you can nom it here. I’m not a huge fish fan(was here for a friend), but I enjoyed my fish and chips. I think it’s because it was so fresh– no fishy taste, hooray! It’s not a super-cheap meal, but for fresh fish prepared on the spot, it’s probably pretty reasonable. I would go again!

Naze is great neighborhood spot with good, quality seafood. There are lots of options and variety of non-seafood items as well. I’ve enjoyed coming here for years and will continue to do so. Try the clam chowder there’s no bacon in it, which was a plus since I don’t eat meat.

My boyfriend and I are ALWAYS looking for a good place for fish and chips — well, we found it! This place is excellent. We walked in at 11am and the place was empty and spotless. The stainless steel fryers and grill tops were sparkling and the oil looked fresh. The carpets, and tile floor were clean and we were greeted promptly. At a little under $ 10/person, this is well worth it. We ordered the house fish and chips and were very full when we were done. Each order comes with two large pieces of fish and a basket of fries. The batter on the fish was very crispy and light and the fish inside was delightfully moist. The fries were fried to perfection and salted(which is a bonus!). The tartar sauce was on point, and the house sauce was a spicy/tangy goodness on both the fish and the fries. I think the best part for me was the customer service. The gal that was working when we stopped in was the most accommodating and polite server/hostess I’ve ever encountered. When we finished our meal, she brought us out two complimentary fried Oreos(whoa) that were just delish!(This coming from a non-oreo fan) The ONLY complaint I had was the fish was just a TINY bit greasy and the inside wasn’t as flaky as I’m used to. But, really — I’d go back a hundred times! Don’t forget the Oreos!

Big pieces of fried stomach churning goodness. Unilocal reviews led me to this Aussie fried fish place. It is located in a strip mall area next to a gas station. If you are driving by, you more than likely wouldn’t stop considering it is like 45 to 50 miles per hour on that street. The inside is like a typical fried fish restaurant. A few tables and a counter to order at. There is a display of fish for you to pick as you please as well. Although, the Saturday that I went, there wasn’t a great display of fish and the fish that was for the pickin’ was mediocre looking. The menu consists of the usual fish suspects, cod, salmon and halibut. They offer scallops and shrimp as well. I ordered the fish and chips for the hubby and shrimp and potato scallops for myself. The food is cooked to order and takes about 10 minutes. She tossed in a fried oreo cookie for the ride home. The food smelled delicious in the car but what fried food doesn’t. We got home and tore open the bags. The potato scallops were huge and thin. My husband loved them, I thought they were just ok. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and tasted good as did my husband’s fish. Overall, each meal is about $ 10 and worth the price. Nothing mind blowing but better than Seattle much loved Ivars.(Sorry, no hate mail Ivars cult)

One time hubby and I were driving past the gas station on 116th in Kent and noticed Naze’s Seafood very close by. Since we are seafood lovers, we decided to try it out. Pros are the staff is very friendly and knowledgable. It’s a clean establishment with blue walls, so you kind of feel like you are near the ocean which I think is cool. They have display cases so you can see their fish. Hubby and I both ordered their fish and chips and don’t get me wrong, the fish especially was excellent. Moist with yummy tarter sauce and the batter was a thin coating, not really greasy or totally overdone like some seafood restaurants. The cons and reasons it only gets two stars is there isn’t near enough seating, and they are far too pricey. I realize seafood is expensive, but their fish and chips costs more than Skippers, Ivar’s, or Dukes. Therefore we have not returned. We prefer Ivar’s.

Try the House Fish with scalloped potatoes It will be the best thing you’ve ever had! Throw in a deep fried Oreo cookie the make the perfect dessert. The owner is the nicest person you will meet and she explains all the food options. I can’t wait to try everything else on the menu.

I hate seafood but I was hungry and being Catholic and it was Friday I had to find a place to eat. Checked Unilocal and had good reviews. The owner recommended the house fish & chips for first timers and it was ‘on-point delicious’! Their house sauce was so good too eith fries or potatoe scallop. For dessert i had to try their fried oreos and THAT was also super good too. I’m sure I’ll be back to try other things on the menu. It’s also clean and the workers very friendly.

I never knew such a good little gem was in my hood. We arrived at 1 pm on a Saturday and there was only one other person in there. The gal behind the counter greeted us nicely. They have a seafood counter, but there wasnt much in it… but it looked fresh, and that is just what she used when we ordered. We all had the fish and chips(which is huge) ANDITISEXCELLENT! Two people can share an order of 3 Fish and Chips. Oh!!! They do charge extra for more tarter… BUT… their service was excellent. WE plan on going back for more!
