I have worked with Tiffany Carver at Rainier for 2 years and have always had exceptional service. They are fast, efficient, and their fees are minimal. They always treat my clients great!

Closing on a house requires a lot of documents to be signed and alot of work to going into making sure it all goes smoothly. The process is hard enough without the escrow company not knowing what their doing. The first problem started off when they didn’t have their courier get the documents where they needed to be on time. So now we have to extend our closing date, on the day we were supposed to close, because they didn’t have their job in order. We have already switched all of the utilities over to our name on a house that we now don’t even get to move into. Granted it’s only a day, but they should have given us noticed prior to the day of. Then after that, we got an additional call from them asking for another 300 $ because they screwed up what we owed. So now I have to cancel a meeting so I can run down and pay for another cashiers check, and run it down to them because they didn’t do their job in the first place. With all of this you would think that you’d get a sincere apology, but no of course not. If the seller/buyer asks you to use this company, I heartily recommend that you say no thanks and ask to use a company that knows what their doing.

Let’s see, we’re at T-minus 4 weeks until closing and these guys have already started dropping balls. Was warned against allowing the buyer to recommend these guys but didn’t want to upset the deal so I didn’t balk. I will say one thing – there aren’t too many jobs where messing up a single number or a date can screw so many people as a home closing. If you guys don’t have the skills to dot the I’s and cross the T’s, you don’t want to be in this business. And I’ll be happy to let everyone know if it all goes to hell in a hand basket. End of story: They did screw up. They left things to the last minute then harassed me to get things back to them. The highlight was the first call from a woman who said she was sending me «the whole package» to get the ball rolling. 2 weeks later I realize, «Hey, I haven’t seen any thing from those guys!» Call back and the 2nd woman can’t find a record of that call, but SHE will send me everything. I then get a call from a 3rd woman a few days later looking for some paperwork from me, but guess what– nothing has been sent to me yet. I call back and none of these people have any record of my having spoken to any of these other people. And someone was on vacation, so that was supposed to be the magical answer to it all. Balls dropped. No sense of personal responsibility. I do not recommend.

Subtracting two stars because they did indeed screw up the paperwork. They did not read the contract correctly and I ended up having to wire $ 2000 literally with four hours to spare before«close» even though I signed a WEEK prior. I was at work — a healthcare job — so it’s not easy to get away to deal with this at THEIR whim. How come there’s no discount(or even an apology) when you interrupt me at work seven days after I sign demanding $ 2000 within four hours(and my shift still has six hours left) or else my transaction won’t close?
