Ramada Kent Seattle Area

We were having a decent stay here until we found animal feces (not rodent) in our closet. I notified the front desk and only got an apology and was not even offered anything to rectify it. Not staying here ever again!

While they run to the airport, make sure you say you are flying. If you want to catch light rail downtown, they may refuse to take you. Manager (Brian) says to read the fine print on the website (which does not exist so he says you should have (somehow) asked before you book). Not exactly customer focused.
Up until this juvenile encounter with Brian, the other members of the staff (Cody, Danica) could not have been nicer or more accomodating. The two stars go to Brian.

Meh. Rooms are quite small and outdated. Affordable, but I’ve found better not far from here for roughly the same price.

It was fairly priced. Air in my room smelled a little like someone had sprayed air freshener and was stale, which I’m not a fan of, but the staff member at the front desk was very nice. I suspect the ac has a motion sensor which makes it turn off when no one’s around.

Amenities are very well taken care of — clean sheets, towels and neatly arranged fixtures. Only issue — the shower wall tiles looked like they had not been bleached or scrubbed in a while. There were dark telling marks of mold starting to accumulate. I did mention this to the front office staff upon checkout. Hopefully they rectify the situation. If not for anything else than to continue to draw folks info Mitzel’s Restaurant.
Check in and out was fairly quick and painless. Never got to try the breakfast, but I’m sure it’s good. Comfy beds, linens and good A/​C.
Have to mention kudos and gratitude for the super honest folks who found a piece of jewelry of ours and called us straightaway to let us know. In this day and age, it’s rare for anyone to get a call back about a missing item, much less jewelry. Thanks, Ramada Kent staff and management. Truly appreciate the honesty. Will return if ever in the area.

With record high heats and no AC at home, I decided to book a hotel room locally to give my family a break from the heat with AC and an outdoor pool. Unfortunately, most local hotels have indoor pools, so pickings were slim. I read the poor reviews online for this hotel, but I forged ahead with the reservation.
Upon walking into our suite room, we noticed the air was a bit muggy. The air conditioner unit was only in the bedroom, so you have to keep the door between the bedroom and front room open to get any cool air circulating. This wasn’t ideal, as our kids slept in the bedroom while we slept on the pull out sofa, so they were freezing, while we were warm during the night. In the first five minutes of being in the room, 1) I had to kill a spider on the bed, 2) I smelled a urine/​mildew smell when I went to use the bathroom and 3) discovered the hair dryer was broken. The carpet was SO black and dirty, we refused to let our kids take off their shoes or even let anything like towels/​clothes touch the ground.
Let me tell you why we stayed and why this is not a 1 star rating… the amenities. We had a back door that led right out to the outdoor pool, and I have to say the pool was awesome. It was the perfect depth for my kids (starting at 3 feet, so they could stand), and it was super duper clean. The water was not too cold, downright warm by the late afternoon, but it was still refreshing. And our bathing suits and towels did not smell like chlorine AT ALL. Additionally, the breakfast buffet was not a feast, by any means, but they had a couple of hot food offerings, cereal, bread and bagels, waffle machine, yogurt, fruit, juices, etc. It was definitely sufficient for our family’s breakfast needs before we hit the pool.
So, I would say that if you are prepared knowing it’s not a brand new facility or the cleanest of rooms, then you won’t be surprised. Would we stay here again? Not sure I can get past the dinginess and old age of the rooms, but our family had a blast in the pool and enjoyed breakfast for sure.

Terrible experience. The showers were cold the entire two day stay. The blow drier didn’t work or lamp. The Doors slam hard when you leave. Very loud in early morning. When I asked to speak to manager he walked away in the back room to let the hotel clerk handle it and said or did you nothing. Pick another hotel.

Pros: The staff is amazing! They are friendly, nice and helpful. The location is close off the highway and easy to get to. Their free breakfast is fairly decent and has a good selection of food to choose from. They have free dinner on Tuesday nights which is different than any other hotel I have stayed at.
Cons: The place is outdated. The fixtures are old and worn. The floors are dirty and feels grimy when you walk on it barefooted. They also creek a lot so make sure to stay on second floor. The shampoo and other soaps they supply are a very poor quality, make sure to bring your own.
All in all, it’s a decent stay. Just make sure you don’t pay full price because it is definitely not worth full price. I would pay NO MORE than $ 75/​$ 80 after taxes and fees. Anything over that is silly.

My stay probably would have been better if I was on the second floor. Since this hotel is older, the floors are very creaky and the walls thin. I could hear every step of the person upstairs… even with ear plugs in. When booking this hotel I saw the pictures and it looks nice. I think they may have taken the pictures in the «indoor» portion of the hotel. Yes, there is an indoor and outdoor. As a female, when i am staying by myself, I prefer to have the door to my room not lead directly to the outside. i was on the outside… so that was a disappointment. My room also must have been an old smoking room. I could faintly smell old smoke and my door didn’t have the normal no smoking on the door number. If you like to have the room ac/​fan/​heater going for white noise, think again. The unit only heats or cools using a thermostat… so you hear it constantly running and then shutting off. As previously noted the carpets are hideously disgusting. I tried walking barefoot and the feel of the carpet is almost slimy. My sink drained incredibly slow and was difficut to regulate the temperature of the water. On a positive note, the bed and pillows are super comfy. The shower has a great shower head with great water pressure. There is free wifi and free hot breakfast. There is a microwave/​fridge combo and nice tv with lots of channels. The location of the hotel is about a «block» from the freeway on ramp, so that is helpful. Also, not too far from the airport. Be warned though, the sign for the hotel is not real visible. I think this place must have been a holiday inn or something in the past, based on the shape and colored lights on the building, but the sign is just covered in a red tarp like ramada sign so it doesnt light up at night… so make sure you use that gps! I am giving 2 stars based on location, comfy bed, and price.

I had a great stay at Ramada Kent, contrary to the other two reviews here.
1. Front desk was helpful and friendly.
2. Free breakfast every morning had a slightly larger selection than others. (Country gravy anyone?)
3. Rooms were cleaned and serviced daily. Very prim and proper.
4. Amenities were all there — Grab bars in showers (for the oldies), shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, hair dryer, coffee, ice box, microwave, fridge, iron/​ironing board, full closet, A/​C, TV with cable channels, etc. They even had a gym on the second floor.
5. Noise was unheard of. We rarely heard anything from our neighbors except for the door opening and closing. The walls were thick enough to cover any excessive noise, which was a plus.
6. Rates were reasonable. They were slightly higher (~$ 15-​$ 20) than a nearby motel that looked downright shady.
7. Kent isn’t too far from Seattle and was perfectly located so that rates weren’t sky-​high.
8. Nothing of ours was stolen… :D
Although the room itself looked outdated, nothing was wonky nor did anything break during our stay at Ramada Kent. In the end, I’d stay here again for my next trip to Seattle.

Ramada Kent is an old hotel and poorly maintained. Dirty carpets, holes in walls, and worn restroom and bathtub. I stayed to nights and first night I could not sleep well because room smelled slightly to tobacco. I asked staff for a new room and I was granted it. When moving my stuff to the new room, the previous room door lock stopped working and I was locked out for almost 3 hours.
During this time, the staff was hostile whenever I tried to inquire about the status (I was hungry, it was already 11pm and my dinner was inside my room)
When tried to contact the manager it turns out there is no night manager. Only one day manager that asks «not to be disturbed until next day»
Be careful, never use hotwire superdiscount «mistery hotel» option. That option indicated this is a 3 star hotel but it is more of a 1.5 to 2 star hotel.

Arrived in Seatac airport at 12midnight and I called the hotel for shuttle pickup. The Shuttle arrived in 15 – 20 mins. The Shuttle driver and the front desk people were nice. The hotel room looks nice and clean but the reason I gave only 3 star because my son feet turn black. «The floor looks clean but actually very dirty.» I wore sandal all the time.
I love the complimentary breakfast every morning.
Budget rent car is only 1 block from the hotel. 5 mins walking. Cheaper then rent a car at the airport. (Book online)
I hope they can do something with the dirty floor.
