Staff is extremely rude. Nothing else to say. Take YOUR money somewhere else where you will be appreciated.

WARNING! — this place does not use liners in their soaking tubs and overall does not seem sanitary ATALL! For a pedicure, when they are finished with the customer, they use what looks like liquid soap to wipe down the soaking tub wiping it down with the same towel they just used for your feet. They also splash the blue water that your feet were soaking, on your legs and feet to re-moisturize the massage oil during your foot massage, massaging that dirty water into your legs — YUCK! Will never go back.

Went in with nails I needed fixed from another bad shop and got crooked, off center nails. Left hand is the worst but to make this bad nail job worse, they don’t paint down far enough. The next day after the fill, you can see it looks like I’ve got a 5 day grow out already. Smh.

Unpleasant experience! Avoid this place! Very rude ladies. Do not listen and do not pay attention. Lady did not ask and cut my nail, told her 3 times to not cut while she was getting ready, did not hear me until i took my hand and screamed… too late half of nail was gone. Had to shorten all of the nils to make it even. When asked for manager was told to «we will fix it» and lady suggested to do fake nails if i want longer nail?! Ladies talk between each other and pay ZERO attention to their work and customers! Not coming back!

I came here for the first time moving to Kent and because this is the closest nail shop to me I decided to give them a chance, I read the reviews and it wasn’t that great but hey I was in a rush… so first off they did an alright job but within a few days I needed a fill, broke 2 nails and noticed that one of my nails were crooked !! so I stopped going to them for a couple of months and decided to give them one more chance two weeks ago… although this time I only broke one nail i was just not satisfied on how fast I needed a fill again… I have been to plenty of nail shops and kno that a good nail shop you wouldn’t need a fill for about 2 weeks 3 if they’re really good, but this one I feel like she does it on purpose so that you can come back every week!!! so I will not be going back to this nail shop and that is why I give it a one star I will go elsewhere with better ratings the lady’s name was Vivian BTW…

I have come to TJ’s once or twice for a pedicure didn’t care for it and actually go someplace else. My daughter goes to TJ’s to be waxed mostly because they do a really good job getting all of her legs and not just spots and are reasonably priced however she will not be going back. The last time she was there about two weeks ago we noticed the wax was a dark tar looking color but we went with it. It was really too hot for application and they kept burning her even after she told them it is too hot and the next day she developed a rash, she was itching for 3 days. I don’t know what the new wax product was but she had a allergic reaction, she is thankful it was just her legs and not her face she had waxed.

I wish I could put negative stars. I beg you, PLEASEDON’T GOHERE! This is the worst nail salon I HAVEEVERBEENTO. They did not listen to me, when I expressed that my nails weren’t what I asked for they treated me like crap. I cannot believe the service I just received there. I went in for a fill and i like my nails with round square edges. The girl doing my nails filed them down to POINTS. Now, when I say points I don’t mean just a little too round. When I said that was not what I asked for she got an attitude and had(I assume) the owner come over. Who then asked, why don’t I have a picture? A PICTURE? I have been getting my nails done for a long time and explaining that I want square nails with rounded edges has always been sufficient and needed no picture. So then she decides to try and fix the missing edges by adding acrylic to just the edges. So, my acrylic nails are now falling apart. 15 min after getting my nails done the corners are just falling off… sweet.

Love TJ nails, especially Vivian the owner. Great at designs too! The shellac from here lasts at least two weeks.

This salon used to be decent enough that I actually went here. But it is terrible now. I came in for a mani-pedi and had to wait 20 minutes for her to even start(there was no one else in the salon). When she finally started, and i asked for a certain color«it won’t look good, your nails short, it’s not good» like seriously? And when she started filing my nails. MAJOROW! It hurt so bad and she made me bleed when she was snipping. When massaging my hands, i got all scratched up by her long nails. So not careful at all. Very unprofessional. The customer care is horrible. Never ever coming back here, I’m just gonna stick to my favorite salon in covington. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone at all.

I’ve been on the fence about the rating for this place. I have had some good experiences here, the ladies are very friendly. After today, though, I will not be back… I asked for a French manicure with shellac, black tips, and glitter over the top. I even provided a picture. I had to ask her to use the brush to make a clean line for the tip! She seemed indignant that I asked her, and they’re still not clean lines. The brush that she had to add the glitter was messed up, so pretty much only ¾ of my nail has the glitter on it, there’s a stripe down each side that is bare. This place does okay for the very simple stuff. Pedicures are not bad, and if you are looking for a basic manicure they would probably do fine. Just don’t expect much if you ask for something even slightly out of the box.

This was a great place when James owned it. Now that he has sold it to Vivian, the quality has gone down. Looking for a new place to go

Nice salon that’s close to home. It’s also in a good location too, right in the Safeway plaza, next to Starbucks and Phở 7. I don’t get my nails done often and when I do I only get pedicures done, but the place also offers shellac and gel nails from what I’ve seen. The color selection isn’t as VAST as I’d like it to be, but it suffices for those on the go or in a rush to get something done. They’re also fast, super nice and add super cute $ 5 designs that take them only a split second. Let’s not forget the massage chairs. Unnnnghhhh… Massage chair’s always mean that extra star in my book.

Thought I would try them, as they are open on Sunday and very close to my home. Went it, got in right away — but the fill they did was horrible. Very thick, and gave me very bad red lines where they filed too deep. Ugly UGLYUGLY nails now.

I stopped by TJ Nails without an appointment on a Saturday afternoon hoping to get a Shellac polish & toe polish. I thought I’d have to wait but no, James got me right in & did an amazing job. The Shellac light they use has a faster curing time then most of the other places I’ve been! Then Kelly polished my toes and did a great job as well. Friendly, fast services and I felt the price was very fair! This was my first time there and I’ll definitely be back!
