I bought three Large pizza to take to da camp in Basswood. Our ten friends enjoyed the food and gave great reviews. Recommended. If you have a large order, better call ahead as each is prepared and cooked individually. The environment… well having spent part of each year in the UP for 70 years, it is what I expected, but to those new to the area it provides a look into yesteryear when da UP was much more vibrant, hey!
I talked to one of the owners (has a strange, but friendly dog). Appreciates the area. He’s left handed — what does that have to do with anything?- It’s tough to flip a pizza when your right hand is burned by bacon grease!
And then there are the «locals». the regulars who have there own story. The truckers, the foreign folks, the bikers and the passersby…
I recommend you visit. If in the area, you can’t find a better place within 50 miles… or ANY place within 50 miles.

Classic UP bar atmosphere (including copper chunks laminated into the bar), friendly service, good hamburgers made to order. A few microbrews available. Staff seem genuinely concerned about your enjoyment. Occasionally late at night, when the half-​gallon liquor jugs have been busy, the atmosphere can get a bit colorful. 90% of the time though this is a friendly, low key bar that makes you want to become a regular the first time you walk in the door.

Crestwood, KY
Saw the signs along the road on the way to Trout Creek for an overnight stay at the local motel. We laughed all the way at the name. I know they named it for the Upper Peninsula but, they had to know. It’s a great attention getter. We stopped in and had a beer. Nice atmosphere and good, cold beer.

Awesome place! A perfect stop on your snowmobile venture or a great ending to a day of fishing. They have clean rooms available if the alcohol ticker hits «one too many» or you need a base camp for your U-​P adventures. I highly recommend this great mash of fun and banter amongst the mixed group of beer drinking world philosophers!
