Both the owners and the staff are stunningly knowledgable. They almost always have someone available to answers questions at length. I keep bees and am very sensitive about what I bring into the yard. Their plants are safe and they know what will work for what type of area. Can’t say enough great things about these guys.

Probably the best thing in Kerhonkson. If you’re into gardening you should check this place out. They are on a sort of back road and there is not a lot of signage, but it’s worth finding. Incredible variety of plants and really nice sculpture items. The best thing is their knowledge. I’ve been to tons of nurseries and most workers can only answer the most basic questions, not here, you get great information from people who know what they are talking about. There is something peaceful about being there (although they have a sweet little dog that likes to bark loudly at incoming cars) and it’s a nice change from the usual shopping experience where you are either ignored or get the feeling the business just wants your money. When friends come and visit me I always take them over to this place, even if we just walk around and look at the many plants, there’s no sales pressure. You can tell the owners are passionate about what they do and believe in you as a gardener, no matter how much of a pro or novice you might be. I think the prices are about 10−20% less than other places, which is great for a plant addict like me.
