What an insult to the public. This store is overpriced, I walked in if I was a ghost, that is how helpful the staff was when it was practically empty of customers. I have been to other Officemax stores and they have staff that will help you find what you are looking for and understand your needs. Not here, unless you ask someone and have to break it down to them. I have no time for a store like this, so I will no way give them my business.

Haven’t worked here for a while. The awful manager that caused 90% of the staff to leave is now gone, which is good. But would only buy from here if I couldn’t wait a couple days from Amazon prime.

Absolutely incompetent teenage staff. The cashier could not turn off the witty banter in his his Garth Brooks style headset long enough to pay attention to my purchase.
He took great time to inspect that my $ 5 bill was not counterfeit, but shortchanged me by a dollar. He proceeded to argue that «math is not my my strong suit».
He still refused to refund my dollar even after I went through the transaction on a calculator, with his manager standing over. Worse, the manager seemed paralyzed to help. I eventually told them to keep the dollar, lose a customer.

Went into Office Max yesterday to buy a cable to connect my tablet to my TV. I found what I needed without any of the employees offering to help me. The item did not have a price on it and it was the only one that fit my needs so I grabbed it and went to the register. That’s when I found out it was nearly $ 50! Certainly won’t be shopping at Office Max for anything like this again. I could have and should have gone to Walmart or Radio Shack.
Worst of all the cashier didn’t say thank you. I just paid his salary for the day with one 2 minute transaction and he didn’t have the decency to say thank you. That is just wrong!!!

The staff here make this store. They are so helpful, knowledgeable — and patient! I bought several items which had to be returned because they didn’t fit in my home office, and they cheerfully helped me unload them and gave me a refund. They explained MaxPerks which gives me a discount on future purchases — it pays off! And, they will match prices if you find it cheaper on their internet site. Great job!
