Stopped and had some ice cream; looks like a popular local place, quite a few people there; down home friendly atmosphere

Looking for a tasty country style meal? This is a great place to stop! The menu is filled with your typical country style offerings divided between breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bantam Chef offers affordable and friendly service, a small but delicious buffet of homemade food, hand dipped ice cream, and some massive hamburgers. If you’re in the area and you’re hungry, give them a try!

Fresh country cooking!!! Helps that it’s located about 3 miles from Carolina Motorsports Park. Great breakfast, and a pretty good(considering) lunch.

You pull into this place, having been told by several race friends that they have the best to-go breakfast in town. I pulled in for dinner after a long day of driving. It’s a throwback: vinyl tableclothes, high school age waitresses(okay, maybe college), dinky little salad bar, sweet potato fries, real sweet tea, hamburger steaks. This is a rinky dink little Southern diner. For what I expected, what I got was delic’, filling, and just what I needed. Okay, they won’t make the Food Network anytime soon, but since there were so many people there every time I passed by, they clearly have a lot of loyal clientele. What’s not to like? And the waitress was a dear.
