Menominee Casino Resort

Oh where to start… I haven’t been to this casino in about 12 years, but I was in the area over the holiday and decided to swing in. Here’s what I’ve learned:
The good stuff:
Employees were very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean.
The bad stuff:
This is a very small casino with very tight slot machines. All casinos are smokey, but this one is extremely smokey, even in the non smoking area. I’m a smoker, and it was bothering me. Also on that note, cigarettes can only be purchased out of a vending machine, and there are limited options.
The other stuff:
They had a live band. It wasn’t great, wasn’t bad. It kept the drunk people entertained. The dance floor is tiny, so these people are wedged in by some slot machines. It makes it kind of difficult to get past them. The rewards program: They gave me $ 5. Rewards play for opening an account. I played (and lost instantly) $ 80. In slot machines. I earned $ 1.00.
There are a lot of other casinos in the area. There really is no reason to go back to this one.

My family went to the casino on a Monday night (Senior Day). It wasn’t very crowded and most were 65+ (I’m 50). I only played Black Jack ($ 5 pitch) and Let It Ride. The dealers were friendly and deserved their tips. Free soda and coffee was available. I wish the Craps and Roulette table was open. Monday nights they offer an all you can eat $ 5 senior buffet at their sit down restaurant. It included a nice salad bar and broasted chicken dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes and vegetables. However, their service was terrible and it wasn’t even busy. Although they had 5 – 6 wait staff hanging out and chatting at the entrance, we couldn’t get anyone to bring us water or a beverage until well after we had eaten our salad. We even went up to the group of waitresses and asked kindly to be served and it still took an additional 10 minutes! This is why I only gave 2 stars. I won’t be back for a while.

Great food, clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff, excellent cocktails. All the amenities you expect from a Vegas style casino in this great little property.
