I have had a few visits to Dr. Greenberg’s office for a couple of emergency root canals. I was in extreme pain and went to my regular dentist, and they told me I would need a root canal and referred me to an endodontist. I called that endodontist the next day for an emergency root canal and they told me they did not have any openings. I informed them that it was an emergency but they were not accomodating. After a google search, I found Dr. Greenberg’s office, and although they were busy, they fit me in that day. I am forever thankful for them! The desk staff was very nice and the entire office visit was quick and (relatively ;)) painless. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs to have a root canal done! Thank you again Dr. Greenberg and staff!!!

Fantastic experience. Yes, we’re talking about a root canal, here.
I seriously would rather have a root canal done here, than have a deep cleaning at my normal dental office.
Why? Because it was fast and painless. (It will most likely take two separate visits, however.)
First off, Corey, in particular, at the front desk was extremely friendly, and genuinely concerned about my situation. She made me feel very comfortable, and is truly an asset to this dental practice.
The other dental assistants, also, of equal value to this practice, were sure to greet me with a smile, and made me feel very at ease as they seated me in the chair of their modern, clean examination rooms.
Next, as I meet Dr. Greenberg for the first time, he greeted me with a firm, assuring handshake, and got right down to business, as he explained my situation, and what it was going to require. He numbed me up real good, and I watched some TV and chatted with the assistant for a few minutes, waiting for the Novocain to kick in.
Then we began. Throughout the amazingly painless, and very quick procedure, he was sure to ask me if I was ok, or in any discomfort. And then it was over. Just like that. And just the way it should be. I do suffer from a little bit of anxiety. at times, but I didn’t feel any of that during my procedure! I attribute that to the speed and accuracy, and the way the procedure kept moving along without any uncomfortable long pauses, which often create unnecessary worry when I am in a dental chair. Totally professional and quick. And my tooth feels great, now!
The office is located in a very nice looking building, close to transportation. But be warned, parking is absolutely horrible in this area. Actually, it’s horrible in all of Kew Gardens, so save yourself a headache. Get an Über car there. Or take the subway, or LIRR, all in close walking distance.
By the way, they accepted my very mediocre insurance, and had a very fair and reasonable co-​pay, compared to the prices I checked around at other practices before deciding on Dr. Greenberg.
I am glad I did. And I will refer this office to any of my friends that may ever need the services of an Endodontist.

I was referred to Dr. Greenberg by my dentist– Dr. Polanski. I had a root canal which was originally fixed in Eastern Europe and as a result I developed a terrible infection. Dr. Greenberg informed me right away that he does not guarantee he’ll be able to save my tooth but assured me he will do his best. He placed a temporary filling and had me follow up in three months with a repeat xray to see if the infection is improving. Unfortunately I developed an abscess which required I&D (wonderfully handled by Dr. Kalman). After my 3 month follow up visit, Dr. Greenberg was concerned the area is still showing an infection and had me follow up in 3 months. I saw him as a follow up last week and I’m happy to say he saved my tooth! I was very happy with his care, his secretary-​Corey was wonderful! They were very accomodating when I had to reschedule my appointment due to my work schedule. I would highly recommend him if you’re looking for an endodontist who is fast and good in his field.

I was referred to Dr. Greenberg by my dentist because I needed a root canal and apparently my dentist doesn’t do that part (this was the first root canal I have ever had). In retrospect, I’m very very glad my dentist sent me here and didn’t do the root canal herself.
The pros: The office takes my union insurance, the desk staff was friendly and helpful in person and on the phone, they called the following day to ask how I was feeling (though my answer didn’t matter…“try tylenol…”), he seemed very experienced, and appeared efficient at it (either that or he couldn’t stand me and wanted me out of there asap).
The cons: He is very difficult to talk to and express your concerns to. He interrupted me as I was trying to tell him about my chronic facial pain and ask how I could minimize the pain the second time around after severe pain after the first appointment. My pain likely had nothing to do with his skills, but I’m not sure he read the dozen pages I filled out about my history of facial pain, tmj, and chronic migraine that often manifests in my jaws… If I were a dentist/​endodontist, that could be helpful information I would think.
So if you have crappy insurance and don’t mind a doctor who won’t listen to you and don’t have particular issues you’d like the doctor to know, I’m assuming it’s as fine as any other place. It was quick and easy at least. I was in and out in 35 min.

I was so afraid prior to going for this root canal as I never had one in the past but heard of stories. I must say that Dr. Greenberg and the staff at this practice were awesome. The staff called to remind me of my appointment, they explained things, asked questions and reassured me of how the procedure will go. The procedure itself was a breeze! I did not feel a thing! Dr. Greenberg and all his assistants were great! I really appreciate them and their service!

Just to add on, I ended up visiting another root canal specialist who determined I did in fact NOT need a root canal! I visited an oral surgeon who confirmed my bump was a piece of extra tissue. I still have it and it no longer bothers me. THANK god I didn’t let this moron ruin my tooth!

Recently went to Dr Greenberg for a second opinion. My dentist discovered that one my teeth was in «resorption» I had never heard of such a thing.

I was referred to Dr. Greenberg from my oral surgeon — Kalman Oral Surgery & Implant Center. Dr. Greenberg carefully listened to my issues, asked me detailed questions and spoke to me that made me feel immediately at ease. Let’s be honest, if you are seeing a specialist for your teeth, your a little on edge and more than likely in a great deal of pain.
Dr. Greenberg re-​treated a root canal that was performed by my general dentist. It had become severely infected and my dentist told me that I was not only going to lose the tooth, I was going to lose the adjacent teeth as well due to the severity of the infection. This was simply not the case and Dr. Greenberg was cautiously optimistic and retreated the root canal.
The procedure was pain-​free, stress free and efficient. I could not be happier with Dr. Greenberg and he exceeded my expectations.
I have a follow up appointment next week and I know this sounds weird — I am looking forward to it as I trust him immensely and now know what to expect. Thanks Dr. Greenberg!

My husband and I were both referred to Dr. Greenberg at different times this year for a root canal. Dr. Greenberg is patient, caring and professional. Our procedures were entirely painless and Dr. Greenberg and his staff cared for us and reassured us. I was extremely nervous as this was my first and only root canal and I was treated with respect and care. Top notch office!

Stay away. The only way I can describe this office is morose. Nobody speaks to you. They have tv sets In each room to facilitate the fact that nobody especially the dr. Wants to talk to you. I was sent by my dentist because of an infection in my tooth and dr. Greenberg just had me coming back about 4 or 5 times for five minute checks and the would tell me to come back the following week. Eventually he performed an apico which ultimately failed after less than 6 months. My own dentist told me they should last 7 or 8 years. I believe this guy is angry and incompetent to boot. Stay away and beware the tv set

Nobody ever wants an endodontist, but if you need a root canal, this is the doctor you want!
Doctor and staff are very professional, accommodating and very accessible. Open 5 days a week,
the office is located on the first floor of a prewar building across the street from the E/​F train.
Street parking is scarce but there is a garage across the street, costs about $ 10 dollars.
Once Dr. Greenberg determines that you actually need a root canal, he will get right to work.
Before you know it, your mouth will be numb, you will be fully reclined, your problem tooth will be isolated with some kind of dental contraption and you will be on the road to recovery. Pain is minimal as he numbs you up well.
My mouth was sore the next couple a days but nothing compared to the excruciating pain I felt before treatment.
Procedure takes two visit. Be on time or call in advance if you are going to be late. 24 hours cancellation policy applies.
