Archie’s on Key Biscayne has horrible customer service!!! I recently ordered a pizza for delivery to enjoy with my family, however the server taking my order over phone kept on charging me the wrong amount. In addition the guy could barely speak any English, so I asked to speak to the manager to resolve the issue. The guy then told me off and spoke very rudely to me and told me to take my business to dominos! I will never ordering from this restaurant again!!!

Awesome place. Sad that they closed the one in the Gables. Their bread is really good. The Archie’s lasagna is delicious. One of the best lasagnas in my opinion. The buffalo wings were not too exciting. Barely any chicken.

This place is underrated. Pizza excellent and so was lobster ravioli. Service was also excellent. Will definitely come here more often.

Service was too slow but food was good. I had a prosciuto & mozzarella panini, no complaints about it. A little too expensive but everything is expensive in Key Biscayne. Thanks. Enjoy !!!

This place has progressively gotten worse. Service is slow. No condiments brought out. No bread. Dirty cups of water. A lasagna has taken well over an hour(still here waiting for it). The food is not bad and the prices are reasonable but the service has gotten awful. Probably won’t be coming here again unless I hear some serious improvements have been made.

I love pizza, but I was disappointed in Archie’s pizza. I called in on a Monday night around 6PM for a couple pizzas to be delivered. I knew it was the height of dinner time orders, but I didn’t expect the delivery to take over an hour like it did, especially considering I’m located less than a mile away. Surprisingly, the pizza was delivered cold… but after microwaving it, it was decent. I wished it had more sauce, and there was a lot of dry crust that I didn’t find tastey at all. In fairness to Archie’s, my dad loves their pizza: he gets it every time he’s in Key Biscane. He disagrees with this review. I told him he should download Unilocal and review it himself!

Not what it used to be, small pizzas and pasta portions, slow service and some serious health hazard with cables /light fixtures in the bathrooms. This place is in need of serious make over.

My family and I went to dinner at Archie’s last week and had a great experience all around. The food was excellent with very good quality ingredients. We had the oven roasted chicken wings which were fantastic and are a healthier option than typical deep fried chicken wings. The Nico’s Goat Cheese Pizza was also delicious and bursting with flavor. Archie’s is very kid-friendly with many options including individual kid-size pizzas. The service was great and waitstaff was friendly. Looking forward to our next visit!

My friend and I went here for lunch and it was great for some post-beach sustenance. I got the cranberry Gorgonzola salad with grilled chicken — greens, homemade carmelized pecans, cranberries, gorgonzola, and a raspberry vinaigrette, add chicken for $ 4. The salad itself was very good and the ingredients fresh, the creaminess of the cheese went perfectly with the crunch of pecans and savoriness of the chicken. I got the small salad which was $ 10, so altogether my meal was $ 14, which is a pretty steep price for a small salad. The service could have been better. I asked for dressing on the side and they put it on the salad anyway. Also they were out of chicken(which we thought was weird) and only had enough for my salad, so my friend got the steak and noodle salad instead of the chicken panini she originally wanted. What was a big portion size was the soup– my friend got a small tomato soup which came in a huge bowl. Overall, this place is great for a light lunch, but you are definitely paying more for flavor than for size.

Absolutely the worst service in any restaurant that I have ever eaten. Not only would they never bring silverware or plates, but also the waitress was the rudest person with the ugliest attitude that I have ever witnessed. If you want to be treated poorly and leave upset, eat at Archie’s.

This place is a health hazard!!! Went In yesterday with the family and as we asked for a booster seat I watch the waitress and owner(or manager short little guy) do the Mexican tap dance trying to kill the roaches that fled the scene! He wouldn’t even sit people at the table closest too him for the reason he was hiding his roach problem…: then he comes out while customers are eating and decides it would be a great idea to spray bug kill in the open air. Had a corona and left was appalled by the rude staff and house full of roaches

We went in hopeful for a good pizza and ended up with food poisoning. The place was empty which should have been my first clue. Got the Archie’s pizza… it was so amazingly salty. Service was sub par. There are better places to get pizza on the island.

I am so highly dissapointed with this restaurant. Just waisted $ 21 on the shittiest quality salad. I have been coming here for four years now, and coming back today, I am guessing they were taken over with new management looking at the new staff, layout, and manager. Today, I ordered a pickup for a Greek Salad with chicken(which is $ 4 extra) over the phone, WITHOUT Feta Cheese(for the reason that I am highly allergic.) When I have arrived, and received my salad, I noticed SO many things wrong with it. First, I looked at it, and told myself… how is THIS $ 21 dollars… There was BARELY any chicken on it, at least the amount that is not worth $ 4. Clearly, they wanted me to die today for I saw that there was Feta Cheese in my salad. When I asked the manager who was standing next to me if they got my order correct and showed him there was feta cheese and reminded him about how i ordered it without feta cheese because i am highly allergic, he was quick to fix it. I let it slide. but When i received it back, I remembered from the description of the salad all the vegetables they were missing. By the time I got everything fixed from the chicken, vegetables, dead and rotten lettuce, I was thirty minutes late to class and came out of Archies knowing I will never go back again. I’m surprised how this restaurant has not closed yet with the pop up of all the new and REAL Bistro Menu restaurants on the key. To end this, I knew I should have went to Artisan and get the greek salad there… better price, better quality. Take my advice and do not go here. bad quality of food, management, and definitely not worth the money you’re paying for. I only gave one star because I have to.

It’s a shame that the service here is so crummy because the pizza is pretty good. I can’t speak to pasta dishes as I have only had pizza, but they do have a full Italian menu. This is the 3rd time I have visited and after this visit, I really felt compelled to write. I was hoping that things would get better, but they just don’t. The service is slow and the servers are inattentive and aloof. Please believe the others when they say the service is bad because truly, it is! We asked for red pepper flakes and had 2 shakers with Italian herbs put on our table. I think I saw our waiter twice during our entire dining experience and it was a looooong one because the food took forever and a day to come out. All we had were 3 pizzas and it took almost an hour. The restaurant, by the way, was empty. There were maybe 3 other families there besides us. I ordered a pizza with light cheese and it was waaaaaaaay cheesy. It had the same amount as the other pizza that was ordered with regular cheese. I am surprised this establishment has not taken these reviews to heart and done something about their sub-par service. It’s really too bad.

There is something on the menu for everyone’s palate. They will make pasta any way you want it. Pizza is awesome. especially the fresh vegetable! Service can be slow at times because they do a lot of take out and delivery. Salads are fantastic! Highly recommend.

I came here for a quick bite at 4pm on a Thursday. The dining room was empty and there were two small parties seated outdoors. We sat ourselves inside and despite the three employees standing just a few feet away, I had to get up to get myself a menu. About 10 minutes later someone came to get our drink order. Ten minutes later we got our drinks and ordered. The server came back almost 10 minutes later to tell me they were out of ravioli so, being in a hurry, I quickly changed my order. The food arrived quickly after that and was tasty enough; but at $ 15 for a bowl of pasta, I would hope so. When the food came out, I asked for bread and was told they were«out of bread». Oddly enough, the two parties outside both had baskets of bread on their tables. Before we were finished with our meal, we were presented with the check. No one asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. Needless to say, that was fine with me at that point. I had told my daughter about their delicious brownie dessert before we got there, as I used to be a regular lunch customer, and had every intention of ordering it, until the check arrived mid-meal. After about another 10 minutes of sitting at the table waiting for the waitress to come get my credit card, I finally just got up and brought her the card myself. She came to my table a few seconds later to tell me the computers were down so she would either need to take down my cc info or I would need to pay in cash. So I told her I preferred to pay in cash, but I had to get it from my car. I got up to go to my car but couldn’t find my phone. The waitress had taken my phone and walked away! When I went to retrieve my phone, she told me she took it so I wouldn’t leave without paying. What?!? Trust me, I understand the reasoning, but how about asking me before you take my phone? When I came back with the cash, the owner or manager offered to take the ATM fee off the check. I told him I had the cash in the car and, regardless, that was the least of the many problems with my visit. He was apologetic and offered a free brownie to compensate us for the poor service, but by that time, my mind was already made up. I will not return to this restaurant and do not recommend it. There are plenty of other options on the Key.

I was here at the beginning of January, and stayed across the street at the Ritz Carlton. I found the whole Key had pretty awful dining options(extremely overpriced and not many appeal to an English-speaking family from the Midwest, let’s just put it that way). Anyway, we went to Archie’s our last night and had a great experience. The server was great, the food was great, and they didn’t even blink when we asked if our daughter could get pasta with melted butter instead of olive oil. I had a sausage pizza and my wife had a cheese ravioli dish. Both were excellent.

Decent food, terrible service. I came in with 2 friends and placed a to-go order. We had some other friends who were going to call in their order and have us pick it up for them at the same time. Easy, right? Well with the amount of attitude we were given from the server you would have thought we were asking for the moon. The server became confused immediately at our fairly simple situation(the 2 orders were even the exact same — large cheese pizza and mozzarella sticks) and proceeded to get angry. She was bad mouthing my group in the restaurant and our friends who had called in to the cook in Spanish. Really? Bad mouthing customers in Spanish, in Miami, while they stand 5 feet away? We all understood every word she was saying, so that was real slick on her part. In the end we got our food fairly quickly, even though the 2 identical orders rang up to 2 different amounts, and enjoyed it enough. Too bad the server soured us all on the entire experience.

Food quality was decent but when we placed our to go order, our server misunderstood what we had requested and when I attempted to correct her, I received an eye roll and she slammed the menu down. She then proceeded to bad mouth us in Spanish to every employee she possible could, including the cook who was yelling back and forth with her. Everyone in my party is either a Hispanic or speaks fluent Spanish and we couldn’t believe it. I will NEVER return here and will be sure to let everyone I know how nasty these employees were.

I’ve just stopped by to grab something to go and I asked for a pizza and the server goes and tells me that It will take 25 mins ?? I said ok no worries I’ll take a panini instead I don’t have much time and he said one second I have to ask the chef who is right behind the counter and he started screaming, then the server comes and says 20 mins??? I said you know what I’ll just take a juice… ohh sorry we don’t have the flavor … Never coming back, I just drove from Aventura to waste my time. Very disapointed!

My husband and I are foodies, and since we are in our 20s, you can expect that we love a good pizza. We were so happy to find a «gourmet» pizza place on our trip to Key Biscayne last weekend! The location of the place is great. When we walked in to the restaurant, we were barely greeted and told to seat ourselves as the guys working zoned into the Heat game on Sunday. The waiter eventually brought out our waters, which both(I SWEAR) smelled like wet dogs. I’ve recently moved from the north, and this is something that happens even in my own home… must just be the difference in water here. I can’t judge a restaurant based on that alone. My husband went to the restroom and when he returned, I was already reaching in the bread they had brought to the table. The bread was good. It was a bit doughy, the olive oil dip only had black pepper in it(no garlic or herbs), and the bread was straight up cold like it had just come from the refrigerator. I told my husband that was kind of strange, but it seemed homemade and it had a good flavor, so we(again) weren’t too concerned. My husband told me that the men’s bathroom was weird. I asked him to describe what he meant and he couldn’t. A bit unusual. We were torn between a few pizza options and we decided to go with the sausage and peppers pizza. When the«14 inch» pizza came out(which looked more like a 10 inch) we were discouraged to find that the sausage seemed more like sausage crumbles that you would find in a package of Lunchables(I don’t think they have sausage, but the quality was that poor). We had been expecting freshly grilled and chopped Italian sausage from links cooked in the restaurant, considering this place calls themselves gourmet. We both ate a couple pieces and, bored with our meal, we ready to head to the beach. Before we went, I decided to use the restroom. I WISH I HADGONEINTOTHEBATHROOMBEFOREWEHADEVENORDERED! When I walked behind the doors of the women’s bathroom, I was welcomed by 1 bathroom stall. Not so unusual… except that, outside of the stall, to the left of the door, I saw a Domino sugar bag. Now, why would they store sugar in the PAPER bag in the bathroom. Have you ever seen wet paper? That is not going to protect the sugar from bathroom water and other bacteria. I was also disgusted to find that they stored their wheat and white flower in a large container, ALSOINTHEWOMEN’S BATHROOM! If you don’t believe me, GO there for yourself! I’m sure that once they read this review, they will remove it, so check out my photos. I was SOOO disgusted. Can it possibly be legal to store food ingredients in the bathroom?! NO! The health department better get on this ASAP. I don’t even want to know what their kitchen looks like! When I returned to the table, my husband told me that we had been charged $ 16 for our FAR-FROM-GOURMET pizza rather than the $ 15 listed on the menu. Rather than arguing, we paid it and got far, far away.
