Excellent local business here on Key Biscayne. I was running a charity 5k and I came in at the last minute and they did my a massive favor anad printed my logos on my own shirt for nothing. Free. Zilch. Always support your local stores because when they are gone and you have to drive to the mall and end up wanting to kill someone, then you realise you should have shopped local. Well equiped, great tennis stringing service, what more can I say. I love this shop.

I’m picky about my sports apparel and I find that sometimes the big chain stores do not have what I want/need in stock. I am pretty loyal to my local athletic stores and browse often to see if anything new has come in. When I recently came into Island Athletics I was pleased to find an assortment of running clothes as well as other things I didn’t even know I wanted or needed. The staff here is super friendly and will help you find what you need. There is a nice quality assortment of tennis, running, surf/swim and other sports gear for men, women and KIDS. I had no idea that they made professional quality athletic apparel for KIDS! Along with clothing, the store appears stocked in shoes as well as other accessories. If you find yourself on Key Biscayne, you should definitely stop by and take a peek at their inventory!

A real, old town, local sports store that carries lots of stuff. If they don’t have it they will gladly order it and have it shipped directly to your home. All the employees are nice and knowledgeable. Every town needs stores like this and every town that has this type of store needs to support it otherwise you are forced to go to Sports Authority, et al.

For sporting goods on Key Biscayne, Island Athletics is the place to go. They have a broad selection of tennis rackets and encourage people to test them out before making a final decision. The staff is friendly and the store is constantly busy. My only recommendation is to consider buying a racket before May. Unless you have access to indoor courts, the summer can be too hot, and unpredictable weather in August and September makes it difficult to abide by a two-day demo policy.
