I wanted to take my son out for a day of fishing in Biscayne Bay and after calling around for strong referrals and searching the internet for an experienced guide, I called Captain Alex of Miami Inshore Fishing Charters.
We weren’t disappointed!
The day was spectacular for sure, not a cloud in the sky and water like glass (crystal clear for 20 feet, like an aquarium) and Captain Alex knew right where to go. We started by catching our own bait, when Captain Alex patiently taught my son to cast the net; he was thrilled. There was so much activity around the bait ball the Captain hooked up a line for my son and casted in, immediately, my son was battling a large Mutton Snapper-​the first of many fish throughout the day.
While fishing we saw big stingrays and sharks and even lobsters crawling along the bottom of the crystal clear water. At slack tide, Captain Alex rolled up on a nearby, pristine sandbar to jump out of the boat to cool off. Way too much to talk about and can’t say enough about the storied day.
