Super fresh sushi and excellent service! They have an extensive menu which includes Japanese food as well as Thai food. The fish tasted very fresh, probably because of the Key Biscayne location, so it’s right by the water. I got the Beauty and the Beast roll with brown rice($ 1.75 upcharge), which was half tuna, half eel, with scallions, avocado, asparagus, and masago with eel sauce. The crunch of asparagus perfectly complimented the creaminess of the avo and fish, and the eel sauce was on point. The roll itself was $ 12.95, which is not a bad price for 10 pieces. I wish the upcharge for brown rice wasn’t so steep, but I guess that’s the price of staying healthy. The service was incredible! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, and our food came out surprisingly fast, despite the fact that the place was pretty busy. I also liked that the gratuity was automatically included on the check.

Clearly the best Sushi in South Florida. Have tried all the ones in Gables and the Beach, But Sushi. Siam on the Key is best, with excellent staff

We paid $ 93 for 3 people and ate bad food with a view of the parking lot! The Dragon Roll was fine but the asparagus in it is … strange. My brother in law ordered the ten zura which comes with cold noodles and tempura vegetables… strange! Finally I ordered a Thai Iced Tea cuz you can’t go wrong with that… and left it almost untouched. The waitress was ok but kind of indifferent to us. We realized why when we got the bill– the 15% gratuity is automatically included! Save your money & go somewhere else.

Sushi was average at best. Service was slow and lazy, even though the restaurant was empty. Disappointed. But my date had a eel roll and she seemed to like it. Slim pickings when to sushi selection.

I have come here a couple of times when I am at the beaches out this way… And at one time it seems to be the only sushi spot around. Now, I have been to other locations and have found them to be rather limiting if you want traditional sushi. I might be mixing it up with another chain but I do seem to feel like in general this sushi place is way overpriced and trying too hard to be too creative with sushi in my opinion. So the last time I went here with a friend we had been at the beaches and we’re tired and really wanted some sushi and we came here and this time instead of ordering sashimi we ordered some rolls… & I can tell you that it was probably one of the worst interpretations of spicy tuna I’ve ever had in my entire life. It was as if they use ketchup. & I eat sushi if those of you that follow me on Unilocal no all the time. I’ve never had a worse sushi roll experience in here. And what made it even worse was that we shared our feedback discreetly with our server and he was really douchey quite frankly and if I recall he didn’t even take it off of the bill. Like we actually had to ask for a manager to say that made us gag and we didn’t eat it please remove the charge from the bill. Here is the other thing to consider when you go here… Which I do not understand and please note that I worked in restaurants for 10 years during high school and college so I have been there done that as a waitress hostess and you name it… They automatically add 15% gratuity even if you are a table of one. I think that is absurd and on top of their outrageously high prices it ends up being incredibly expensive. I’m certain that they’re taking advantage of the fact that Biscayne Bay has quite a lot of resort guests and folks with money to spend but that is insane. I went there again recently after being at the beach just to get some sashimi and my bill for myself alone because it included the tip was over $ 50. That’s even more expensive than I pay in LA. Ultimately I can tell you that aside from the bad bad sushi rolls that we had the other stuff we ordered sashimi and some seaweed salad and my friend had some Thai noodles the food was good… The service is a little bit like a cold shoulder… The restaurant is clean so it’s not like someplace you want to avoid terribly but just know what you’re getting into.

Sushi Siam is in the heart of Key Biscayne, so I expected a cute place in the corner of a shopping center. To my surprise, it was quite elegant, dim lit, and semi-fancy with white table cloths and padded seats and booths. I was relieved that it wasn’t like every other Thai restaurant with the traditional wooden decorations and wooden furniture EVERYWHERE. BUT they had maybe one statement piece on the wall. The atmosphere was comfortable and quite enough to talk amongst your table. The sushi bar is in the back corner and pretty open. Also, toward the restroom was a wine cellar/shelving area so you can see the types of wines they carry. Aside from the ambiance, the food menu was very extensive. This is something to be expected from a Thai-Japanese fusion place. The menu was well organized and I was able to look for what without confusion. I went with a group of people so we all ordered different things: Appetizer(presented in a giant ice box) Sashimi mori: 16 pieces of tuna, salmon, yellow tail, and escolar $ 27 Entrees(gives soup/salad & white/brown rice options) Fried lobster and steak teriyaki with white rice $ 27 N.Y. steak & chicken teriyaki with white rice $ 23 Beef panang medium spicy with brown rice $ 19.95 Siam connection(chicken & shrimp & cashew) with white rice $ 19.95 Sushi rolls Dynamite roll Hot JB(Japanese bagel) roll Special Dragon roll Chef’s choice Everything was delicious and presented beautifully. I ordered the Beef panang because it’s one of my favorite Thai curry dishes. It was quite tasty but I wished the beef was a bit more tender. I can only compare it to Sukhothai in Tampa because it’s similar but not as perfect. Everyone who had the teriyaki dishes said that the meat was too tough/dry to eat. That’s something that can be overlooked but not ok for a place like this. The sushi was pretty good. Everything about it was beautifully made and delicious, but pretty common. It wasn’t memorable to me. The service was friendly and polite and we got our food pretty quickly. Overall, I liked the place to try it again if I’m ever in the area. But would get take out. Their take out looked busy constantly. And for the price, it is a tad expensive mostly because of the area and it’s Miami.

I was brought here on a first date. The ambiance was nice and the service was excellent. My date had a whole fried fish. It was good and I had a curry dish and it was delicious. I didn’t like that the brown rice was extra but I guess you can’t have it all.

There are other excellent options for Japanese, Thai & Asian Fusion in Key Biscayne… EXPLORETHEM! Sushi Siam will definitely disappoint. Place is tired and run down. Spring Rolls soggy; Dumplings are rubbery. Service is beyond atrocious — they rush you as if they have lines outside waiting… they do not! And watch out — they add the gratuity on, don’t tell you, and then are super miffed when you don’t tip them more — brazenly claiming that they usually get 30%… Of course, diners do not realize they the 15% is added on so they add the 15%(believe me the minimum for Key Biscayners!!!)

Food was ok but the service was brutal. Not friendly and our server literally disappeared in the middle of our meal. Finally had to flag down a different server just to get our check! Lots of other options in Key Biscayne that are a bit more customer friendly!

Very good Japanese restaurant right on Key Biscayne. They have been around for many years and have their menu down packed to a science. I tried their jerky beef and fried pork Gyozas appetizers also had their lobster, Siam, dragon, shrimp tempura rolls and they are amazingly tasty. To end our meal we had their Thai Donuts with condensed milk topped with sprinkled peanuts. I must say this restaurant offers one of the best delivery service right here on the island of Key Biscayne!

I have been living in Key Biscayne for 9 years. Sushi Siam has been a staple of my weekly dining. The manager is a bit disorganized and arrogant but the food is consistent for take out and consistently good! There is not one menu item I would recommend, it is all great. In property service has always moved this from a 5 to a 1 for me and though I will admit I have not rated Sushi Siam a 5 for quality, simplicity and consistency… tonight was enough. To the management — please for god sake, stop rushing people though their meals, pouring white wine from the bottle to the top of the glass, removing food from the table and placing in ‘doggie bags’ before the table is completed with their meal and FINALLY why are you charging at 15% gratuity fee for a table of 2 and 18% for 6 or more? I normally give 20% but will argue when forced to give 15%. When I asked why was I required to give 15%…the answer was… Señor you can always give more, that is minimum and we typically see 30%. Bloody hell — the service is not 30%, your clients do not realize you are ripping them off on the 15% to start. If business is bad get better, if people are cheap increase the prices slightly to compensate your employees but do not charge a minimum % for a table of 1 – 2 and if you receive 30%, clearly your customer was not paying attention an tell them… it will go a longer way to build trust and loyalty. I will buy again, just not dine in… Key Biscayne has many other restaurants now, for Thai try Origin Asian Bistro.

Great food and consistent quality at a place that’s been around for a long time. It’s not cheap but it’s guaranteed to be good.

We recently went for some sushi and had the most amazing experience! The sushi was some of the best we’ve ever had. I had the shrimp tempura roll, and my husband has the Boston and Dragon roll. We also had the spring rolls. Everything tasted fresh, the staff couldn’t be nicer, and the service was great. We brought my 9 month old son and they made him plain steamed vegetables and he loved those too. Definitely going back!

Good local restaurant. Food is good. Décor is nice. Prices are at par with the neighborhood. Service is SHORTOFEXCEPTIONAL. Perhaps it’s a cultural thing… but service is NOT friendly. It is slow. Staff is NOT accomodating. I am a local and really want to love this place. However, it falls flat. I’d rather go to Novecento next door! Train your staff, and I’ll be back.

On a positive: very fast service and no wait for a table.(Of course there were only about 2 other tables occupied). Staff was friendly. Negatives: sashimi didn’t taste as fresh as we would have liked. Not bad, but not really that good either. Dishes(plates) were pretty worn out. Some were chipped and seemed permanently stained. Ambiance was just off. I kind of like greenDay but really don’t think this kind of music adds to that sushi zen atmosphere one generally looks for in a restaurant. I don’t feel a need to go back.

Terrible food, terrible service. I ordered the Pad Thai, which was a large portion of the blandest tasting noodles I have ever eaten. I also ordered the«Dynamite Mussels» appetizer, which was a heap of mush on top of large, rubbery mussels. Both dishes were completely inedible. To top that off, the prices were astronomical — way out of proportion to the quality and value of the items. I can’t understand how anyone would give this restaurant more than one star. This was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have had in ages. I should have known something was wrong when I opened the menu to a large disclaimer indicating that once customers place their orders, the restaurant would not provide refunds if the food was not satisfactory. My advice: stay away.

Its just ok. I like some of the rolls, but they are to big in terms of rice. Not my favorite Sushi place. Dragon Roll is one of the best they have.

We visited a couple of weekends ago for Sunday lunch. Had the boat chu(for three); amazing! From all the Sushi Siam locations in Miami, this one is the best. I find the sushi here taste different and flavor/preparation is always spot on. The boat was packed with many pieces of sashimi(thick!) and nigiri. The selection was: Salmon, Tuna, BBQ Eel, Hamachi, Scallop and Shrimp. Plus 3 rolls: JB(no cream cheese), California, and Shrimp Tempura. Together with a couple of Sapporo’s, this meal was a fantastic feast to recup after a night of partying. Service is also great. Staff is very kind and attentive. The South American crowd can be very demanding, so these people do their work right!
