This establishment has reopened under Stanley’s Seaport Diner. I enjoyed a good breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast, bacon and fruit. My husband had ham and home fries with his eggs. The food was good, but the prices were not. Our bill came to $ 22.25. That plus a $ 5 tip put us over $ 27 for a simple breakfast! Why not have a special for $ 7.95 that includes coffee? This is for a hole in the wall in Keyport. The place was empty at 9:30 in the morning. When it was under the previous ownership, the counter was always full of regulars reading their papers and having breakfast. This is a cute cozy place, but their prices are way out of line for the neighborhood. Won’t be returning any time soon.

This diner always offered such a wonderful classic diner experience for so many years when Frank and Betty owned it. They were such nice hard honest people who served up excellent breakfast and lunch fare. The new owners have ruined the whole experience that this NJ diner was built upon. The staff is disappointingly rude. There are just too excellent choices in the Keyport area to consider patronizing this place. So many people miss the Seaport Diner we all knew and loved.

I used to own a business across the street from the Seaport Diner. I relocated to Chicago for work five years ago and have such fond memories of this classic diner. The husband(Frank) and wife are some of he nicest people I’ve ever met. At the time their lovely daughter worked there too. Food is priced right and always good. I can’t wait to visit again and say hello…

We have been going to the Seaport Diner for over 20 years now. Every establishment I’ve ever gone to, I tried their Chicken Franchaise… and none can compare to the Seaport Diner. It’s small and quaint. The owner is the cook and the food is GREAT! It goes to show — it doesn’t matter how elite or down home a place is… or how affordable or expensive a place is… good food is good food!!! Go, you will love it!

Love the service, food, atmosphere, etc! Definitely a place you want to hit if you are in the area. Eat some good food and take nice stroll down by the water. Everyone is very friendly and food comes out delicious. My husband and I call this diner«Our Place»

After moving to Jersey, and diner-ing myself out… I decided I don’t really like diners anymore because they are too expensive and the food is not that great… this one however, changed my mind! It is so old school and cute… and prices are so reasonable! I had soup, entrée, side, and dessert & coffee, for under 10 bucks… and it was quite tasty! Love this place– this is how I imagine diners used to be! Great!

This is a very small aluminum style diners that seems to have been lost in time. It hasn’t changed since I first went there as a kid back in the 1960s. Lost in the past because they probably haven’t heard about the poor economy because the food is so reasonably priced. You can get a great meal for under $ 10 along with that famous bottomless coffee cup. If you’re in the area, track this place down. Its a diner and wants to be a diner and not turn itself into a fancy restaurant. Love it and will return again and again when stateside.

In the words of Charlie Kelly«smooth, very very smooth stuff.» We decided to take a ride up to the Highlands/Keyport area for the hell of it and stumbled upon this gem of a diner. It is one of those old time dining cars, just like they used to make em’! The menu was filled with endless mouth-watering options, which made it difficult for us to make a decision since everything looked so good. Our waitress was adorable and not only tended to our every need but was friendly and talkative. I always enjoy it when servers like to make conversation. I ordered the eggplant parm sandwich and she ordered the turkey burger. We rounded out our gastrointestinal visit with an order of homemade onion rings, suggested by our waitress. The onion rings were definitely the highlight of the meal-homemade, crispy, not overwhelmed with batter and perfectly crispy. However, the sandwiches were also very good. Stevie Wonder played on the radio in the background as we scarfed down our food-this was my heaven. The bill was ridiculously cheap too! If the next experience is as good as this one, they will easily be a five star diner. I strongly recommend you pay them a visit. You won’t be disappointed.

Drove by and thought that this diner was so cute that i had to come in and try it out. I actually thought my meal was quite tasty and the service was spectacular. They were extremely friendly and hospitable. The prices were also ridiculously cheap — For $ 10 I got a soup, salad(try their house dressing, so good!), mashed potatoes, corn, my entrée of fresh ham w/apple stuffing(very yummy) and carrot cake! It definitely put me in a food coma afterwards.

I’ve tried to give this place a chance because it is cute and seems like its been around for a while, but the service is usually bad and the food is pretty sub-standard even for diner food.
