Came here for dinner one of the evenings when we stayed at Makena Beach and Golf Resort. It was really quiet especially during the renovation of the golf course — the views were everything!!! Had a nice quiet meal and then got shuttled back to the resort. It’s not on the main resort which is why it probably closed down it’s too bad it was a really nice place.

Great place to stop for lunch! Margaret was our server and gave us great recommendations! We had their seared ahi sandwich which was too good to describe and their seared ahi salad which was just as good! Drinks were very tasty as well. If you’re staying at their resort they have a driver that can take you up there for free. We were glad the«beach boys» told us to head up there.

We had lunch here once during our stay at Makena Golf & Beach Resort. it was pretty good. The service was great. We tried the Beef sliders, ribs and onion rings. All were delicious. The outdoor seating offers a very nice view of the resort as well.

Wow, what a pleasant start to our vacation. 1. Service was on point. Asked for the brand of the red and white«house wine» and the waitress did not bat an eye. Kudos to them for also serving good wine during happy instead of the typical vinegary stuff served at other places during hh. 2. The food was extremely good! A big, fat, succulent piece of fresh ahi cooked medium rare inside a fresh onion role. They also didn’t hold back on the avocado portion. Aaaand… one of my pet peeves are fries coming out lukewarm and NOT crispy. That wasn’t the case here. Good job guys. I’m here for a week and will certaily return.

We decided to check out this place strictly on the fact that we were placed at this resort after United Airlines cancelled our red eye flight. The Makena Beach Resort actually wasn’t too bad of a resort, but I wished we had used our food vouchers elsewhere. The restaurant is located towards the top of the hill so you will need to have the hotel shuttle you up to the top. The staff at the restaurant was nice enough and it was great to have patio seating available. However, the food we felt was subpar and didn’t end up finishing our food. We left feeling pretty dissatisfied but at least it was a comped meal.

Not fine dining, but top café value. If you don’t get the Ahi sandwich here you better have an allergy as your excuse because it rocks! Across the board the food was superb and the hospitality friendly. Excellent value. Don’ worry about the small number of reviews on Unilocal.Head on over to trip advisor if you need numbers of happy customers.

First day on Maui and hotel staff suggested Café on the Green as a place to nosh. We were looking for a place for a pre-meal snack and since it was happy hour, might as well, right? Service and appetizers are good but view is better. Had the lettuce the thai lettuce wraps. Something new as we’ve never had it with quinoa. Pretty good. Chicken yakitori sticks were okay. Little dry for my taste. Good place for a snack and a view of the golf course. If you’re staying at the Makena Beach Resort, the bell staff will shoot you up there and get you when you’re done.

We ate from the happy hour menu at Café on the Green. It was absolutely superb! The food was amazingly presented, and amazingly priced as well. The specials ranged from $ 4-$ 6.(I posted a pic of the menus if you want more detailed prices) We ordered: Teriyaki Chicken Yakatori — beautifully presented, the chicken was delicious and tender and the sauce was good All Beef Sliders — Probably the highlight of the meal! One of the best sliders I have ever had Yum! Thai Style Lettuce Wraps — didn’t eat this particular one, but was told by fellow diners that it was fantastic Chicken Quesadillas — I found this just okay(a bit bland). Probably would taste better with salsa and sour cream The Dip Stick — 4 smallish grilled pieces of bread with a balsamic olive oil dip. Not the best deal. The service at this place was good, and the waitress was friendly. Besides the food, the view was the best part. The restaurant overlooks the golf course, and it is so pretty! The kids meals look a little pricey($ 5.00 for a glass of fruit punch, and $ 9 for a cheeseburger?) Better off getting the happy hour menu if you are there early enough. Casual restaurant, with great food, prices, views and location. Yep, this one is a winner. Highly recommended!

During our stay at Makena Beach and Golf Resort we had the great pleasure of trying out this wonderful little café and with a slight sigh from my husband we agreed to sit outside. He, of course, was tucked away in the shade of the table’s umbrella while I opted to bask in the glorious Maui sun. Not long after getting situated our server arrived with menus. We ordered the sliders and some of their battered Maui onion rings. It normally comes with a side of ranch horseradish sauce, but I asked for regular ranch instead. When our order came it was just the right size to split, 2 perfectly portioned sliders and a grand stack of rings. The server brought the regular ranch as well as the horseradish ranch just in case we wanted to try it out. I didn’t, I know that I don’t like horseradish in any way possible but I can appreciate the notion. The sliders were absolutely delicious! They had avocado and bacon, which are two things that I don’t usually put on my burgers(I know, I know, what kind of Californian are you, right?) but I loved every second of that little thing. And the rings were fantastic! Some of the best I’ve ever had, plus the view of the golf course was a feast for the eyes. It was a lovely experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat if we were ever back to Maui! Only I think next time I would sit a little more in the shade. I loved the feeling of the hot sun on my skin but my skin was a little less pleased.
