Prodiver Maui

Had a blast with Scott and Jen, on our Maui dive. They were very fun and full of life. I really enjoyed diving with them. They were very noligable of the dive locations, and very informative of the abundant sea life in Maui. Jen was great and tryed very hard to make it a great experience, and it was. I saw so much coral and fish, and bunch of sea turtles.
They had great snacks that were homemade. Very delicious! They also had sodas water and coffee for us.
My wife was a little scared to dive becuase it had been 2 years since he last time, but afted speaking with Jen, and her motivating her she was good to go, and she loved it.
I had read so many Unilocal reviews on maui diving, I just didn’t want some one who didn’t care, and was going to treat us like crap. I am so glad I chose them becuase they were so down to earth.
We ever rescued a woman that was out in the ocean snorkeling amd drifted to far out. They acted so fast, and was very professional. We looked for her sister and dropped her off on the beach (crazy!) Safety first!

We went diving with Prodiver Maui on May 22^nd and loved every minute! The crew is friendly, the dive master is fun and informative!
We were set to dive at two locations, but in-​between divers they found out there were dolphins in the area. Our boat Capitain took us over so we could see some dolphins before the second dive!
When underwater our dive master brought along a little board that he could write fish names and interesting info on so it was a very educational dive.
They were safe and informative the entire time and we would love to come back and dive with them again!

You all made our dive trip to the back wall of Molokini an unforgettable dive, boat ride all together excellent morning.
If you are looking for a real dive trip on Maui, I highly recommend Pro Diver Maui. The boat is comfortable, fast and fully equipped for excellent diving. I used the gear on the boat and I was pleasantly surprised that it all was in such great condition.
Again thank you Prodiver Maui. Everyone else I highly recommend you take a dive with them.

Did the wall dive on molokini and a reef dive. Awesome time and would definitely return. Most professional recreational dive I have been on!

We had a great time. Clean boat, great rental equipment, the crew was friendly and helpful. They were so good we decided to dive with them the second day of our trip. Top notch. I will definitely come back to.

I’ve tried several of the top rated dive boats in Maui and this is my favorite. Frankly most of the boats I’ve gone with can boast friendly and knowledgeable crews so that’s not been an issue with me. Prodiver stands out for me because they take small groups of divers out and I find I can get more personal attention. They do set everything up for you so about all you have to do is get on the wetsuit, slip into your fins and they’ll help you don your BC which they’ve set up for you in advance. I like also that they’re very flexible about where they dive– they keep close track of current water conditions and adjust their itinerary accordingly. They will invite requests on occasion and enjoy following whales for their guests between dives. All in all I’ve always enjoyed my dives with them.

This company is great. Capt. Keone, the owner, is great. Very accommodating. We had three divers and two snorkeled. Scott, one of the dive masters certified one of us. The rest of us were seasoned veterans. We went to the Molokini creator. We did the back wall and the front. The crew was superb. They set up all gear for you so if your like me just ask prior to set your own up and they will accommodate. They try to make your trip as fun as possible. We saw about 20 – 30 humpbacks and Capt keone followed them. Had one go under the boat. It was as the Capt says, EPIC! Missy and JEN were our guide and they were awesome. Going back again in a couple days before we leave for home for one more day of diving..

The rental gear was pretty good! Digital and all! Didn’t feel as crappy as some other rentals I’ve gotten in the past! They even rented me the same $ 125 flippers I bought at home !
The boat was a decent size, was stocked with tea and coffee and a ton of snacks including chunky chocolate chip cookies and fresh cut pineapple.
The dive, can you really rate a dive at Molokini? It was awesome! I’ve been to other dive sites which I enjoyed in Maui but given the water conditions, it was front and back of Molokini today.
Now for the last but not least: the crew!
What a great team they got there! I’ve been diving for more than a decade and I’m not a pro diver. Just the occasional single 2-​tank dive on a vacation a few times a year, I’ve encountered staff that just want to get thru the day, I’ve seen staff that is so pretentious that you don’t want to be there, but these guys had some genuine smiles, were all super nice and fun to be with. Even if all we saw was a rock underwater, I couldn’t imagine having a better time than anyone else!

Amazing crew and great diving. Everyone was a pro and was very helpful. Great brief with the guide & had an excellent time. No frills here, small groups, small crew, great diving, nice and simple!

My friend and I did the 2 tank dives with them at the Molokini crater — the crew was very nice and professional. They made our dive very pleasant and there was a total feeling of security and control at all time.

My Wife and I went out with Prodiver recently and had such a great time, I had to post online about it. The first impression was what a great time the Captain and crew were having at work. Check-​in was quick, easy and coffee was provided, then off we went. The ride to Molokini was smooth, and we were treated to some buns and croissants. Try the Honey butter, YUM! We had Missy as our DM, her briefing was thorough and detailed. These guys love to drift Molokini if they can, luckily we were able to do so that day. The first dive was great, 100′++ visibility, beautiful yellow frogfish that Missy found for us, and white tip reef sharks were the highlight.
Fresh cut pineapple and beverages available in-​between the dives, and then a great shallow dive with turtles for dive two. The things that stood out most for me; we never felt rushed, the crew were so much fun, but obviously experienced, well trained and safety conscious. We cant thank you enough for the amazing morning of diving we had. Mahalo Capt Keone, Missy, Scott, and Jen. We’ll be back, and will highly recommend your charter to all our peeps.

These guys were top notch when it came to knowledge, courtesy, and preparation for our 2 dives off of Molokini. In the past I have gone on other dive trips and the boats were crowded and the crews were in a rush. With Prodiver Maui this was definitely not the case :) Captain Keone and Dive Master Scott provided us with two excellent dives off the east and west side of Molokini. When we got to the boat ALL of our gear was cleaned and ready for us. They try to keep the groups small and there were only 5 people on the boat which made for a very personalized experience. Between dives we were welcome to dive off the boat, tell corny jokes, eat snacks that were provided, as Scott changed our tanks. When we were heading back into shore Scott cleaned all of our equipment with fresh water without us even asking! Such amazing service! Excellent dives and crew! We 100% recommend this SCUBA company on Maui :))

I am a frequent traveler to Kihei and have dove with many of the dive operators that launch out of Kihei.
On this trip we decided to give prodiver Maui a try. We booked for a party of 3 several weeks in advance and confirmed our reservation the day before the trip. We were told «see you at 6:30 tomorrow morning at the boat ramp». Later that day at 5:00 pm they called us and canceled our trip because they did not have enough people reserved on the boat to make a profit.
This left us without a reservation.
I understand that dive trips may get canceled if not enough customers are booked, however, it is unacceptable to wait until 5 PM the night before the trip to make this decision. If they had let us know earlier in the day, so that we could book with another company before the end of the day, we would have understood.
I would not recommend this company due to their lack of professionalism.

Boat Dive: Super friendly crew, slow pace, in-​depth briefing made our two dives fantastic. Crew split us into small groups — made it so personal and accommodating. Amazing service. Highly recommend the boat dive. 5 stars.
So why the low ranking? 1 Star for Alex and the shore dive. Worst instructor EVER!
ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF PRODIVER, we booked a shore dive to help my wife reacclimate since our certification last year. On the day of the dive (04/​08/​2015), Alex showed up 20 minutes late. Fairmont staff incredibly apologetic and accommodating but did not seem surprised. Once he arrived, rush — rush — rush. No briefing. No review. No nothing — just hurry, hurry, hurry to the surf. My wet suit was too small. He seemed annoyed by my request for a larger size. Then off to the surf. Alex physically dragged my 12 year old son through the surf rather than allow him to walk under his own power — son almost in tears. Once in the water, I needed more weight but never once checked on me or was close enough to get his attention. Afterwards blamed me for not letting him know! Ridiculous. Almost cancelled boat dive but glad we didn’t.
Absolutely LOVED the boat dive. Shore dive — go with anyone else.

Awesome guide master and staff that were super friendly and knowledgable. Dan was our dive master and had an underwater pad to write out cool tidbits about the wildlife. Some dive masters make you feel stupid for asking questions but as someone with only 10 previous dives I asked him questions without embarrassment and he was happy to answer them.
Our equipment (wet suits, find, masks, tanks, the works) was top quality and very clean/​sanitized.
Then the site — INCREDIBLE! The Molokini wall is awe inspiring. And we went in March and could her the whales talking under water which the most special thing I’ve ever experienced.
Would highly recommend them!

We had two great dives this morning thanks to Prodiver. Our boat captain was Wayne and the dive leaders were Dan and Gary. They also had a deck hand/​extra diver assistant aboard (Hayden) in case we dove the back wall of Molokini Crater. Sadly, it was smashing rough back there, so we dove the interior reef instead. I appreciated the crew’s attention to safety. The crew made it easy to get geared up and into the water. The ratio was 4:1. Visibility was great; the dive leaders were patient and showed us lots of cool marine life. Our second dive was at the Red Hill, a wonderful drift dive full of turtles. Prodivers made everything easy, pleasant, and safe.

I had a fantastic time diving with Prodiver Maui this month. I guess because it was the holiday season, there were more of us in the boat but the ratio of 1 divemaster per 5 divers was maintained. There were hot drinks, cinnamon rolls and pineapple slices on the boat. We left early for the Molokini Crater and saw several humpback whales very near the edge of the crater! Due to the surf we didn’t go all the way to the back wall but we were very close to it and were able to peek into the abyss. Saw a reef shark, and lots and lots of fish, crustaceans and coral. The visibility was impressive, despite the cloudy day that we went. However, the major highlight was hearing the whales sing. At first, I thought there was something wrong with my equipment, or my ears are doing something crazy while equalizing. But then I paused to listen and heard long grunts, chirps … definitely some exchange going on … and they were so very loud! The second dive site (St Anthony’s wreck) was much less impressive, but some coral were already starting to establish themselves in the wreck (except the rubber tires). The captain jokingly said their last boat — which sank last year — may become a dive site, too. Wow, it’s got to be the most awesome/​awkward dive joke ever! Compared to other places I’ve dived, Molokini gets 4-​stars and St Anthony’s wreck gets 2-​stars. The 5-​star rating goes for the crew. They were very helpful and lots of fun; it is very clear that they are excellent at what they do and it came through with their professionalism and enthusiasm. The operation had a seamless quality to it and they really pamper their divers. I highly recommend going with them for your scuba adventure in Maui!

I love the small boat. The crew (two) were great too. Because it was my first time diving in Maui, I really had only heard of molokini crater. Which is a must for every one. The clarity was phenomenal. If you are there around this time you can still hear the whales… and yes we saw one too.
I really liked that I didn’t have to come up with everyone else on the boat because of air. The guide really let me enjoy my tank to the fullest.
Only one suggestion… when someone doesn’t do their safety stop. I would say something to them… but then again maybe they did and I didn’t see it. I’m a safety nut mainly because I’m a scaredy cat.
I do recommend bringing you’re own gear. and at the very least a flash light.
Great guys though… they also take recommendations.

Great dives today with Lizzie and Paul. Nothing fancy but great service. Our gear was ready for us, they helped us into the water and really watched out for everyone’s safety. We dove the back wall first. It was really cool. Oh, forgot to mention… Saw a Whale!
After we did the 5 caves which was super as well. Lots of turtles and a few sharks. Lizzie did a great job showing us around and pointing things out we never would have seen in our own. When we five again in Maui we will definitely go back out with Prodiver!
